Jaden came to a few hours later. He looked around. He wasn’t dead? How was that possible? The last thing he remembered was being swept up in that blast. It should have destroyed both of them. ”You’re awake.” came the familiar reply. Jaden turned his head to see both Honest and Yubel standing there. ”Yeah, but why?” he asked. What had happened after he blacked out? ”You might be a fool, but remember if you die so do we.” she said crossing her arms. He made it so hard to protect him sometimes.
So that was it. Yubel most have stepped in after the blast hit him to make sure he didn’t die too. ”Thanks.” he said, but his tone was distracted. Almost as if thinking about something. He was in fact. He had lost control of that power inside himself again. If he did this time how long until the next time? Could he stop him then? And then there was the matter of those cards. He pulled the top cards from his deck. As expected they were them. Would he be able to stop him before he used those next time? He almost hadn’t this time.
Yubel plucked the three cards out of his hand taking the top two as well. She checked them to make sure what they thought they were before adding them to the three. Of course if he had those three these two wouldn’t be far behind. Her lips thinned. Best not to let Jaden know they were there. Jaden looked up at Yubel. Before he could say anything about it however Honest spoke. ”What happened wasn’t your fault Jaden.” Yubel turned to look at him before taking a few steps back of her own, placing the cards in her deck. She would hold on to them until they were able to be returned.
Jaden was on his feet in an instant. ”Then whos fault was it? I was the one that wasn’t strong enough to control it. I hurt people because of it.” he said his eyes betraying the sorrow he felt for it. ”It was the Supreme King's. You did your best to stop him and managed to before he hurt anyone else.” he said staring into his eyes. Jaden knew he was right, but how long until he lost control again? He knew nothing about the power he had in his possession. ”It's just. How much longer until I hurt someone with it again.” Jaden said. He looked at his duel disk. Yes he used this to protect others, but when The Supreme King took over it was only used to hurt others.
There was a silence that descended on the area as Yubel and Honest exchanged glances. Honest gave a small nod while Yubel shook her head. Jaden was lost in his own thoughts to notice it however. Honest's eyes went to Jaden at which Yubel didn't seem to say anything, but it was obvious whatever the conversation was about Honest had won this round. Honest turned to Jaden, Yubel close by his side. ”There is a way to keep it in check. You've already beaten it.” he said as Jaden looked up blinking. ”Then what are we waiting here for?” Jaden asked getting to their feet. The sooner they started the better.
They gave a nod before they the trio disappeared. At the very least before Jaden disappeared. Honest and Yubel were left behind in the wake of it. Yubel turned to Honest. ”Do you honestly think hes ready?” she asked him. Honest shook his head. ”Hes still young and knows little about his powers. However this is the best thing for him now and you know it.” he answered evenly. Yubel didn’t answer just looked away. Yeah she knew all right, but she was worried for that exact reason. If anything happened to him. Well if anything happened to him they would know, but he should be fine. After all he wasn’t there alone in it.
Jaden appeared floating in space, but he was alone. At least he thought he was alone. He actually knew where he was. He was in the Neo Space. Well what looked like it at least. He thought it was before something finally clicked. ”The Boy who defies Destiny. Why are you here?”it asked as Jaden turned around and confirmed it was who he thought. The Light of Destruction.
This was what they thought was going to help? Although it did make sense. The Light would keep the Darkness in check. In turn the Darkness would keep the light in check as well. ”Been a while hasn’t it.” Jaden said, but it wasn’t friendly, but it was a fact. A few years in fact. ”I guess you could say I’m here to ask for your help.” he said honestly. He didn’t trust the thing, but even it had to realize what was at stake if it said no. It gave pause as if thinking. ”Why should I do as you request. After all you did stop all of my plans.” it finally said.
Jaden rubbed the back of his head. ”Well you were kinda trying to take control of all my friend and the entire worlds.” he said before a serious look overtook his face. His next reason was serious. ”Also theres the matter of your existence. If I was to die you would cease to be. You know that already however. So that means you’re only option left is to accept and make sure I don’t.” he said. Even for him that logic was simple enough. It seemed to pause before finally giving it’s answer and attacking at the same time. ”No.” it finally said. It was more intent on destroying him and would be happier with that as well. Even if it did kill him,
Jaden’s duel disk was ready in an instant as he pulled the top card from his deck. Have it his way then. The area around him seemed to fall in on itself as the attack simply stopped coming. Even Jaden himself was drawn to the nearby vacuum. The two collided as Jaden fell to one knee his body began to glow white before it slowly faded and all that was left was Jaden. Jaden pulled the card out and looked at it. Super Ploymerization. It had been used to hurt others before, but now he was going to use his cards to help people, but he knew nothing of his powers. He knew of only a little of how to use them. And with his latest addition that little shot to close to zero. He appeared right where he had left a look of determination on his face. He would figure out how to use them more effectively. Since he had this power he was going to do something productive with it.
”I want to learn how to use my powers.” he said to Honest and Yubel. Yubel let out a smirk. About time, she might not have to do all the work for long. ”Starting when?” Honest asked not paying attention to Yubel for now. Jaden looked at Honest. ”I’ve hurt people. I need to make it right, but before I can help anyone I have to understand this power of mine.” he said. Honest gave a nod. ”Very well we start now.” he said as the three disappeared to do just that.
