Name: Bola
Aliases: None given
Age: Never revealed, but he continually comments that he's "getting old" and to "give an old man a break".
Gender: Male
Species: Presumably human, with cybernetic augmentations.
Alignment: Lawful Neutral
Canon or Original: Canon
Date of Birth: Never revealed
Place of Birth: Never revealed
Physical Appearance:
Special Abilities: Based on comments made by Bola himself, his brother Klaymoor, and general rumor surrounding the pair, it is likely that Bola is -- or, perhaps more accurately, was -- quite a powerful fighter. A combination of age, contentment with his life and a penchant for holding back in battle have worn down or eclipsed his true combat abilities. Don't let that fool you, though; he remains a formiddable opponent in spite of all this, providing a great challenge to Megaman even when holding back even moreso than usual due to "fighting a kid".
He has displayed a number of interesting abilities in battle, even when greatly witholding his skills.
Weapons: Bola only wields a small handful of equipment. The large sword he wields in his right hand is unquestionably the most immediately noticable. A second would be the blade attached to his left gauntlet, though it is often seen held in his hand, especially when in battle. Shaped akin to a bladed horseshoe, it is most often hurled in groups of three at foes with frightening accuracy, though has the capacity to be wielded in melee as well. The most interesting factor of it is that he possesses a limitless supply of them, or else a regenerating or self-returning system for them.
Less noticable equipment is a multi-frequency radio within his helmet. Mostly useless thanks to his teleportation, though often used when communicating with multiple parties at once. He possesses a filtering device in his helmet and mask to keep out pesky airborne gaxes and the like.
His least-used piece of equipment is a set of five large, bladed 'wheels'. A massive hunk of crimson plates of metal woven together into a roughly cylindric shape strapped around an incredibly durable metallic core, they stand at nearly two meters measured between each flat face, with a diameter of nearly the same distance. On the 'top' of each of them is a pair of sharp blades, intertwined in a rough double helix pattern for two 'loops'. Emerging from the sides of each wheel, in even itnervals, are a number of blades, turning the wheels into massive, deadly buzzsaws when in use. When employed in battle, they often form a 'ring' to entrap or indicate an area and move with alarming swiftness to close in and block off attemtps to leave this designated area of battle. Their great durability even when motionless, combined with their peculiar habit of developing a powerful energy shield while in motion, has made them all but indestructible so far.
History: Bola was once a rowdy, powerful and well-renowned air-pirate, along with his brother-in-law, Klaymoor. They worked for nineteen years, growing somewhat more calm and worn over the years. Bola has, for many years, been content with his life and constantly voted for retirement. He remains working, however, at his brother's request, helping Klaymoor on his task to try and locate the Mother Lode.
Upon hearing of the four keys to the Mothe Lode, Klaymoor instructs Bola to go to Manda Island to search for the key while he searches another island. Bola reluctantly agrees, and encounters Megaman twice in the ruins. Expressing his distaste for fighting children, he, again reluctantly, does battle with him. Due to his holding back he is defeated both times and withdraws, though suffers no injuries. He appears later and amiably taunts Megaman, telling him that he has the key.
In reality, he did acquire the key long before Megaman arrived, but the Reaverbot master of the ruins took him by surprise and ate the key. Leaving the problem to Megaman, bola teleports away.
He returns later to assist Klaymoor, who suffered a crippling bout of back pain during a fight with Megaman. Insisting he could have beaten Megaman were it not for his back, Klaymoor allows himself to be taken away by his brother, who elaves Megaman with some parting advice.
The both of them are later seen working with the Bonnes and Glyde on a train designed to barge into the ruins on Calinca Island, but Bola convinces his brother to finally retire. They converse for a short time, then bid farewell to their former allies and Bola teleports the both of them away.
He remains in his well-earned retirement for a handful of noneventful months, only emerging from it at some rather interesting rumors he catches wind of by old channels. With nothing better to do with his time, he sets out to investigate, taking up his long-disused weapons as he does.
The exact events surrounding his exploration and investigation are mostly a blur to him. But the events he can piece together, when coupled with the signs of recent battle on his sword, tell him it was less than a peaceful exploration.
And with him coming to his senses in a location he doesn't recognize in the slightest, surrounded by the mangled remains of several Reaverbots and other creatures he can't place, not to mention no available contact with his brother or anyone else for that matter, there can be only one thing to be said:
"Well....there goes my retirement."

He has displayed a number of interesting abilities in battle, even when greatly witholding his skills.
- Seen to effortlessly levitate, hover, and fly, even 'walking' through thin air as if on solid ground. His control is extremely refined and precise, and he often lounges or reclines in the air as if in an armchair or semi-vertical hammock.
- Capable of teleporting over unknown distances by disappearing and reappearing in a cloud of white smoke. Often his voice can be heard a few seconds before or after he has disappeared in this fashion, though with a slight reverb and echo. As well, he is capable of taking at least one, and possibly more, people with him when he teleports.
- Capable of throwing the blades in his left gauntlet with great accuracy, and in pairs of three. In some cases these have been seen to actively track targets.
- Capable of impaling/slashing the ground with his sword and producing a powerful shockwave of blue energy.
- Seen using some form of telekinetic ability to manipulate the large bladed 'wheels' he sometimes employs in battle.
- Occasionally seen to create a swirling aura of blue streaks of energy around himself. This aura has been seen to deflect or outright nullify nearly anything thrown at it, ranging from bolts of energy, missiles, and even prolonged streams of pure energy.
- Said by many to be a master swordsman and capable battle-strategist.
- Possesses a curious ability to instantly become aware of any mention of himself. When called for by his brother, Klaymoor, he appeared within moments.
- Possibly in possession of some medical knowledge and ability.
- Highly developed agility, capable of defying gravity to limited degrees even when not making use of his levitation ability.
- Highly refined and developed reflexes, capable of performing 'bullet time' feats of dodging prjectiles and even physical blows. Capable of dodging gunfire at point-blank range, and even dodging plasma projectiles and energy bolts which rival lightspeed at ranges of several meters.
- Various cybernetics grant him undefined, but likely very great, levels of physical strength, durability, speed and stamina. He proved capable of taking a beating from Megaman Triggerm an S-Class Purifier Unit and one of the most powerful heroes of his universe, only to "pull a muscle" and retreat momentarily. He returned only a few minutes later, having "caught his second wind" and engaged in a second, even longer battle. Despite holding back greatly, he still managed to torment Megaman and prove a troublingly challenging foe, though was eventually "defeated" and retreated. He was physically strong enough to knock Megaman flying with a simple swipe of one hand and physically overpower him without apparent effort. He proved fast enough to easily keep up with his foe, even if he remained stationary at most times.
- Nigh-supernatural ability to remain calm and collected in near any situation.
- Very likely to possess more abilities and skills not displayed due to his tendancy to hold back so greatly.
