Reason for poll: I like mixing characters into different universes and what not. I find it fun to see what it would be like for that character to exist in a land different than they originated. I wanted to use a ffVII version of Tidus, but I couldnt decide which class of SOLDIER to include him in. Your vote will be helpful.

It depends on which rules of which universe you'll abide to when creating him. For obvious reasons I guess you'll forgo the entirety of ''Tidus is a dream'' story, but will his powers be given by materia/mako like the soldiers of FFVII? I also ask because by SOLDIER standards, pretty much any hero from any of the FF game would be strong enough to be part of 1st class by a landslide.

I've always hated Tidus. All he does is bitch and cry. He deserves to be nothing, but a meatshield. What's the worst option I can vote to put him under.

I was planning for him to be a product of Project S that created Sephiroth, given to an EX-SOLDIER to adopt then for him to eventually join SOLDIER. He would already have power granted to him through Project S, but perhaps would gain more from exposure to Mako. On another note, Tidus's skill comes from his athleticism, and is a novice in combat. However considering the adversaries he has faced as a guardian, he has potential to be a soldier 1st class, but could fall in easily to 2nd or maybe upper ranks of 3rd class.

As for you Caz, I plan to make him a little bit tougher than his FFX counter part if that makes you happy. Please note that this is another incarnation, which means it will not be exactly the same, but similar.

Could you be any less specific?

I don't care much for his personality either, but we're talking about overall skill and power level here.

If he's enhanced a la Sephiroth he's clearly going to be a First Class SOLDIER. If he also has experienced the events of FFX through, he is First Class. No way even a second class could have lived through that adventure without some serious power.

No this is a different Tidus. This version is if he was in the FF VII, never to experiance the events of FFX. I meant by falling in Class 2 or 3 was on terms of skill. He has the power and talent, but lacks the skill to go further. At least that's what im thinking. I see what you mean by having him a 1st class.

im thinking about it, maybe making both him and Auron together. Auron would no doubt make Soldier 1st class, but I need to know what Tidus would make, hence the thread.
