Alyssa retreated into the side streets keeping off the main road where the majority of soldiers were looking for them. With the Lancer prototype strapped around her right shoulder she shoved Cris forward and began the long, dull process of bitching her out for the fiftieth time. "What the fuck is wrong with you? Huh? We were doing just fine in there until you lost control and shot one of the guards. Like we didn't have enough problems finding the others beforehand. And what was wish the way you swoosh over that man in there? So the people who've stuck with us can go to hell but some stranger saves your worthless hide and you think we should care about him? Why? Because you thought he was cute? So you can to fuck him, was that it? Answer me!"

[Ayen]

"Sure looked that way to me." Alyssa walked past Cris and grabbed her wrist with her spare hand, pulling her forward in an aggressive manner to let her know they were to resume moving before letting her go. "Come on." Alyssa took off the mask of the soldier's uniform and tossed it. "We need to find a place to change then come up with a plan to save the others. We're not going to be able to use the same idea twice."

[Ayen]

“It isn't! Why do you always do this? All you ever do is tear me down. Why did you even bother to rescue me at all if I'm such a screw up?”

Alyssa found a thrift store breaking into it and finding a new pair of clothes for them to change out of. Going into the dressing room available Alyssa changed into more discrete civilian clothing and walked back out to answer Cris' question.

"The obvious way. Go in as prisoners."

“Y-you care about me?”

Cris grew silent for a moment. Feeling terrible about the way she had behaved but before she could say anything they were robbing a thrift store. Never was a dull moment around here. Cris changed after Alyssa and looked back at her with the weapons and everything.

"The obvious way. Go in as prisoners."

“What? Then how would we get out?”

"I haven't gotten that far yet."

Alyssa answered honestly. Checking the register to see if there was any cash left behind at the store. Seeing there wasn't any Alyssa led Cris out and continued down the side street until they made it back out into the main streets now filled with people.

"But one thing's for sure. We can't leave the others there to die. Perhaps we can sneak something in that can help us escape. Or cause a fight once inside the cell that forces a guard to enter and then attack him."

Alyssa bumped into a man as she walked down the street with Cris.

"Watch it!"

"Sorry."

But she wasn't sorry. Alyssa held out her wallet while walking away and counting the Isafarian dollars found inside as she spotted a tavern and went inside to order them something to eat and get a room to rest for a while. She was tired of sleeping on the street and getting whatever leftover meal they could find.

[Ayen]

"Can't afford to wait."

“Can't afford not to.”

Cris followed Alyssa into the tavern and when they started looking over the menu there was only one thing on Cris' mind that she wanted to eat. Something she tend to eat often whenever she was at an eating place and if it weren't for all the running she did she would have became a blimp a long time ago.

“I'll take the bacon cheese burger and side order of fries please. Oh and ketchup. Don't forget the ketchup.”

Cheeseburgers.

"Do you ever eat anything else?"

Asked Alyssa while shaking her head at Cris' order. She grabbed her food and then took it up to their room on the floor above. Setting them out on the table across from the bed and then pulling up a chair. Rubbing her hands together and she dug into her meal.

"Oh, god, it's so good to have a real meal for once."

[Ayen]

"Do you ever eat anything else?"

“Nope!”

Suddenly Cris took Alyssa's tray and threw it in her face as hot sauce got all over Alyssa's eyes burning her severely while Cris took the cheeseburger, the fries, the Coke and walked up to the room by herself.

“Dumb bitch.”
