The sun was beginning to set as the figure wandered through the still yet ruined section of Hallowton. Standing at under five and a half feet tall, the figure seemed rather slight, with a small and lithe body to match his diminutive stature. His long red hair was bound up in a ponytail that fell to his waist, and his eyes were a bright and brilliant blue, with his most distinctive feature being the cross shaped scar on his left cheek. His face was set in a light smile as he wandered down the street, his clothing marking him as someone that was foreign to this world. He wore a double shirt, open at the center as it was held together by a a belt at his waist. His over shirt was red, the inner one being white and they billowed around his arms as did the white pants he wore over sandaled feet. At his hip rode a unremarkable but travel worn sheath with a worn katana hilt bouncing against him gently.
His eyes traveled across the buildings as he sought a place to stay for the night, a travel pack bouncing against his back as he held it in his right hand. He finally settled unknowingly on the Hellsing mansion, which looked much better to camp for the night than the surrounding ruins. He wandered over to a a fountain the bubbled pleasantly and lowered his pack, sinking down to sit beside it as he built a small fire, scooping some water out of the fountain to start boiling over the sheltered fire. He wasn't exactly paranoid, but that didn't mean he wanted to attract random strangers to his little campsite. He had barely enough food for himself, let alone any others. As much as he wanted to help, he did need to eat. He sets up his little teapot over the fire to get the water boiling as he pulls some rice balls out of his pack that had been wrapped carefully to still be good to eat. He leans against the fountain as he turns his eyes to the sky, watching the stars slowly come into existence as he ate slowly.

Night had fallen again, and he was preparing to make his evening rounds as he quietly shut the door to Integra's room behind him. He'd just helped her get ready for bed; and was now taking the tray with the empty tea cup and pitcher from the room so as to clean them in the kitchen. Integra would likely be going to bed within the hour, so he now had the rest of the evening to himself. He inspected the mansion from top to bottom, gathering other dirty dishes left for him by the residents. He was building up a nice stack; balanced neatly upon the first platter which was expertly supported by one hand. He took a few moments in certain rooms to dust and polish as necessary; before taking up his dishes once more. Occasionally, he would pass one of the said residents of the mansion; and all of them had smiles and thanks for him as he passed. He had been here for a little under a week; and already had a rather high reputation around the place.
Finally arriving in the kitchen, he was forced to escort a few people out; who had been insisting on helping him with the cleaning. "Come now, you need your rest." Was the main answer he'd given in response to offers. When the mansion was finally silent with all residents bedding down; he returned to the kitchen again and placed his dining utilities on a counter. It took under 5 minutes for him to cleanse and shine the pile of materials to the point of looking brand new; and he took next to no time at all to replace everything into the proper cabinets. Once that was all completed, he made his way to the double front doors; majestic in themselves. He exited the mansion, and began his routine inspection of the grounds; removing weeds and anything else unwelcome in the garden, cutting hedges back into their perfect shapes, making sure the fountains continued to run clear. Toward the middle of the grounds however, the strange scent reached him.
Immediately, she turned toward the shadowy figure near one of the many fountains; smelling the fire all to clearing along with the stranger himself. With much stealth; he skirted around the area, steering well clear of the intruder's line of sight until he was stationed between the stranger and the front gates. The only escape the stranger would have now would be toward the mansion, which would only end badly for the offender. Sebastian wasted no time as he stepped into the path between two hedges which bordered the concrete trail to the gates. His stance remained relaxed; and that eerie calm seemed to radiate from him as he approached with a rather cruel smile upon the face. Those red eyes had a strange look in them; as if he had just come across a rather juicy piece of meat, or soul in his case. No, he wasn't even remotely interested in the trespasser's identity or soul; but this was too good an opportunity to pass up. Integra would want to know of this...
He came to a halt about ten feet away from the trespasser, his gloved hands clasped behind his back as the tailcoat fluttered in a non-existent breeze. "Well look at this... I thought I smelled a rat... Poking around in places where he doesn't belong..." The voice was soft, and seemed to have a purr to it almost. "Tell me... Doesn't it strike you as rather inconsiderate to stroll around uninvited on someone's private property?" His eyes flicked over to rest on the obvious campground pointedly for a moment, before returning to lock upon the youth's own blue eyes. "If you wanted a place to stay, all you had to do was knock at the gate and wait to be admitted; we do not turn away travelers... But now, I'm afraid I shall have to treat you as an intruder; and uninvited and unwelcome guest. How sad..."

