Picnic (ToriJ)

[Alex]

It was a nice sunny day in Utopia, the same as it always was during the day. Peaceful. Like a tiny little slice of heaven. She found a spot with a perfect view of the lake and underneath a tree to provide shade from the sun. Setting up a rag for her and Edie to sit on as she set down the picnic basket next, taking out the food as she waited for the Demon Assassin to show up.

[Ayen]

Edie had just came back from a battle in Kari where she and a Utopian force assisted the resistance there in pushing back the Empire of Jherrazad from claiming both the city, and the Downward Spiral when Luca told her that Eva was waiting for her by the lake. A smile graced the Demon Assassin's features when she approached the blond and crotch down to take a look at the picnic she prepared for her.

“Now what do we have here?”

[Alex]

Eva smiled up at Edie as she approached the picnic and crotch down beside her.

"I thought it would be nice for us to have a little picnic."

She opened the basket and took out a sandwich each for the two of them handing one towards Edie while placing hers down on her plate on the blanket.

"How was work?"

[Ayen]

"I thought it would be nice for us to have a little picnic."

“Not the first thing to come to mind but it works.”

Edie took the sandwich Eva had made for her and took a bite out of it, chewing and savoring the taste before swallowing it down her throat and answering Eva's question.

"How was work?"

“Same old, same old. Came onto the scene, kicked some people asses who were supposed to be a legitimate threat then chatted with the locals. What about you? Luca's been keeping you busy?”

[Alex]

“Not the first thing to come to mind but it works.”

Eva brought a hand to her lips and chuckled lightly as she listened to Edie explain her day. Somewhat taken back by how casual she reacted to everything. As if what she had just experienced was meant to be taken lightly. Eva wasn't sure if her attitude towards it was a good thing or not. Sparda was always quiet about it himself.

"All I've done is talk with the people here and enjoy the sights. So no, she hasn't been keeping me busy."

[Ayen]

“Good.”

Edie took another bite out of her sandwich and then placed it down on the blanket, scooting over to Eva's side and sitting down next to her before leaning in close pecking her lightly on the lips with a smile on her face.

“Only person allowed to work you hard around here is me.”

[Alex]

Eva smiled but a look of disappointment was clearly readable on her face as she looked at Edie after the peck.

"A peck. Is that all I get?"

She spoke teasingly in an attempt to get more of a kiss out of Edie.

"Oh? And what are you going to make me do?"

[Ayen]

"A peck. Is that all I get?"

Edie smiled before leaning in for another kiss.

“Well, I guess you have earned a little something extra.”

Edie's gloved hands cupped Eva's cheeks as she closed the air between their lips again and kissed her bride more passionately this time around. Feeling her own heart pulse quicken in excitement at the taste of her lips, having dreamed of this moment since first coming into consciousness. The literal woman of her dreams was now sat out in front of her and Edie was never going to let her go. Never.

"Oh? And what are you going to make me do?"

“Nothing you won't be jumping at the chance to do.”

Eva looked longingly into Edie's eyes as her hands touched her cheeks gently. Their lips meeting and her bones shivering as the pleasurable sensation shot down and spread throughout her body. Her desire for the Demon Assassin growing as her arms shot around Edie and she returned the kiss panting by the time Edie broke the kiss and moving back to regain her composure.

"That was... much better."

[Ayen]

"That was... much better."

“I'd say.”

Edie kept her left hand, her human hand, caressing the cheek of her wife as she leaned back and sat down straight continuing to look into her eyes. The setting, the cool air and serene atmosphere. It was like a dream. A dream that Edie never wanted to wake up from.

“I can't tell you how hard it's been. To know you and not know you. To be in love with what was only a dream for so long. It still feels like only a dream.”

[Alex]

"It's not a dream."

Eva rested a hand on the back of Edie's glove and traced her fingers across it where it was along her cheek.

"And you'll have all the time in the world to get to know me."

[Ayen]

"It's not a dream. And you'll have all the time in the world to get to know me."

Edie felt a tingle at the back of her hand where Eva's finger trailed along it. Keeping one hand on Eva's cheek she moved the other one up to brush over and through her hair, running it down the back of her bun before leaning down and brushing her lips across Eva's neck. Right now Edie just wanted to savor her warmth.

"Edie..."

Eva moaned out the Demon Assassin's name, trembling at her touch while her eyes looked straight up at the clear blue sky up above. This was paradise in every sense of the word. Her eyes coming back down from the sky she placed her hands on Edie's arms in order to pull her away so she could look at her.

"The food is going to get cold."

[Ayen]

"Edie... The food is going to get cold."

“Forget the food.”

Edie laid Eva down, back flat against the picnic blanket. Her hand slowly brushing up Eva's arm and taking a hold of her hand rubbing the palm as she kissed her. The cool breeze blowing through both of their bodies, the weight the only thing keeping the blanket held down as the wind picked up. The Demon Assassin's body went numb as she deepened the kiss on Eva. She was the only thing she saw, the only thing she heard and right now the only thing she cared about as the world around them ceased to be.
