The suns up above were beginning to set on yet another long day in Genesis and night befall the Empire of Jherrazad as in the now cold sands of the black desert were the ruffling of soldiers feet. Soldiers unphased by the cold winds that blew through their bodies. For there was no temperature low enough, or high enough, to falter them. These were the angels that once followed Lord Yahweh into battle before falling from grace and into the Netherrealm. Led by Queen Ranko.
The Crimson Devil stopped, and the army followed suit behind her as she looked out to the horizon. Despite everything Jherrazad appeared to be peaceful. That would soon change as the only warning of their attack this late at night would come from the cries of battle as Ranko charged into the city with Kasul raised in her right hand and the army of angels raised their blades behind her and began slaughtering the Jherrazad guards that came for them as they entered.

A dimensional rift opened up in Jherrazad West Division and the Shirai Ryu, led by Scorpion, passed on through with a literal hellfire burning in their eyes as they attacked the guards and any civilians still out at night positioned to the West of the city. Forcing them back to the entrance of the castle as none of the people wanted to die on this night. A spear shot through the night's sky and pulled one unfortunate man to him only to be set ablaze by the fire from his mouth when his masked was taken off. It was the end. |

It was the end indeed - for the majority of Ranko's horde.
A huge swath of Shirai Ryu off to Scorpion's left was blown away in a great arc of deep blue energy that seethed with immense power, shredding armour and immolating flesh. Through the plume charged Demetrios, a blur of blue flame, and set upon the ninja. He cut his way up to the castle gates, and each warrior who swung a blade in his direction had it blocked, parried or simply bashed aside by the Ajerian's weapon before he carved them to pieces with a swift counterattack.
His momentum not stopped - barely challenged, even - he continued up to the castle gates to make his stand and a counter-push from there.

The alarm in the castle went off as soon as the first wave of enemy soldiers hit. Utena alongside several other people who were best suited as guards instead of being in the front lines immediately headed for the castle gate. Their job was to keep the enemy from breaking through and allow any of the runaway civilians into the castle that they can. With her Rapier in its sheath Utena joined the others on the inside of the gate and stayed by it. Ready for the inevitable attempt by the enemy to break into the castle.

As the sound of battle raged and the armies of the Netherrealm flooded the Empire of Jherrazad with their defenses starting to take shape, another dimensional rift would open up.
Right inside the castle!
Sorcerers, elementalists came out of a rift right behind Utena and the guards position. Hurling fire at them engulfing one guard in flames and another being frozen in a block of ice before the Sorcerer literally smashed him apart with his fist. Closer to the refugees another rift opened and the Sorcerers to come out would force them right into an ambush where they were ripe for the picking. More rifts opened throughout the castles by all the entrances and sealed them up, trapping the people inside. No one got in or out. As the people inside the castle became trapped there was still no sign of Quan Chi.
Meanwhile among the guards battling against the Fallen Angels of Yahweh was Lord Yahweh himself in his Sir Jeho form but they did not recognize him. With his blade raised and an army of Aircano soldiers by his side, he joined the Jherrazad guards in the fighting.
"Before Judas betrayed the Son, there were you. Before Cain killed Abel, there were you. It is time to pay for your sins. Bow to your Lord!"
He swung his sword forward and began pushing against the angels in his path.

In Jherrazad East Division, from the darkness, came an army of shadows, the Lin Kuei led by Noob Saibot. They immediately went on the attack as soon as they arrived forcing the people in that part of Jherrazad to the castle entrance which has been sealed off thanks to the intervention by the Sorcerers now inside the castle. |

A flash of white light shinned behind Sir Jeho and blinded the in-coming fallen angels as the High Priestess of Aircano Miracle joined the battle by the side of her god and her men. Staff in one hand to heal and a sword in another to fight. Crossing blades with one of many angels being led by the Crimson Devil.