While patiently waiting for his water to boil, he noticed someone moving towards him. He remained relaxed and uncaring, reaching into his pack to pull out a little box that held more rice balls. As the strange voice spoke to him he blinked. "Oro?" he says in confusion, before noting the man standing across from him. He smiles apologetically as he was told he was trespassing. "Oh! My apologies, I didn't realize that this place was being occupied, given the state of everything else around here." he says with a laugh. "If you'd like, you're more than welcome to join me, that you are. I don't have much, but I'd be glad to share with you indeed I would." he says pleasantly, smiling still as he rubbed his head.
"I don't mean to cause any trouble, I'll be on my way then, unless you'd be so kind as to allow a tired wanderer to rest his feet and enjoy a meal?" he says, smiling at the demon across from him. Due to his many travels, he'd picked up many odds and ends and various abilities, it was rather easy then to determine it was a demon across from him, but he wasn't bothered at all. He really didn't want any conflict afterall, so there was no point in getting worked up. Besides, he was just as much a person as he was, albeit an employed one it seemed. He laughs nervously, holding out his box of food. "Here, have one. They aren't very luxurious I'm afraid, but they're certainly filling. You should at least try one, it's all I have to apologize with after all." he says, still smiling. He wondered if perhaps the whole place was owned by demons. He wouldn't be very surprised, given what he'd been hearing about wars in the other countries. But perhaps it was just the one demon in the employ of other people. That wasn't unheard of before, and it seemed the most likely. Otherwise he'd probably already be under attack.

Sebastian was caught completely off guard by the reaction he got from the stranger. He had been expecting an escape attempt, or a sudden display of hostility by means of defense. But the intruder generously offered his own limited food supply, and even apologized for his trespassing. To be honest, the butler wasn't sure how the hell the thing hadn't known this land wasn't taken. There was that huge manor in plain sight after all; within the gates which surrounded this courtyard. But there had been quite a wide variety of strange beings and problems in this world, perhaps this one had amnesia of some sort... Or maybe he just lacked common sense. Well, at least he showed manners.
The demon allowed his fierce gaze to soften, and a smile passed over his features. He shook his head at the offer of the food. "Thank you Sir, but I am not interested in taking food that belongs to others. Your generosity is appreciated though." He paused, then sighed as butler duties took over. He bowed to the unexpected guest, and spoke again. "Forgive me for my lack of welcome. Here at the Hellsing Manor, we tend to be very suspicious of the unknown." He straightened up, unseen thoughts flickering about in the depths of his eyes. He would invite this traveler in, but he would be keeping a close eye on him during his stay. He was, however, genuinely sympathetic of the food this man had been reduced to eating. "I will allow your trespassing to slip, just this once. We have more than enough room in the mansion for one more. But I expect you to show the utmost courtesy if Sir Integra passes by. She is the head of this mansion, and I will be telling her about your untimely arrival. I can grant you this one night; but any more hospitality will only be extended with the master's permission in the morning."
He turned back toward the mansion, gesturing for the guest to follow. "Come in, I shall prepare you a proper late dinner." He leaned over to pick up a large, smooth pebble; and tossed it over his shoulder into the fountain without looking. It landed perfectly to neatly join its fellows in the fountain, and also splashed a decent wave out and over the small fire; extinguishing it with a loud sizzling. "You may bring your camp belongings in with you if you wish." Expecting the guest to follow, he started toward the mansion's front doors.

He smiles and rises to his feet, bowing lowly to the man before him. "Truly your generosity is appreciated, but I don't wish to impose upon you or cause any trouble." he says, smiling still. "Truly I had no idea this home was occupied, I had thought it had fared better than the rest in the wake of the fighting here, and it looked the most sheltered for a nights rest. Really, I do apologize." he says, bowing again in apology to Sebastian. Truly he felt rude for imposing himself on the residents and owners of the mansion and to have caused a fuss. He quickly packs up his gear, stowing it in his pack before lifting it to his shoulder as he sets off after the man, moving quickly to catch up with him, falling into step slightly behind and to his right, the easiest way to show that he meant no harm, nor had any intention of attacking. If he wanted to, he'd have to drop his gear to free his right hand, and turn to bring his blade to bear on the butler. Where he came from, it was the closest he could come aside from openly stating that he had no intention of fighting.
"Really, you don't need to go to any trouble on my account sir." he says, smiling politely. "Um, I don't know who Sir Integra is, but I assure you I don't want to cause any problems." he says hesitantly. Truthfully told, he'd be doing a lot of bowing and apologizing for imposing on them, trying to make himself as little noticed as possible. He couldn't help but feel the need to apologize repeatedly. He felt terrible for inviting himself onto the grounds and having been rude enough to begin camping out. "And you have my thanks for your hospitality, truly I feel that I don't deserve it." he says, smiling apologetically. He felt that he should at least stay long enough to apologize in person to the owner of the home at the very least. "If we do not encounter them tonight, might it be possible to meet Sir Integra tomorrow? I'd very much like to apologize and explain myself in person." he says, wondering how busy the owner of the home was.

