All was quiet on the evening in Kari. It was cold, though no breeze blew through; it was still bright from light that had been trapped in the crystals that made the town. The stars above seemed pale in comparison to the buildings, against one of which lay a body that did not breathe. Pure, clean white trench coat, with the same colorless pants and even hair, the young man did not stir; but his orange eyes bright reflecting light around him. Pale, off colored skin was shown on the young persons face and hands; though these were the only thing to show that he had skin, and not scales or feathers. The eyes were cold, however, and lifeless the limbs seemed more heavy and solid than normal muscles and sinew; the skin feeling strange and much more pliable. More strange was the high pitched beeping that came from inside the mouth, one much like a computer. Even the weapons on is back seemed unreal, though they were also seemingly stuck fast in thier sheathes; no amount of force being able to remove them should someone try.
This lifeless, inhuman look-a-like was Project 487; an artificial intelligence created to preserve humanity in a dying realm, a world that was destroyed by itself. Project 487 lay dormant since falling through a rift created when the world he had 'grown up' in had been obliterated by the tearing of dimensions. He lay waiting for someone to approach him; something to awaken him. In his cold hands, he had in his hand a small sheet of paper. On it, instructions. To whomever should find this note, and it's bearer, I would beg of you to heed these words, and re-awaken 'Knight'. First you must wonder why he is, where he hails, and how it is so, but questions are for him to answer. To activate Project 487, one must quite simply rest a hand on his shoulder, and ask him to wake up; just like a real human, he should wake. If not, touch his left eye twice, followed by his nose then his mouth. This should produce a keyboard. Enter "487 OPERATE" and Knight will re-awaken, though doing it this way will wipe his main memory, leaving only linguistic and motor skills functioning. Please; he is my greatest work, so let him live as a young human is to live. Thank you,
-Anonymous, for reasons personal.
It would not take long before someone did indeed stumble upon that shell of metal and artificial flesh. The light bounced off this boy's white clothing, as the stranger approached and seemed to notice the young man. Would Knight be awakened?

[Dia] [Gravity Null Generator- Active -> Inactive] [Radar Disruption Field- Active] [Chameleon Coat- Invisible -> Inactive] Voyage 1969One wouldn't be able to notice the being flying against the backdrop of either the sky nor the city; it did not want to be seen in it's journey, but when the figure noticed a white object near his path and soon enough scan it to find out it was a machine, it landed nearby and deactivated it's camouflage. He walked up closer, cautiously, wary for any trap or ambush for any unsuspecting person. The man wore a full black outfit and the only skin that was shown was his face and a small bit of his shoulders. The one part of him that wasn't black clothing was his hair, which, much like the machine in front of him, was stark white. Dia walked closer to the machine, it looked like a young man, and noticed the small note held in it's hand. He slowly brought his hand up and took the note to read it. After reading all the way, a pang of sympathy struck Dia. The final line gave thought to the notion that this machine could very well be similar to him. He dropped the note and held his hand on the machine- the boy's shoulder. He wouldn't refer to him as a machine. "Wake up, Knight." ...

Knights main systems remained silent; however, the eyes suddenly seemed alive. A hand, pale as snow, came up and gripped one of the katanas on his back. After a slight, strange groan of drowsiness from lips that barely moved, Project 487 stood up, unaware at this time of what was around him. With a small flash of green, suddenly, the andriod jumped back in shock: his scanners detecting that he was not only awake, but had company. Eyeing this man in black, he offered a friendly, though somewhat confused grin, his white clothes vastly opposite to the strangers. After dusting himself off and stretching his limbs (though he knew this didn't actually aid his mechanics in any way) he tested his fingers, and then touched his own face. Suddenly, he began frantically patting himself down. "Master's note!" he exclaimed, noticing it on the ground. Quickly racing over and bending down to grasp it, the piece of paper suddenly burst into flame. "Secondary mission complete. Commencing main objective." he stated, grinning. "Thank you for your assistance. Might I ask your name, species, and any criminal or military associations you currently and previously had." the android stated, though his lips did not move, and so the words came out more as a muffle of sounds. Suddenly realising his error, he quickly set about repairing his facial features. After a quick test of his eyelids, a smile, a frown and testing the 'tears' and his ability to cry, he drew one of his twin katanas. Checking the blade, he smiled and re-sheathed it; a small click heard as a magnetic lock fixed into place. "My apologies.... It has been seem some time since I was last operating voluntarily." the youthful droid explained, his voice changing from a metallic, static sound to a more human tonality. His orange eyes were frightfully intense, though the young one now closed them as he bowed. "My name is Project 487, though some call me Knight. What is your name?" he asked, his voice rather childish and seemed a little too high for his age. He quickly changed this pitch issue, humming and singing until it seemed to fit his apparent age. "Sorry, I haven't run a complete diagnostic yet." he stated, again apologising. His flicked his silver hair out of those strange eyes, and fiddled slightly, re-testing the smaller nerve nodes that covered his body underneath his artificial skin.

