It is unknown what Sayaka Saika’s early life was like other then it was likely that she joined the Saika Renegades at a young age which was under the leadership of the 2nd Magoichi. It was here that she was taught how to handle the firearms that were utilized by the Saika Renegades, a fairly new concept at the time as firearms had not yet been introduced into the country as a staple weapon, it was because of this that the Saika Renegades became a feared organisation and many lords and warlords sought their powers.
One such lord was Nobunaga Oda, who was attempting to dominate all of Japan and unite it, it was under his leadership that he initiated what would be a chain of events that would end up in the unification of Japan. However despite the 2nd Magoichi’s alligeance the group was betrayed by the Oda forces as they feared that they would be used against them in the near future and the 2nd Magoichi was killed in the process. Sayaka then decided to take on the mantle of her mentor and discarded her real name for Magoichi so that the tradition might live on.
Several years later she was recruited by Ieyasu Tokugawa who was also attempting to unite the land though under a much peaceful rule as Nobunaga had been slain by Mitushide at Hono-JI before his successor Hideoshi was killed by Ieyasu spurring his subordinate Mitsunari Ishida to go on a wild revenge spree that eventually ended up in the Battle of Sekihagara. Magoichi knew that Mitsunari would have an axe to grind with the Saika Renegades as she fought bravely against them ending in the death of Mitsunari, not wanting to open up old wounds she left Ieyasu to mourn the lost of his rival, but before she could continue on in a new path she was sucked into a portal that eventually dropped her into a new world. Without her Saika Renegades at her side it was up to her to maintain the name of Saika and make sure that their name would resound throughout this strange world.
