Special Abilities: Nightmare is able to summon dark orbs of darkness to attack his opponents as well as dark energy lighting to shock his enemy into submission. Using his sword he can also unleash dark energy shockwaves to repel any enemies that get too close to him

History: Nightmare was born from the destructive nature of Seigfried who had been possessed by Soul Edge in his quest for power, therefore in a sense Nightmare is Seigfried’s alter ego and is therefore his constant rival. Once Seigfried took hold of Soul Calibur, the holy sword, Soul Edge used the souls of all those that Seigfried had killed and created Nightmare.
From then on Nightmare began a campaign of destruction and death, notably to destroy any remnants of Soul Calibur as Soul Edge was the only one capable of destroying the holy sword. The pure darkness within the sword drove it to have no intelligence other then power and it was considered a monster of Europe as it decimated anything, and anyone, that it came across. Time and time again it had been defeated by other pure hearted warriors only to return again due to the darkness in men, essentially as long as there is darkness in the world then Nightmare shall always remain here.
Years later, after it was destroyed yet again and the cursed sword scattered throughout the globe, cultists resurrected the sword and it managed to regain consciousness and then went on to recreate Nightmare before beginning it’s wave of chaos once more. But before any of that could happen a portal appeared above him and pulled the monster into it before placing him in this world, in an unknown world but still vulnerable, Nightmare knew that this would be the perfect place to cause chaos once more.
