Special Abilities:
Healing/regeneration/death- Being a Reaper, I am inherently the embodiment of death and therefore cannot die expect by certain means. Either by complete obliteration of the body, atoms and all, or killed by another reaper. From this, it can be deduced that regenerative and healing properties would be present within the reaper’s makeup. This would be correct dear~ It takes very little time at all for me to heal a wound or severed limb.
Human form- Sometimes to get the job done, a little deception is needed. Such as with my role with Madame Red. I was required to take the form of a human in order to help her achieve her goals. It worked rather well too.
Travel- As part of my job description, I have access to The Reaper’s (or Shinigami’s) Library seeing as it is my main dispatch point. From there I may also travel over many different dimensions including the pit, or hell. Either way you prefer. Goodness being a reaper does give so many advantages for travel. Teleportation being one of those things. <3
Resistances- Being the very embodyment of death, there is not much that affects him as far as spells, energy manipulation, and mind bending go. The only ways to affect his mind, body, or soul is through another reaper.
Weapons:
Death Scythe- A reaper’s chainsaw that has the uncanny ability to cut through anything, and I do mean everything. After all, how am I supposed to get an unwilling soul to do anything if they are being difficult? As such, it is indestructible and has been modified so that it cannot be jammed… As another precaution, I can control its movement such that, should it be used against me by some unfortunate soul, I can shut it off without having to touch it. As an added bonus, I can move it through the air with the ease that a butterfly flaps it’s wings! As well as choosing how good it’s cutting power is. Again, no hands needed deary~
Being a reaper’s scythe, it comes in very handy for soul collecting. Cutting through a person gives me the option to take their soul and collect it or to send it to the next world for weighing. It also allows me to look deep into their cinematic records- their memories and life stories.
As for where I store it.. Well, that is my little secret
Mini Scythes- These little beauties work the same as my usual Death Scythe but are more easily manually manipulated for getting into tight spaces. Like my usual weapon, I can control what they cut through and what they don’t along with the fact that I can manipulate them once they leave my hand.
Scissor Scythes- On a less pleasant note, I also have kept the infernal little scissors that were given to me during William’s little demotion frenzy. But I have remodeled them to be just a tad more deadly for use as projectiles as well as and handled weapon. Just like my other scythes, they are indestructible and can cut through anything though I can choice whether they do or not. As a little treat, I can make them hone in on a target, but once they are out of my grip, I no longer have control of them. Learn to duck deary <3
History:
Not a whole lot is known about Grell Sutcliff except that he is a Dispatch Officer for the Grim Reapers’ Dispatch Management Division. Although he is fond of the job, Grell often goes against the code of the Reapers to get his own agenda finished. Such was the case with the Madame Red. He assisted her in the brutal murders of several women, claiming to understand her motives behind the brutalities. In the end he found her unfit to help any longer and took her life after a confrontation with Sebastian Michaelis, the butler to a local noble class family.
After this confrontation, Grell got demoted on the job ladder and was forced to give up his chainsaw Death Scythe for a pair of small Death Scythe scissors. His duties earned his chainsaw back by assisting Sebastian in the regaining of his master’s soul, however. Between that time and their first meeting, he often assisted Sebastian and his comrades in their endeavors seeing as following them often lead to a soul pick up in his favor. Not only that but his infatuation with the demon butler was only fed by the companionship. However, his Reaper duties often took him in other directions.
As such, he managed to get assigned to the world of Genesis to take the souls of the soon to be lost. But on his personal agenda- he was looking for his beloved demon butler…
