How long had it been since he left the castle to think to himself, to find a way to get better, to return to the way he used to be. Days? Weeks? No...no it had been nearly three months and not long enough for his liking but he felt he needed to go back. While he walked, boots crushing the green grass under his feet with each step, he thought to when he first got to this little place he was living at. The place was pretty bare, a circle of trees with a stream near by. He slept under the tree's, bathed in the stream, when he needed to eat he either hunted it down or found it growing around. It was here that he also worked on his fighting prowess, as well as his new weapon's and armor.
He had taken frequent trips now and then to close by places where a black smith was present, trading pelts, different types of rocks, or even labor to get what he needed. The smiths did several bits of work for him when he paid up, a leather and steel shoulder pad he had on for his right shoulder that fitted underneath the trench coat he wore. His father's shattered sword, beyond repair, had pieces of the hilt and blade crafted onto the gauntlet he wore so that it shined with bright silver and bits of red from the sword. The finger tips were re-sharpened like talons for combat use that he had really become attached to using. His vampiric blade that he had with him for as long as he could remember still rested on his back and was replaced mostly by a good sized bo-staff
So, adorned with the bits of armor and updated weapons, not to mention the time spent working on his wind and lightning spells and attacks, he felt he was ready to return to the castle. However, there were some talk going around as he moved through different areas about the new ruler of the land. He never really met the person, let alone was ever in their presence but the more he heard about the woman, it made him second guess his every step towards the place. Having never been there during her rule, it made him wonder about the things he took with him to that small room in the tower he was given. However, there was one thing he wanted to do before he went to the Castle, and that was stop in a tavern near by for a drink.
So, there he was, the lost half demon sitting upon a stool at the bar with a tankard of whatever it was he ordered for himself. "Now to break into the castle...and get my stuff back if I can't just walk in there like last time.", he said aloud to himself before taking a large swallow of the ale.

"You know, if that's your plan it might be a good idea not to say it out loud." Adam would see to his right a couple of empty stools away, a young brunette woman who had the side of her face resting on the bar table as her eyes looked over at the man. "You never know who might be listening." Aminee said matter-of-factly as she lifted her head up from the bar table and grabbed her drink, sitting up from her stool and walking past the two empty ones to take a seat right next to the man. "Never know who they might be affiliated with either." Aminee played around with the straw in her drink, taking another sip of it before going further. Chloe was her friend and a good one at that. Giving her free reign to visit here whenever she may choose making traveling from Isafaro to Jherrazad and Moon Valley that much easier, not including distance but that was another story.
"Name's Aminee Starlight. What's yours?"

"You know, if that's your plan it might be a good idea not to say it out loud."
Adam stopped mid-sip of his Ale and let his eyes slowly turned to the right as they located the source of the voice that spoke to him. He had seen the brunette woman when he had entered the Tavern, her head down on the bar. He hadn't thought much about her though, pretty much felt the same about her as he did everyone else in the bar.
"You never know who might be listening."
He went back to his ale, feeling the alcohol slide down his throat until the metal tankard was empty and he slowly sat it back down upon the bar as the woman took the empty seat next to him. His blue eyes seemed to flash a bit as if assessing her a moment to see if she had been a threat.
"Never know who they might be affiliated with either."
He chuckled a bit, obviously not thinking much of that statement as he reached into his coat's pocket and pulled out a few bits of currency and placed it upon the bar for the bartender before he looked over at her as she opened her mouth again.
"Name's Aminee Starlight. What's yours?"
He thought about that question...should he give her his name? Someone he hadn't known, in this place with its new leader? He didn't feel comfortable around her, around this place. It was like a looming shadow had entered the room and was waiting for him to slip up somehow so it could carry him away. He looked at her a moment longer before he looked back across the bar and spoke.
"Doe....John Doe. Is there something you want from me Miss Starlight or is this one of those things where you say your a guard and your going to arrest me for what I said earlier?", he said with pretty much zero emotion, as if he were waiting to hear her answer before he did anything.

"Cute." A James Bond reference. Aminee just rolled her eyes - wait, they had James Bond? Ugh, couldn't escape that British spy anywhere. "I'm not a guard. You have to be literally made of stone to meet that criteria." She motioned over to the stone statue of a demon guard who now stood at the entrance of the bar looking around to make sure everything was in order before leaving. "I am friends with the Empress though. Let me save you some trouble, she's not the unreasonable sort. All you have to do is state your business and she'll let you grab your stuff."

Peoria hummed as he flouted though this city of shorts, it was dusty. He frowned as he flouted about the dust, thinking. He then yawned and started to move across the street flouting about, douging people and things as they moved as he yawned again. He looked about once he reached the other side of the street, where could he find a place to sleep? He pondered this as he looked up at the Traven. Maybe this place had room for him.
He entered place eyeing the guard for a second, he stood there for a few seconds wondering who could see him since he was after all a spirit and more humans couldn’t see him. He was no bigger than a cat size at the moment. He was off white gray color his eyes were hidden as his face was pure contentment and tiredness. He wondered over to the long counter side and let himself flout up to land on the counter and he moved down the counter to get to the other end of it as he hummed three blind mice to himself.

