Grey had had almost enough of the constant whining he'd copped from Kasey since giving her a tail; and another barrage now openly launched as he used the "leash" on the rifle to drag her reluctantly behind him. He remembered hearing something about old memories, and threats against his health; something he was getting so used to it bored him to no end. Flashing his scythe out, he almost came close to cutting her neck with it at her constant noise. "You don't shut up, I'm going to amputate all your limbs, including the tail. And it will be as painful as I can make it. Such a nuisance..." Grey stated and began walking again, a crystal larger than any either had likely ever seen in the distance.
Grey headed towards it, and shook his head in exasperation as the woman who carried on behind him once again seemed to volley off a response. One would think she'd just take a hint and shut the hell up.

Kasey's eyes widen and she takes a step back at the threat, her tail wrapping itself around her waist defensively.
"Jesus, you need to chill out." She snaps, feeling the pull of the invisible leash pull her closer to her spell caster 'owner'. "Quit doing that already, I haven't even whined or fought against you in days."
She starts after him again, her head held high as she walks, more comfortable in her place as a slave now, but still proud.

Grey didn't care much for the words this woman spoke; that she spoke was enough to irritate the man. He reflected on the past adventures; first finding the girl, and taking her to make sure she would be suitable for slave work. Then wasting a small fortune in keeping her alive. Then the whole tail incident. Overall, he'd wasted quite a bit of time on one person; and hardly made enough to even break even feeding this girl. He thought she might do better if he gave her some freedom; but frankly, they hadn't had any customers in days. "You know, instead of bring people half to death, maybe you should take up being a musician or something. Your conversations with the clients as I rob them blind are hardly buying me enough time to make a living." Grey called back behind him. He emphasized in his head how useless she might just be. Barely knows how to use the gun. Can barely earn enough gold to feed herself, and worse of all..... she talks way too much. He quickened his pace, as the gates of Kari came to view.

Kasey fell silent as she follows after Grey, her eyes dark as she waits for a reply that doesnt come. She quickens her pace a bit and then grins as the pull he has on her fades and she continues swiftly.
She lets a grin come over her face as the city comes into view up ahead and the thought of sleeping in a real bed again lightens her mood. Also with how big the city is, she might be able to get away this time.
She knew Grey disliked her immensely and would eventually follow through on his frequent death threats if she didn't either kill him or escape, and given her past attempts, the latter seemed much more realistic.

Grey brought a phone to his ear quickly, and didn't seemed to dial it; however, the phone immediately seemed to call someone. After a few quick words, Grey looked back at his current captive, and seemed to express his lack of enthusiasm in his voice. Nodding a few times, he flipped the phone shut and shrugged, and called to the woman now following him.
They soon came to the gates, through which Grey merely walked confidently through; he had to silently marvel at the architecture of this city however; most of it was made of the hard crystalline material, and even looked naturally formed. "Hmph, hurry up. We need to find somewhere to rest... Oh, right. So you can't escape...." Grey smirked, and a black rune appeared on the palm of Kasey's left hand. "You 'escape' and you'll find death by blood-loss your choice. That's a rune of detonation; something my Library taught me how to draw. I find you missing, your arm comes off. Simple, right? Oh, and it doesn't come off unless I use a release rune. So forget about trying to wash it off." Grey gave a horrible laugh and pointed to a building, walking off as he did so. "We'll head there."
The building had a bed on the sign above it; but no other indication of what it was. For Grey, that was enough.