"It is not imposing, and it is no trouble." The butler said in a decisive tone. He'd heard that sort of argument before; and he wasn't going to stand by and allow a guest to insist on not being a problem. For him, nothing was too much trouble when hospitality was concerned. And as Integra had taken it upon herself to shelter refugees, he saw no reason that she would be against this guy staying for one night; at least, as long as he was watched. When he reached the majestic double front doors; he pulled one of them open and held it until the guest was through. He closed the door behind them, and resumed leading the unexpected visitor toward the kitchen. Had he not been an intruder; the butler would have offered to take the man's coat, or the camping supplies;, and store them in a guest bedroom for him. But right now, he had no intention of leaving this visitor unattended; even if it was only a few seconds.
"Everyone polite visitor deserves a hospitable home to stay in." He said softly, leading the man into the grand dining room and pulling a chair out for him. "As for meeting the master, it depends on if she conveniently passes you tomorrow or not. She has much to do every day, but you may be able to get a few moments of her time. Now, if you would be so kind as to excuse me for a moment, I shall go prepare you some food." Sebastian bowed again, and retreated into the kitchen; leaving the door open so that he could hear everything going on in the dining room; as well as glance in on occasion. He spent under five minutes in the kitchen; gathering certain ingredients and mixing them together; before heating them up on the stove. He preferred to prepare gourmet meals, but right now; he didn't have the option of wasting half an hour making such a meal for a single guest. When he returned to the dining room; he was carrying a platter with a covered bowl upon it, a plate of perfectly toasted bread buns, and a pitcher along with a single cup. "Here I have curry with coconut milk, along with a mild taste of Yogurt. Also, I do hope Chamomile tea would be alright with you." He set the covered bowl before the guest, removing the top and placing the bread and cup of tea down as well. He laid a set of finely crafted silverware upon the white tablecloth, as well as a cloth napkin with the Hellsing coat of arms embroidered in the bottom right corner.

He smiles apologetically as he follows the butler into the mansion, his eyes wandering over it all, taking it all in. It was much more lavish and luxurious than anything he'd been in before, that was for certain. And all very unique. He was used to mostly oriental style buildings, such as the hotel he'd run back on his world. This was all new to him, and rather enjoyable. It was strange seeing such hospitality towards a stranger that they knew nothing of, and he felt a little overwhelmed. Where he'd come from, there was always war and suspicion and strangers were turned aside or attacked in fear. It was strange then, seeing a place that had been all but destroyed welcoming a stranger into their home and accommodating them with ease.
As the butler returned and set food out for him, he stared in a slight amount of amazement. "Oh! Thank you, truly, but you shouldn't have gone to such trouble." he says smiling in thanks. He waits until the man had finished laying everything out, before taking a hesitant bite of what he'd called "curry." "Mm, this is delicious!" he says, trying to remember the last time he'd had a meal of something other than rice and weak tea. It had been years at least, and so he thoroughly enjoyed the meal, and couldn't begin to think of how to thank the man properly. He lifts the cup of tea, holding one hand beneath it, wrapping his other around it as he sips slowly at it. "Mm, thank you truly. It's been years since I've had a meal that good!" he says, smiling brightly at the man. "And the tea is especially good! I've had nothing but recycled green tea for quite awhile." he says with a laugh, smiling brightly at her. "Oh, my name is Kenshin, Kenshin Himura. Might I ask yours?" he says, smiling at the man. "I'd like to know who I have to thank for this hospitality. And I'll be glad to repay you in any way I can." he says, smiling brightly.

