There is a small part of the human (and potentially humanoid brain, as they are modeled after a human's brain) which was originally made and designed by The First Civilization when they created the humans. This part was to serve as nothing more than a way to control humans through the mind control The Apple is capable of. Those of mixed genes strong enough left over of The First Civilization and humans can potentially withstand the mental control The Apple can exert, but hardly physical.

Shroud of Eden:The Shroud of Eden was a linen cloth known to be a mystical object of restoration and healing. The Shroud was described as a white cloth stained with blood, which was usually kept in a simple wooden box. The shape of a seemingly tortured man was also burned onto its surface, positioned with arms to his sides and palms forward.
Ankh of Eden: The Ankh was a Piece of Eden capable of healing the sick and temporarily resurrecting the dead. The Ankh acts as a recording device—recording the mannerisms of a person and being able to return those mannerisms to a corpse.

During the uprising of the First Civilization's workforce, and the subsequent Human-First Civilization War, Minerva was counted among those who avoided the battle, in order to find a means of preventing the destruction of both races.
After having discovered the impending solar flares, Minerva assisted Jupiter and Juno in building several Temples underground to research solutions. The three were also given the responsibility of managing the Grand Temple, the central hub where all information from the Temples was gathered.
Though the triad tested six methods with increasing success, the catastrophe struck before any could be implemented. The disaster burned the Earth for weeks, and wiped out nearly all members of humanity and the First Civilization.
Minerva lived on alongside the survivors, and like many other members of her kind, was upheld by humanity as a goddess. She was given many names, including Merva and Mera, and eventually thought to have died, with the name Minerva. However, as a resort to potentially assist humanity further along in their struggle, she sealed herself within a piece of Eden to lie in wait.
