Flames danced on flesh but instead of burning it it strengthened and soon spread throughout Lord Beelzebub's body. The fire was then consumed and the monstrosity that was the Lord of Demons appeared to be even stronger than before as he gained strength from Zira's demons and then crashed his body into Zira as if a freight train hit her.

The Firebird didn't move to dodge or even block the sudden attack with his own body. Instead she ran right into it quickly moving to the side and causing Lord Beelzebub to walk right into a Million Stab to send him riding back on his own momentum.

"To be a demon?"
At this, Sparda couldn't help a sardonic laugh. Perhaps Mundus had been gone for so long, he had forgotten the gravity of his defeat at the hands of his former general.
"Your inexhaustible legions of demons couldn't best me. You couldn't best me. Do you still fail to understand why?"
In the next moment, Sparda was directly behind Mundus, standing just as tall as him. There were barely three feet of space between them.
"It's because I embraced humanity. I've never felt so complete."
The Dark Knight turned sharply on the spot, crimson eyes bearing down upon his nemesis, and brought his right arm upwards in a swift diagonal sweep. At his command, his very shadow seemed to explode, a searing jet of ink black flames raging upwards across Mundus' body in the shape of a huge, arcing blade, shot through with flashes of violet, seeking to burn its way straight through his form.
The ice underfoot flash-melted in an instant, and evaporated even faster, a great scar carved into the ground beneath the two warriors almost before the blade of hellfire touched Mundus' body; even Beelzebub, with his scarcely matchable command of fire, might have cause to keep his distance. These flames were ravenous, all-consuming - infernal on a level neither of Sparda's opponents would see anywhere else.
The Dark Knight's power was pure, colossal, and set loose.

"Your son also embraced humanity."
The great sword made of stone in Mundus' hand broke apart and revealed a white devil arm in the form of a claymore. Moving forward Mundus blocked some of the flames from the Legendary Dark Knight's shadow but took damage from the rest, he continued forward through the flames and came at Sparda, the two haves of the claymore blade opening and out came a smaller spinning blade inside of it now as the Prince of Darkness now thrust the opened claymore into Sparda's chest where the small blade would continue to spin and spin like a power drill long after plunging into his heart. But it would not be the blade itself that would inflict such a blow. It would be the words to follow up his previous statement.
"And he died for it."

Except he didn't ride back.
He kept coming like an unstoppable force, unyielding.
Despite the agile and powerful blows of the Million Stab by the Firebird the Lord of Demon continued on his relentless assault, his arms moving just as fast as the Force Edge and meeting it strikes blow for blow. When the heat from the powerful flames by the Legendary Dark Knight could be felt towards their position Lord Beelzebub appeared even more stronger and unstoppable than before. His arms now moving faster than Zira's Million Stab, faster than her trained eye could see, breaking through the blows of the Force Edge and slamming his rock hard fist into her weak, fragile and insulting human body. He appeared bigger, even though he didn't rise in height a single inch.

Zira backed off and performed several back flips to create plenty of distance between herself and Lord Beelzebub as best she could before sending a telepathic message to Sparda:
Sparda! Something's wrong! I-I think Beelzebub is somehow feeding off our energy. It's making him stronger!
The Firebird went into a defensive stance and observed Lord Beelzebub to see what he'd do next. If her own power was making him stronger then activating her Devil Trigger was out of the question but if she couldn't rely on her demons to get her out of this what could she rely on?