"Cute."
That one word from her lips brought a smirk to his face as he looked over at her.
"I thought it was rather cute myself..."
He had no intention of telling her his real name, too many things could happen.
"I'm not a guard. You have to be literally made of stone to meet that criteria."
He looked back towards the door, eyes resting on the stone guard before it left after it checked the place for any signs of a disturbance. He huffed, looking back towards the front of the bar as his eyes rolled.
"Been here for quite a while now...and I wouldn't mind putting a bullet into each one of those damn thing's head. Doesn't matter anyways...won't get me back to the time zone I belong too anyways.
"I am friends with the Empress though. Let me save you some trouble, she's not the unreasonable sort. All you have to do is state your business and she'll let you grab your stuff."
He chuckled now, ignoring the being that had just entered the tavern and hummed a rather annoying tune. He hated that nursery rhyme...who gives a damn about three mice that were blind? He looked back towards the woman and checked her over again, eyes finally resting at hers before he spoke.
"Alright then...I'll listen to you...for now anyways. If your a great friend of the empress it would be a lot easier to be able to walk in there like before and gather my things. Any chance we can go now?

Samwise Gamgee shook his head. This town..this city..nay, this whole world was not by any means a decent place for a respectable Hobbit. He found himself longing for the quiet days back at home in the Shire, his hometown. Ah, those endless hours of gardening, smoking a pipe, and coming home to his warm, comfortable house...they were over now, at least for while. Sam was not one to back off when he put his mind to something, and his Master Frodo needed him. Sam's large, hairy bare feet struck a wood floor as he entered at tavern. It had a rather ill feel about it. There weren't many people there, and it didn't have the comfortable, approachable air like the Green Dragon in the Shire. He avoided eye contact with anyone and tried to hop onto the barstool, only to find he wasn't tall enough to reach. Sam had always found his hight respectable. He was three feet and, being a Hobbit, was not likely to grow any more, save sideways.
Sam had been traveling a while, now, and had decided to enter this tavern for a break. He should have known accommodations weren't exactly stressed when it came to Hobbits, such as himself. Sam had no armor on him, as he hated fighting, still, he was not one to go unprepared. For under his long, grey woolen coat lay concealed a dagger. Not just any dagger, the workmanship of the men of Wessterness. It looked small to any of these big folk, but to Sam, it was a sizable weapon all the same. Other than that, the shirt on his back, a vest that was too large and an elvish cloak, Sam was not very spectacularly adorned. He had his sense about him, and he figured that was enough. Still, he thought, looking at the man through narrowed eyes, was it enough protection? These fellows, not to mention the woman sitting near where he was standing, looked...dodgy. Dangerous, was the word, really. Even the batman looked uncomfortable. Yet, when the batman looked at Sam, he smothered a laugh. Sam glared, used to this kind of reaction, now. The barman probably thought he was some child who had wandered in by mistake! Sam approached the counter and tilted his head back, the better to see the man. "Ale please. Just a half-pint." Sam said gruffly.

She could feel his eyes on him even when she wasn't looking in his direction, and even though they weren't malicious in nature Aminee couldn't help but feel the same eyes of her attacker burning through her clothes through the visage of Adam forcing her to endure that hell all over again. The Pop Idol avoided his eyes altogether while staring intently at the table trying to push those thoughts away. It wasn't his fault, it wasn't anyone's fault but the men who did this to her. Even then she still wanted to punch Adam in the face. Punch Him in the face. Why did she let him go? Why didn't she finish him off when she had the chance? If he attacked somebody else then it would be on her head.
"Alright. Let's go." All Aminee had to do was get Adam to the castle and Chloe and her men could take it from there. Aminee didn't see nor hear Peoria enter the tavern but as she stood up from the stool her eyes diverted to the three feet tall man who entered the tavern with the hairiest pair of feet she's ever seen. "Good lord," said Aminee while covering her mouth.

Sam looked up, startled as a young woman looked straight at him with an evident look of shock on her face. He coulden't help but feel annoyed and more than a bit offended at her reaction to his apperance. Sam glared at her and straightend in an attempt to make himself look a little taller. "Well, that's nice! he remarked. "Miss, where I come from, it's rude to gawk as you're doin', as a matter of speakin'. Sam was not unused to this sort of behavior in his travels, but he had been gawked at so much in this town, it was enough to make anyone snap. However, Sam soon began to regret his course of action. Perhaps this woman was a witch, or had some means of causing harm at her disposal. It would be unwise to provoke someone you hardly knew, and Sam had learned not to go by appearances. He glanced at the exit. If the woman tried to attack, he could still run for it.

"Wait a minute..." Aminee approached the hobbit seeming to recall him from elsewhere and as she got closer to him it came back to her. "You're the little guy from Isafaro. What brings you to Jherrazad?" It was indeed a small world. She was only here because of the succession of her best friend becoming Empress otherwise there wouldn't be much reason to come here at all. Aminee didn't know Ranko very well but something told her she wasn't the friendly type and didn't like outsiders coming in and out of her empire as they pleased. "Oh. This is John Doe. I just met him at the bar." That didn't sound right. "Ahem! We're just going to see the Empress."

Sam recognized the woman as well. "That would make you the tall lady with the gun, I reckon." Sam said, smiling a little. In response to her question, he stated "There's been some talk of a new empress, and I figured I should pay my respects. Us Hobbits ain't keen on traveling much. Since I'm the mayor of my little village, it would make sense, eh?"

Peoria moved past the group of people, he turned once he was at the end and stared at the opening, that open to show a small man. He shurged, he had no wish to make anything with anyone as he pondered slightly.
Peoria was then quickly brought out of his thoughts and then he was bored of this place as he stared at everything then he then leapt off the bar count and walked out of the building intent on finding something else to keep his mind happy.