[Dia] [Radar Disruption Field- Active]
Dia stepped back when the boy reached for the katana, bringing his arms up in a combat stance immediately, but when the boy let go and rushed for the note that Dia had dropped, he dropped his arms.
"Thank you for your assistance. Might I ask your name, species, and any criminal or military associations you currently and previously had."
Dia frowned. He wasn't about to reveal his identity to this kid just because he asked for it, but he was hesitant to make the boy hostile. As if showing Dia's concerns, the boy drew one of his katanas all the way, but after a second or so, seemed merely to be examining it. Understandable, due to the seeming appearance that the boy had been standing there inactive for awhile.
"My apologies.... It has been seem some time since I was last operating voluntarily. My name is Project 487, though some call me Knight. What is your name? ....... Sorry, I haven't run a complete diagnostic yet."
Dia looked somewhat surprised. Perhaps he had made a mistake about the boy. Maybe they weren't similar at all. He functioned much like a normal machine would. Except the note was still in his photo memory... '... so let him live as a young human is to live..." Is that just it? A Pinocchio story? Or is there more to this kid... Project 487... The number indicated that this boy may have been the culmination of years of research, yielding what may be the boy's creator's most updated representation of a humanoid robot. In that case, maybe he and Dia were in fact similar.
He smiled at the boy, bowing back. "Call me Dia. I work for a group named Paladin, dedicated to keeping peace in it's world as well as undergoing missions that lead past the gate of worlds. I was sent to this world to aid a partner, but I can't seem to find her." He held out his hand, to see if the boy knew what a handshake was.

Project Knight gave a small bow and grinned, as his processors raced. The only reference to "Paladins" he knew of belonged to ancient history; yet this being couldn't be scanned. Indeed, Project Knight's sensors detected rather advanced anti-detection and stealth countermeasures; though in his 'heart' he believed this man to be a friend. "Thank you for your information. I will remember it well, Sir Paladin. Should I assist you in your search for your friend?" Knight asked, tilting his head; grey hairs falling delicately over his right eye. His lips slowly turned to a rather friendly smile, though in his head he was trying to build an algorithm to increase the power of his sensors, trying to silently screen some information from this stranger that had released him. Silent now, a slow breeze blew, and Project suddenly sighed. Feeling guilty now, he stopped the processors overclocking his scans, and bowed once more. "My apologies; I realize you must have such strong counter-detection for your reasons. I was trying to get past them, and I think I was wrong to try to do so without asking." He declared, remaining with his head hung in shame. Feeling 'fear', he quickly wondered how he would be reprimanded. -Though I bear no soul, I will not be inhuman and simply force my way with him.- Knight thought to himself, and then inwardly he smiled with joy; his first real thought without a direct order from a satellite.
Fidgeting slightly, he suddenly he thought he sensed something strange from the south, but since it vanished quickly, he dismissed it.

[Dia] [Radar Disruption Field- Active -> Inactive]
Dia chuckled at 'Sir Paladin', but waited for the boy to finish before saying anything. Suddenly, a red light went off in one of his sensors, indicating an attempt to break past his radar disruptor. Before he could say anything, the boy spoke up.
"My apologies; I realize you must have such strong counter-detection for your reasons. I was trying to get past them, and I think I was wrong to try to do so without asking."
Dia's face did not move or show any emotion, but simply shook his head. It was him... maybe he tried to scan me? Guess so... "Don't worry about that. I'd like it if you would help me find him. And call me Dia." He deactivated his radar disruptor to allow the boy to scan him. If they were going to be working together, they would have to trust each other. "If you scan me again, you'll find that I have more than a few... 'methods of protection'... primarily for carrying about my missions." Dia turned his head to the South, his long range link coming back on after his disruptor field went down. So she got the message too... "Look's like my partner is headed somewhere..."
He turned his body southward, trying to calculate, over the distance, Kaley's trajectory. "From this distance I can't get a lock on her movement angle, but it looks like she's headed northwest."

Knight indeed did scan; and shocked at the fire-power this android had. Taking a shocked step back, he felt as though his own katana's were now obsolete. Realising that this stranger named Dia may well be a much more combat adapted than Project 487, whose only advantage was speed and his rather unique weapons. Lowing his own shields, he allowed himself to also be scanned; even the design of his processor unit, unique in design. He felt he could trust this person; he felt like they were the same. Now reading into Dia's own scans, and bringing the statistics on the trajectory up in his own 'mind', he nodded, noting the angle and smiling.
"If we head north west - west as well at just under 89 miles per hour, we would intercept your friend." he predicted, grinning with pleasure. Flicking his hair out of his eyes, he glared in the precise direction. Bringing a small radar display with the info loaded, he realised that he didn't have any geographic data. "Dia, mind if I borrow your maps? I haven't got any just yet." he aske,d rather apologetic in tone. Hating to ask for something he once prided himself on, he wondered if this really was a whole new world, with new people and new customs to learn. He grew a little excited; he might even be able to study 'religion' that he'd once read on the internet from his own world.
Giving a slight squeal of excitement which he tried to contain, he scanned again realised that Dia had one more thing over the young human interface Project 487; free flight. "Oh, you can fly? I bet that's handy..." he quietly whispered as he loaded some other schematics, comparing them to his own. Feeling more and more intimidated, he didn't recognise several parts, but figured them important.

[Dia] [Gravity Null Generator- Active]
"You can run that fast?"
A simple deduction, because Knight wouldn't say anything about going 89 MPH without the ability to do so, and his latest mumble indicated that Knight could not fly. Di looked off in the direction they would need to travel to intercept her. "Sorry, I'm just as new to this place as you are. I was sent here as backup for my partner and her father. I'm guessing she's locked on his location." Dia engaged his null field and began floating, ready to take off.
"You ready?"