Sebastian waited near the table as the visitor started to eat, and bowed his head slightly in response to the thanks. "I'm glad you like it." He said softly, straightening up again as the corners of his mouth twitched. "It was no trouble, I assure you. As for recycled green tea..." He made a face at that. It was an unattractive drink. "I don't see how you manged to consume such tea. Before you are sent on your way again, I'll give you a box with teabags of your choice. It just won't do if you have to drink that weak tea again." The excitable man proceeded to introduce himself then, and Sebastian bowed again. "It's an honor to meet you, Kenshin Sir. I am Sebastian, the butler for this estate. As for repayment... It won't be necessary; though your kind gesture is appreciated. It is the way of the Hellsing Manor to provide hospitality to travelers such as yourself."
He cast a glance down at Kenshin's unfinished food. "Whenever you are done, I shall escort you to one of our spare rooms. It is rather late, and I'm sure you need your rest if you wish for any chance to meet Sir Integra. She is an early riser." He cast a few thoughts about his head, trying to decide which of the many bedrooms to take him to. They were all prepared and guest-ready; he took it upon himself to keep those rooms clean and worthy to be used, since he had so much free time here. Finally, he settled on a room on the west wing of the second floor. It would provide the guest with a nice view of the Hellsing grounds; rather than the apocalyptic zone the mansion resided in.

He nods, finishing the rest of the food slowly. He decided to take his time and enjoy the meal, rather than just try and satiate his hunger. Before long it was gone, and he was sitting in place, sipping his tea slowly, exhaling softly in contentment, smiling brightly. "Thank you, that'd be much appreciated. It's been years since I've had fresh tea or anything other than a bowl of rice." he says, smiling sheepishly. "And truly the honor is all mine Sebastian. There aren't many who would show such hospitality, even when they were facing the best of times. And please, just Kenshin, no sir is needed." he says, smiling sheepishly again as he bows his head.
"And I'll be glad to clean up after myself, it seems the least I can do." he says, smiling brightly. Truly he didn't really know how to act with someone insisting on doing everything. He wasn't quite used to it. "And rising early won't be an issue, I'm an early riser. There's always too much to do to spend it laying in bed." he says with a light laugh. He smiles brightly at Sebastian, hesitating for a moment. "Um, I don't mean to be rude, and please forgive me if I am, but are you truly a demon? I mean no offense, truly! I just didn't know that demons acted as butlers for people." he says, rubbing the back of his head as he smiled nervously. He hoped he wasn't being insulting to the man that had shown him such kindness, but his curiosity was getting the better of him.

"Very well, Keshin." He said, nodding slightly. He waited on standby until the plate was cleared, it didn't take long considering how much he'd provided. He was once a again getting a sense of pity for Keshin; he seemed to have been deprived much during his travels. When he mentioned cleaning up after himself, the demon shook his head with a pleasant smile showing upon his features again. "I'm afraid I can't allow that. You are a guest, and it is my duty as a butler. Thank you for the offer, however." He bent over the table and picked up the plates, empty cup, and pitcher; balancing them on his silver platter with the ease of long practice.
Then Keshin asked his next question, and Sebastian glanced sideways at him; now bemused. "A demon? What makes you think that is what I am?" He'd already let slip to Tyrion the information about his contract with Integra, and that mistake had been proceeded by talk of demon nature. This time, he had no plans on making that same error; so acting as if he wasn't a demon was the best way to go. However, if the visitor already knew he was a demon, rather than suspected it; then he would simply answer questions carefully; if he answered them at all.

He smiles brightly for a moment, "Well, it is rather obvious I should think. But, maybe it's just me. You don't feel like a normal person, if you'll forgive me. Somehow...different. And after years of fighting every dark thing that had assaulted people, I've encountered more than a few demons before. You have the same feel of them. It's no issue if you are, I assure you!" he says hurriedly, meaning no harm what so ever, hoping not to accidentally anger his host. "You see, I'm really a pacifist, I don't much like fighting. I was just curious, I'm sorry." he says, bowing his head in apology.
"I'm sorry, I get too curious for my own good sometimes and I can't help it." he says, bowing again. He felt terrible for annoying the man who had been so hospitable, and he cursed his nosy nature. "I'm really sorry, I meant no offense. I just thought it was odd that a demon would be a butler. I'm really sorry." he says, unable to stop apologizing. He hoped that he wouldn't take offense to what he'd asked, and wished now that he hadn't.