((I'll be playing both Fukari and Solomon on this account this time around for convenience sake.))
The Blind Assassin sat down in the middle of her cell in the dungeons. Legs folded and in deep meditation when the familiar cry of battle errupted outside the castle walls. Fukari lifted up her head from the ground as she heard the fabrics of this very world being ripped into two as Sorcerers entered the dungeons killing the guards and opening the cells to kill the prisoners to recruit them for the Netherrealm.
Fukari had no plans on being recruited.
When the Sorcerers entered her cell she burst forward, tripping the first man off his feet and jumping up through the air wrapping her legs around the neck of the second. She spun her body around and flipped the man over into the others flooding into the cell as she rolled out. Evading magical projectiles the Blind Assassin ran down the corridor outside her cell and took to the air again, kicking one guy in the face and then spinnign around mid-flight to kick the other one away before landing by her weapons. Picking them up she made her way out of the dungeons no longer content with being a prisoner.
"And boom go the dynamite."
Not far behind the Aircano forces were their General Sir Solomon who charged towards the fallen angels by Sir Jeho and Miracle's side crying out, "AAAAAAHHHHHH!" as his blade came into contact with one of the angels. Pulling away after the block and blocking the strikes from the fallen angel as they did battle. Aircano and Jherrazad, fighting side by side for the first time in history.

The Empress was already outside of the gate as the demon army attacked, dressed in full jet black armor with a blue cape on her back and Kasul gripped tightly along in her right hand. The Black Knight Kaso and Alexander on the left and right of her with their armies at the ready. Kaso charged into the West Division to intercept the Shirai Ryu and Alexander to intercept the Lin Kuei in Jherrazad East Division. Several guards stayed around Chloe's position and when Demetrios cut his way to the gate Chloe left it in his care as she charged towards the Fallen Angels and the source of the army's power. The Crimson Devil Ranko.
She had bested Ranko before and she would do it again. Then Chloe would have the entire Netherrealm army on her side on top of everything else she had. Then both the under and upper-world would fear her power. And to add insult on top of injury she was going to cut down Ranko with her own blade. The Kasul. As her guards joined the fighting with the Aircano soldiers Chloe cut the distance between herself and the Crimson Devil and aimed the Kasul blade directly for her heart. "AAAAAAHHHHHH!"
Back inside the castle Sailor V charged the sorcerers forcing the Moon Valley refugees into an ambush with her sword raised and brought it crashing down against their staffs. Giving the refugees time to get away with their lives as she fought but there was nothing she could do about the dimensional rift that was still opened in the hallway. "Superwoman? Anybody? I need help here!"

Aminee joined Utena by the gate just in time for the demons to attack. "Look out!" said Aminee as she pushed Utena out of the way of an in-coming fireball and aimed her 9mm towards one of the sorcerers and fired off several shots into the demon's head.

Superwoman would answer the Senshi's call and appeared by Sailor V's side. Raising up a hand against the demons and blasting them back through the dimensional rift they came in through and sealing it up before rounding up the refugees with the Senshi of Justice. "Follow me. We need to get these people to safety." Kara refused to lose the family, the friends from Moon Valley after fighting so hard to make sure they got out the first time. She refused to lose another city to these bastards.

Another light would shine from the rear, flanking the fallen angels and Ranko was the Supreme General of the Order of the Sword: the Holy Knights. A title she once held proudly now nothing but distaste came with that name but it wouldn't prevent her from doing her duty. The Order of the Sword may have been tainted but she, at the very least believed, that she remained pure. An explosion erupted, kicking up dust and debris masking Kyrie's position as she began picking off soldiers one by one with her staff, making her way to behind the leader Ranko while Chloe attacked the front.

Another day, another battle, another war and like always the Holy City of Aircano and its allies couldn't afford to lose. Once again she was in the thick of it with her weapon raised against the enemy. Staying close by the High Priestess' side to ensure no harm came to her. Any that dared attempt to take the child's life would meet with Jehanne's blade in the same instance. She knew very little about this army. But in the end it didn't matter. At the end of the day they were the only things standing between them and damnation.

