To Rival God [Chapter XVIII]

"Yeah, lets."

Ranko didn't move. Instead when the bullets came Kasul responded by emitting an electromagnetic field that forced the bullets away from the Crimson Devil and rendered his bullets useless in this fight. As the Demon Killer stopped just a couple of feet away from Ranko's position he would soon regret getting in close as the Crimson Devil swung her blade and created a miniature black hole of nothingness between them that threatened to consume Dante where he stood. Her own body immune to the pulling force of the black hole having adapted to it when the Demon Slayer from Domino City dropped this bombshell during his escape from the Netherrealm.

Now it was theirs to control.

[Oblivion]
[Hulk]

The green being wasn't unnoticed as it fell out of the portal, but Oblivion didn't pay it much attention... much to his dismay. As he swung Arawn to cut down a demon, the green beings fist connected with Oblivion's face,forcing him backwards a fair distance. Oblivion's expression was one of genuine surprise, as not just any opponent could use nothing more than brute force to interrupt his attacks. "Not every day that I meet someone of equal strength!" Arawn and Nemain disappeared from his hands as Oblivion crouched down, ready to take on this green being, the Hulk.

He lunged at the Hulk, fist cocked back and ready to fire it into the Hulk's chest.

Back inside the temple, possibly unnoticed, a green line appeared in midair. After a second, the line expanded into a portal, from which came a young blond girl in blue and white robes. She stepped out of the portal, eyes closed, and the portal closed behind her. Her eyes flew open, suddenly hearing the sounds of battle. Looking over, she spotted the two men in combat attire and a woman with pink hair and what seemed to be armor pulsating with the power of Light. Obviously the woman in armor of Light wasn't fighting for the demon army, but all the same, she was at a disadvantage of numbers. Allona would fix that. She held her right arm extended outward to her side, and a silver thread came into existence from her hand. The thread turned into a beam of light which in turn became a sword, which she then grasped with her hand. The tip of the blade pulsated with a green aura, and as she swung the sword through the air, another green line appeared. The portal opened up, but immediately sealed, for she had already jumped inside. She moved over to the battle, hovering over the generals, unseen, unable to be sensed, completely in a side-dimension, unable to attack the enemy, but able to watch.

[Der-Sprecher-des-Wahnsinns]

No regrets little miss red headed crimson 'devil'. Dante jumped back and plunged his sword into the ground and walked across it. He crossed his arms and looked down as he stood on the handle of his blade between the black hole and Ranko. "They never send me the pretty ones." It took a moment for Dante's devil trigger to recognize the threat and cancel out the effects of the black hole itself. Eventually he would become weighted down by gravity yet again and flip off his sword and land on the ground. Despite there being a gaping maw of death in front of him he easily resisted it by using the netherrealms energies against it.

"Don't tell me you thought that this was going to be easy," he smirked at her, "What fun would that be if I just laid down and died?"

[Kragen]

Alex would soon find herself running into a black hole of her own as she had little time to pull back with how quick she was charging towards Scorpion before the vacuum hit her, the hole also absorbing the holy energy into it allowing Noob Saibot a free hit on the woman in case she found a way around its effects. His senses detecting Allona for the brief moment she appeared on the field before disappearing again and keeping an eye out as another demon portal opened up behind the advancing Aircano soldiers. More assassins from the two clans boxing them in as the sanctuary became overran with demons and another portion continued their way up to the elders at the top of the temple.

"Come then. Face the true power of the Netherrealm."

While Quan Chi prepared to do battle the sorcerers in the area began to intercept the Aircano soldiers who were using their magics to seal the opening portals. Pushing them back with telekinesis and then raising the dead to chase them down as they guarded the portals from the Holy Knights allowing for more of the fallen angels to arrive and join the battle.

[Garrus Vakarian]

A spirit ball shot out of Noob's hands and connected with Alexia to inflict massive damage while at the same time confusing the woman as he threw his own shadow directly behind the ball while she was distracted with that to tackle her into the floor.

[Alex]

"Ah, ah."

Alex shielded herself in a cocoon of holy energy that acted as fodder for the nearby black hole protecting her own body from being absorbed as she dashed away and towards the position of Noob. Lifting up her shield and blocking the spirit ball as she continued forward with three forward slashes that tore it way through the shadow and followed up with a overheard downward slash and an upward slash with enough force to him flying as she now had plenty of distance between herself and the blackhole.

