"I am stronger!" Chloe lunged off the bed and towards Argus. Her arms moving in a blur as she unleashed multiple slashes with Kasul aimed with the intent of weakening the hybrid and slowing him down if they landed. "I mastered the Nightmare, I drank from the blood of the devil and I'm the rightful owner of the Kasul! I surpassed you and Amoura in strength. This entire Empire is at my beck and call!"

Argus returned the oncoming blows with parries. While defending himself from the angered woman's attacks, he kept his eyes locked onto hers, never once looking away. "Strength isn't all. You may have done all of those things, but there are many things you haven't mastered that I have." Their swords continued to strike, sending sparks flying in different directions, "Having a kingdom at your beck and call doesn't add to your strength. It only serves to stroke an ego that's only inflating with each passing day. You'll become more careless."
Argus briefly locked swords with her, "If there's one thing Miracle said that I'll always remember it is this: 'He who lives by the sword, dies by the sword'. Kasul won't always be loyal to you. One day it'll abandon you for another master, or even return to Ranko. And it could be the death of you." And the flurried attacks resumed.

"Shut up!" He didn't know it yet but she would have him. One way or another, she would have him. But first she wanted to hurt him. Hurt him like he had hurt her. It was the vampiress' turn to block his strikes before lifting up her right leg and kicking the hybrid in the chest to knock him and counter-attacking with a thrust to the mid-section. "Raiza is dead!" The words were spiteful and hurled at Argus in the midst of the battle without care for emotions. "The last words you said to her shall forever be 'I hate you'!"

The kick to his chest proved to be helpful since it gave him the necessary space he needed to avoid the oncoming sword. That temporary break gave him the chance...to dissipate into a colony of bats. They screeched, flew around her, gathered to the other side of the room, and reformed Argus' body. One would have expected him to don his armor, or take up his guns, but he didn't.
"You're not all knowing, Chloe. You don't know if she's dead or alive and neither do I. It's a mystery to all," Argus replied in a cool, collective tone, "And why bring up something that I'm well aware of? It may be painful to remember, but if you are trying to egg me into losing my head in this, I'm afraid that task will require more effort on your part." Argus assumed a stance to prepare for another attack.

"I am all knowing!" Chloe spun around and swung her blade again, this time cutting through the air and making distance a hopeless endeavor as the slashes came for his torso. "I have devoured the soul of Tajna Rasha. I have the power to travel through time. To create duplicates in an endless sea of timelines granting me immortality. And most of all I'm omniscient. I know what you're going to do before you even do it!"

Argus responded in turn, resuming his task of parrying her attacks. He acted like it was nothing too terribly serious. It felt like it was just another day, another lesson to teach. "If you were all knowing, you would have said something that you knew would irritate or sadden me. With all that power, you could kill me in an instant. If you knew of all my attacks, you could have just blown past them and landed a death blow." The hybrid gave her a "you're-clearly-playing-a-bullshit-card" and finished his point with this:
"You would have seen my response to your invitation to your feelings. If you were truly like the Ghost, none of that would have affected you in this manner, because you have already lived it repeatedly in different scenarios."

Chloe's eyes softened towards the hybrid as he assumed she was bluffing on her claims. He was right though. She was nothing like the Ghost. It was absurd how one could relive the same moment and still act like it was their first time living it. It was absurd how much one could love another and until you had this power you could never truly know what it was like. And you'd be damned if you did. "I'll prove it to you."
Chloe turned Kasul on herself and before Argus would be able to do anything she ran herself through with her own sword. Kasul absorbed her own soul in a matter of seconds before a second Chloe appeared before Argus eyes. Dressed in the same clothes, holding the same scent and emotions and most of all, wielding another Kasul while the other was still on the ground. The Empress picked up the fallen Kasul and now held two Kasuls in her hands as she looked at Argus. "Still want to call bullshit?"

There was only one look in his eyes that Chloe could read clear as day: disappointment. "Replicating yourself didn't completely answer the question. But regardless, if you truly absorbed a part of Tajna, you damned yourself, Chloe. You were damned the moment you took that sword from Ranko." Argus frowned, "I pity you."
There was no point in voicing his opinion on very detail he looked down on. The girl was too far gone now to even care about the damage she had caused. All that she could see were the endless scenarios locked in time, and perhaps later on, she saw things she didn't want to see.

"I was already damned." Chloe crossed the two Kasuls together and charged them up as she looked towards Argus. "Do you know why I never went for the finishing blow?" In the next instance, Chloe uncrossed the blades and aimed them both towards him as a blinding light blocked his vision and a great power burst forth from the dual blades calling to the split personality that already existed in the hybrid's mind. "I don't want to kill you." The blinding light faded and Kasul sheathed both demon blades as she looked the hybrid in the eye. "I want to rule by you."

They say that people, no matter how good they are, always have another side to them that they seek to restrain. An alter ego, so to speak--one who is the complete opposite of what's seen. There's always the part of them that wants to give in to what claws at the inside; but who would want to let out something so awful? One could go throughout their life without acknowledging the existence of the alter, but then there are those who are aware of it. Argus was one of them. He had that side locked away.
Kasul had become the key.
When the light faded, the soft, silver hue had been replaced with blood red...and a sinister smile lined his lips. "Rule, you say?" He stroked his chin in thought and the smile broadened, "Doesn't sound like a bad idea."

The vampiress looked the alter ego over with interest. He seemed so much more free than his good counterpart. So much more eager to love. Though it wasn't eyes filled of loved that looked his body up and down as she licked her lips. Resheathing the second Kasul blade that was created she tossed it to him. "You'll need that." There was no turning back now.

Argus caught the sword tossed to him, examined it, nodded in approval, and made swiping motions before him to test it out. It was well balanced, perfect for quick attacks, but there was something missing in this. He stared at Revelation, then the replica of Kasul. Whatever idea he had, he chose to forgo it, and sheathed his original blade.
"So, what is to be done now?"

A small smirk curved the vampiress' lips as she walked over to the hybrid. Bringing her hands up to lightly caress his cheeks while looking into his crimson red eyes while her own turned red in the midst of her growing lust for the man in front of her. "We celebrate." Chloe stood up on her toes and leaned into Argus, her lips inching closer and closer to the man's until finally they found their mark and the Empress kissed her new Emperor passionately on the lips.

Argus grabbed a handful of her hair, roughly pulled her head back, and sank his elongated canines into her throat. Blood welled into his mouth, and he drank it in each drop. This was going to be a long, interesting night of "celebration", and tomorrow, the real work will begin. He'll rule with his empress, but tonight, he may just rule her.