The man called Jonathan Blaze slowly curled his fingers through the dirt, regaining his senses all at once. He jerked in a sudden spike of pain -- his skull felt like it was on fire. The Ghost Rider was agitated beyond almost anything he had felt before. Pushing himself up to his knees, he took a slow look around, and saw nothing, but the pain in his skull seemed to rise to an unbearable point in one specific direction. He was no idiot, he knew what it meant: the Ghost Rider had sensed something he had to contend with.
And who was he to argue with the Ghost Rider?
With a sigh of resignation, he slowly hauled himself to his feet and then, in a swirling burst of Hellfire, the human Johnny Blaze was gone, replaced with the skeletal figure of the Spirit of Vengeance. An almost dismissive wave of one hand and his Hellcycle literally exploded into being beside him. And almost as soon as it had appeared, the Ghost Rider was on it and with one monstrously loud rev of its unseen engine, it reared back up on one wheel and took off with all of its impossible speed.
Within mere seconds the source of what he had sensed came into sight: the beginnings of what seemed some type of war...or invasion. He could sense both evil, justice, and innocence...all pulled here into one location. The danger posed to those innocents stoked the fire that already raged in his heart to all-new heights, and with a horrid screeching roar, the mystical chain he wielded exploded into life in his right hand, flaring out to several meters before coiling in his fist like a whip, glowing red-hot in the air.
A single, sweeping lash of the chain and he tore several chunks from the earth, forming a rough ramp. A quick rev of the Hellcycle, and up it he went, sailing up and through the air. And at the apex of his leap he surged from the cycle, leaving it behind to dissipate in a flash of Hellfire, and he came screaming down into the mass of the beings he identified as fallen angels, impacting like a demonic meteor and triggering an explosion of Hellfire which scorched earth, flesh and soul alike, blowing away everything in his immediate landing vicinity.
The chain coiled in his fist flashed like a whip of pure fire as he lashed it once, his free left hand clenching into a fist. The Ghost Rider would leave none alive.

It wouldn't be long until the Aircano party and Jherrazad guards found themselves surrounded by a never ending swarm of Fallen Angels that pushed them back towards the gates of the castle, Ghost Rider included. The numbers game quickly coming into play against the defense as more rifts opened up around them and more Fallen Angels came pouring out to add to the already overwhelming numbers on Ranko's side. But as they pushed them back they made no attempt to halt the advance of the Empress. Allowing Chloe to reach their Queen and just as the tip of Kasul came screeching for the heart of the Crimson Devil.
It stopped.
The blade's own momentum redirected and forced Chloe to a halt as the blade would go no further to the path of its one true Mistress. Ranko. The Crimson Devil looked towards the vampiress dully and parted her lips to make room for one word.
“Pathetic.”
In a flash of crimson light Chloe's arms would be cut off, blood pouring out of the wounds and onto the battlefield as the Empress' Kasul went flying into the left hand of Ranko as now the Queen of the Netherrealm wielded twice the power she already had prior to this encounter before delivering a swift kick to the vampire's chest knocking her to the ground.
“Did you really think you could defeat me using a weapon I've perfected? Or a people whose loyalty I've earned?”
Just then the Jherrazad guards who fought alongside Aircano turned on them, joining the Fallen Angels in pushing the Aircano force back to the gate. Meanwhile Kaso, Alexander and their units joined the Shirai Ryu and Lin Kuei respectively in assisting the domination of those divisions and forcing survivors back to the sealed castle gates where they would be trapped and surrounded by an endless sea of soldiers that would cut them down on sight and adapt accordingly. The guards inside the castle also turned on the people inside helping the Sorcerers' invasion as all of Jherrazad turned their backs on the defense team, civilians coming out with swords and shields to help fight with who they considered to be the true Empress of Jherrazad. The Crimson Devil Ranko.
That was when the blinding light from behind came and Ranko responded by spinning around on the balls of her feet and swinging both Kasuls towards her flesh aiming to cut Kyrie in two. |