"You three!"

Alex called out to three soldiers holding off the demon soldiers and keeping away from the miniature black hole that appeared in their temple.

"Protect the elders. I have a freaky, shadow thingy and his boyfriend to kill."

The three nodded and then ran after the assassins on their way towards the elders position. The Holy Knights outside casting holy protective shields of their own to ward off the sorcerers attack and pressing on through the fallen angels to resume closing the portals before anymore came out. The rest escorting the civilians out of the city in the same manner General Solomon did during the battle against Aper one year ago.

Lenega's eyes only slightly left Quan Chi to watch all the supporting troops move in. He needed to end this quickly otherwise the army my very well roll over the resistance here before the battle even started, not that he expected Quan Chi to be a pushover. And whats more perhaps with one of their generals defeated it might yet force the demon army into a temporary retreat. If nothing else allowing the other resistance members to regroup here and form a defense. They couldn't afford to give up any more ground.

”You'll have to excuse me if I'm in a hurry.” Lenega said as he surged forward aiming a simple thrust at him. The speed behind it didn't reflect his stature, but then again neither did the fact he had already taken several soliders from their ranks. At the very least he could hope that in the next cycle he had a better life then this one. One that didn't lead to so much death and he would at least give him that at the end of all of this.

There was no response from the Hulk as in this stage he was too far gone for any kind of communication and the control from the demon world made things worse than they normally were for him. He absorbed the blow with his bare chest and then brought his own arms together and slammed them into the ground sending a powerful shock wave towards Oblivion.

[Oblivion]

The punch definitely connected, but the Hulk didn't show much reaction to it. Tough little bastard... Oblivion moved back, but not fast enough to avoid the shockwave that came right after. It threw him backwards, falling to his back, though he continued the momentum into a backward roll, pushing off to get back to his feet and grabbing the ground to bring him to a stop. Oblivion's expression went from a sneer to a serious one. He walked over to Hulk and feinted a left hook but instead pulled an uppercut to the jaw.

The cut was made, this one very quick and silent, and Allona fell through, and within the span of half of a second, three more threads of silver appeared and became swords, all four swords held telekinetically now. She had opened a portal right behind Scorpion, aiming two swords downward diagonally one way with the other two going downward diagonal the other way. One of her most simple techniques, designed to cripple unarmored foes or damage the armor, and also doubled as a rapid strike defense.

Once she had delivered her strike, whether they hit or not, she vanished right back into a portal, falling straight into it.

[Ayen]

"They never send me the pretty ones. Don't tell me you thought that this was going to be easy. What fun would that be if I just laid down and died?"

The black hole vanished as quickly as it appeared and Ranko held Kasul at the ready. The fallen angels around her position was pushing back the Aircano soldiers who were trying to cut a path to their leader. No one would be interfering in this as the back of Ranko's hand faced Dante and her fingers beckoned him to her.

[Der-Sprecher-des-Wahnsinns]

"If you insist little red riding bitch," Dante said pulled his sword out the ground. He started his advanced by lazily dragging his sword across the ground behind him in his right hand as he ran directly toward Ranko. Once in range he swiped with his blade with lightning accuracy for her weapon as to avoid being countered on the first move. The observation was a direct attack to the Kasul would easily make an opening for a second attack while limiting all efforts to find an opening in his offense. There was plenty of openings, but every one he knew about and allowed to remain that way for the savage fact of giving him hundreds of counter options.

[Ayen]

Ranko's sword was knocked to the side by Dante's blade and the counter she had planned was now out of the question as the hybrid continued his push towards the Netherrealm's Queen.

[Kragen]

Scoprion anticipated a sneak attack once he felt the other warrior the first time and was already prepared. Spinning around as the slashes came cutting through his flesh and revealing the bones underneath. He endured, his human garb reforming as the spear attached to the rope stabbed Allona in the chest and pulled her right into the black hole while she attempted to fall back into the portal and vanish.

Quan Chi only lifted up a finger as the man lunged at him, and in the midst of his lunge he would run right into a powerful laser beam that shot upon his head from above the sky. Stopping his advance as the sorcerer followed up with a charge of his own. A green skull magically appearing in his hands in time to slam it into Lenega's face. Meanwhile the sorcerers under Quan Chi's command cause the ground beneath the Holy Knights to collapse as they guard the portals and the fallen angels stepped over them to continue their advance on the city.
