Interception (Aircano/open)

[Chloe/Kat]

The sound of soldiers and horses' feet could be heard throughout the Black Desert of Jherrazad as the Empress dressed in a black chest plate with her arms and legs covered in armor and a cloak around her led the men and women of the Jherrazad's Empire through the desert with Kaso and Alexander by her side. Their designation being the newly reconstructed city of Kari. Kari had been in a battle over land with Jherrazad for some time and now that they claimed the Downward Spiral to be theirs it was time for action. Once they arrived Chloe would offer to recognize half of the Black Desert as theirs in exchange for full access to the tower. If they refused the Empress would have no problem cutting them all down and devouring their souls.

Chloe would come to a stop at the sight of something in the distance, her soldiers immediately followed suit, Kaso to her right and Alexander to her left. The three looked out to the small figures up ahead until they grew larger and larger and once in view they would be recognizable as none other than the Holy Knights of Aircano led by High Priestess Miracle and General Solomon. "Standby." The Empress waited to see what the Aircano army would do but she knew they weren't here to play nice.

[Miracle]

The High Priestess held her staff in her right hand, the short sword still in its sheath as she stepped forward and looked out to the Jherrazad forces that now opposed them hoping to appeal to Chloe's conscience but not expecting to succeed. There were just some miracles that couldn't be performed.

"Empress Chloe, call back your men! Kari has been given a second chance by God and it is not your place to shed blood on their soil or take the tower!"

Miracle waited for Chloe's response, her staff at the ready as she was prepared for the worst.

[Chloe/Kat]

Miracle was back to her old self giving a chance for even the demons to repent as she told them to turn back but the Empress would not. The High Priestess, if her eyes could only go that far, would have seen a dull expression on the vampiress' face at her pleads and the mention of God before saying to her army, "Kill them all." The knights of Jherrazad charged forward on foot, their swords and shields raised as they made way for a head on collision with Aircano's forces meanwhile Chloe, Kaso and Alexander remained where they were on their horses.

[Jehanne]

Jehanne was where she always were, in the front line with her sword and shield ready to lay down her life for Aircnao. Seeing that the enemy forces would not yield Miracle's warning, Jehanne joined the charge with the others in the front line and collided with the enemy soldiers. The trainee's blade came into contact with one of the Jherrazad soldiers, pulling back after the block and kicking him back before bringing her blade down on another that came up to her on her right fighting her way through to keep any from passing her.

[Miracle]

Miracle bowed her head, closed her eyes and said a silent prayer before lifting her staff up high above her head and empowering each individual soldier of Aircano with the strength of twenty men as they did battle with the forces of Jherrazad.

[Solomon]

And empowered they were. The Holy Knights of Aircano began cutting through the masses of soldiers of the Empire and continued to advance forward as Solomon remained by Miracle's side. His eyes spying the two Generals and the Empress who had yet to enter the field and once they did Solomon knew that the battle real battle would begin. Until such time he positioned himself in front of Miracle to guard and protect her as he felt the strength enter his body, unknowingly as part of Miracle's own power and not the power of God.

[Chloe/Kat]

As Miracle would empower her armies, Chloe would do the same. Holding out Kasul the Empress would release the souls of powerful demon warriors absorbed throughout the ages and insert them into the warriors, binding them together and increasing all of their physical attributes and giving them special abilities to boot. Some shot fire from their bodies, and other froze the ground into slippery ice to cause the Aircano men to fall right into their blades as the soldiers of Jherrazad pressed back against Aircano who pressed back against them.

[Jehanne]

Jehanne took advantage of the ice to slide underneath the flames that were sent towards her and knocking the fire breather off his feet, getting back to her own and plunging her sword into the man's heart before setting her sights on the ice user meanwhile feeling the strength of twenty men enter into her body.

[Miracle]

In addition to increasing her soldier's strength she would also increase their stamina and cast a protection spell on them on top of the enchantments already placed on their armor. Miracle stayed close to Solomon on his horse with her arms holding the staff up high above her head as Moses before her when he led the Israelites to battle.

[Chloe/Kat]

Alexander was the first to enter into the fray, riding his horse across the field of battle and beheading one of the Aircano soldiers that attempted to block his path as he made way for Miracle and Solomon's position. Meanwhile the juggernaut Kaso would enter into the thick of it on foot, smashing through the ranks and literally sending Aircano troops flying as he headed to block off Jehanne. The Empress continued to watch the conflict from Jherrazad edge of the battlefield, the Kasul continuing to super charge her men to counteract the holy enchantments of the High Priestess.

[Jehanne]

Jehanne found herself in her own David and Goliath story when she looked up at the juggernaut now headed towards her. The warrior's eyes never betrayed her intensity and determination as she stepped forward and struck with her blade, shield at the ready to block should the juggernaut counter.

[Solomon]

Aircano's forces smashed against the Jherrazad army but it was no good as Jherrazad began pushing back Solomon's men and gaining momentum as Alexander and Kaso entered the battlefield. Solomon charged Alexander on his horse to cut him off on his path towards Miracle and brought his sword up, sending a mid-swing at the General as the sound of their blades clashing echoed through the air.

[Miracle]

Seeing that her army was being pushed back the High Priestess attempted to turn this one back around with a burst of holy energy but she was unable to muster up enough power to allow them to push back so instead each individual soldier began to turn back and go on the defensive as Jherrazad continued to push forward. Miracle was confused, she couldn't understand why she was unable to complete that spell.

[Chloe/Kat]

Chloe looked up to the sky and saw the endless blue became a blood red and her own unholy powers were increasing while Miracle's holy powers decreased. The Empress knew right then that someone back in Moon Valley reopened the seal to the Demon World but rather than using her power to deal with it she would allow it to go on to give her armies the boost they needed to defeat Aircano once and for all. There would be no miracle resurrection this time.

Alexander's sword pushed off of Solomon's as his horse continued forward and then turned around to move back to the Aircano General, led by the tip of his blade right into the eye of Solomon both to blind and knock him off his horse.

Jehanne's sword hit but failed to inflict damage against the Black Knight's armor as he brought up his arms, increasing the strength in his weapon as he brought the great long sword down with enough force to break Jehanne's shield and knock her on the ground.

[Jehanne]

Her shield broke and she herself fell onto the ground now able to see the bleeding red sky up above the behemoth of a man towering over her. Sensing in her heart that something was seriously wrong with the world but there was still the matter of Kaso to contest with. Jehanne rolled backward and then got up before jumping forward through the air and thrusting the tip of her sword into the eyes of the Black Knight.
