"Wake up 'Buttercup'", said Romeo as he woke Rookie up by hitting him in the side with the but of his sniper rifle.
Sleep, sleep was good.. but too by Romeo didn't think so as he hit Rookie in the side to wake him up. Rookie was already in his pod, waiting, but waiting was... tiring. Dutch arrived soon with helmet already on and shoved him on to his pod. Dutch chuckled and handed Rookie a M7S Sub-Machine gun.
"Aww he doesn't mean anything by it. Besides, now is a great time to be the strong, silent type"
Rookie simply nodded and took the weapon, locking it into place next to his seat. The hatched closed and he was moved into dropping position before dropped down to Earth below. The feeling was... like falling forever, and some ODSTs were known to fall asleep on the trip down. However something was wrong, because the com screen was all static, but then he was blinded by a bright wight light and his pod shook and rolled, throwing Rookie into a dark unconsciousness.
When he came too he found himself still in his pod, but the pod.. wasn't moving. Had he landed? If so he was far off course, but he had no idea how far. He found himself disoreinted and dizzy but he still manage to pop the door from the HEV pod and exit it.
He was... in a city... and people seemed to stare at him like they saw a ghost. Ohhhh... he was way off course.
