Its act of defiance broke the cycle and now thanks to Kasul we have a chance to stop the fail safe once and for all and end this accursed reruns the universes have been reliving for far too long.” |

Zira didn't want to believe it, she didn't want to believe that they existed in universes that always replayed the same three notes; the Arashi are created, they come and they destroy. This had to be another lie by Maricul to make herself appear as the hero of the story when she was actually the villain.

Luca sat up from the piano's bench and walked over to Zira, placing her hands on her cheeks as she looked into her eyes lovingly, attempting to calm the Firebird down after learning the terrible truth. After learning just how hopeless their situation appeared to be.

"Why? So you can have your precious Grand Utopia?" The Firebird said with disgust as she pulled away from Luca again. She may have been powerless but she certainly wasn't helpless. "So you can rule over us with an iron fist? That's all you care about so don't act like you're doing this to save humanity! You just want everyone to be your slaves."

This time Zira really did have nothing further to say to the Seductress as she turned around and headed out of Utopia, never looking back.

Luca said nothing and allowed Zira to take her leave. Turning back to face her reconstructed piano and returned to playing her music. The Firebird was in denial about a lot of things, things that the Paradox couldn't personally fault her on, but Zira would see before the end that they would need her.
They would need all the help they can get. |
