Woe (Finished)

The cries of war. The cries of her people.

It was as strong now as it ever was.

Time has came to past and still nothing has changed. The new mantle of power only caused unrest to the loyalists of Ranko and those that still wished to be free of the empire's tyranny. The Blind Assassin had almost forgotten what it was like to be confronted by so much shit.

Fukari stood in the middle of a circle formed by demonic statutes who only life source came from the souls dictated by the devil Z-Rah. Another being that did not belong to this world. Despite them having her outnumbered no emotion was seen on the half devil's face. As if she was merely another statue in the crowd until she broke the eerie silence herself.

"I request an audience with the Empress."

No response came. There was another moment of complete silence before a single statue advanced on the Blind Assassin and threatened to cut her in half with its blade but in a blink of an eye, Fukari was in the air and by the time she landed the statue has fallen into several pieces on the desert sand thanks to the quick slashes of Fukari's Katana which has already returned to its sheath by the time she hit the ground.

Two more statues charged at her on opposite side of each other causing Fukari to roll out of the way quickly as the two statues ram right into each other and an explosion beneath their feet went off setting a chain reaction that destroyed statue after statue after statue until the only person left remaining was Fukari herself and her sights was set on the castle now under the command of Empress Chloe.

[Chloe/Kat]

Z-Rah looked on at the show from the castle up ahead impressed by the show of skill the Blind Assassin had demonstrated down below. He turned his head when Chloe arrived on the scene to also look down at the woman heading for her castle. "Tread carefully with this one, Empress. She is powerful indeed." "Nothing Kasul and I can't handle." "Kasul and I?" Chloe gave Z-Rah a cold glare for that and then lunged from the castle through the air, spinning in the sky to double the length she could go allowing her to land right in front of the Blind Assassin's current position.

Standing up to her full height of 5'4, Chloe took a good hard look at the woman in pink remembering her from the incident at Utopia which led to them all having to retreat after being turned human for a time. "You're the one from Utopia who was granted sight. Why are you here and not where you can see?"

[Alex]

"I can see as clear as day."

Fukari spoke at length, her thumb brushing over the hilt of her Katana as she prepared for another hard-fought battle on these grounds as the one from before. Though Chloe was no Maricul, the Blind Assassin knew there was a reason Kasul chose her and would not take her lightly as long as the soul devouring demon blade was in her possession. Her only regret was not being able to have this battle with Ranko herself as Chloe was only guilty for these crimes through inheriting them from Ranko but justice at the end of the day was justice.

"When you accepted the role of Empress you not only inherited an empire you inherited all it's crimes."

Fukari took another step closer to the Empress before continuing:

"Therefore you must answer for the crimes Empress Ranko has committed against this land and it's people with your blood."

[Chloe/Kat]

"I don't suppose you'd mind filling me in on these crimes before you try taking my head off." Chloe didn't know. Kasul, Kaso, Alexander and others with the Jherrazad Empire has neglected to tell her which came as no surprise. It looked like she was dealing with a rebel who wanted to stand up against the desert empire in the name of the people and the last thing she needed was someone who could restart the civil war that took a tragedy for Ranko to end.

Chloe's ignorance of the facts were seen as nothing more than a desperate lie to stall and hopefully lead to an avoidance of conflict but the Blind Assassin knew better than that. She knew better than to think that someone in position of power wouldn't be aware of the sins which came with the position, not when you had something as knowledgeable as Kasul constantly whispering in your ear. Fukari wouldn't fall for it not now, not ever.

"Don't act like you don't know."

Fukari slipped her hand into the pocket of her jacket.

"Don't take me for a fool!"

Suddenly the ground underneath Chloe's feet would rumble as a loud explosion erupted to tear her apart where she stood.

[Chloe/Kat]

Chloe only had a split second to react but a split second was all she needed. She burst forward and got out of the way of the explosion just in time to suffer the minimal damage from it and the time the gap between Fukari and herself was closed she had fully regenerated from the damage she did suffer and raised Kasul to bring it down to cut across her shoulder.

[Alex]

The Blind Assassin leaped backwards to get out of striking distance from the Kasul blade as the Empress stepped directly on a claymore mine set between them which went off immediately after Chloe's foot made contact with it. Fukari's feet firmly landed on the ground fifteen feet away and sidestepped while beginning to draw her Katana.

"Watch your step."

Fukari mocked as she sheath the Katana, the silver blade shinning in the light of the suns above.

[Chloe/Kat]

Chloe cried out in pain as she hit the ground hard after stepping on the claymore. The vampiress didn't stay on the ground long as she jumped back up to her feet, blue eyes turned crimson red as she stabbed Kasul into the ground as deep as she can and unleashed a wave of energy into the ground setting off all the explosives Fukari had set in the area. Soon the half-demon that dare threatened her life and the well-being of her empire would be surrounded by flames and debris in the wake of all those explosions going off around her simultaneously.

As all her explosions went off prematurely, as fire and debris threatened to consume her,

the Blind Assassin stood there in perfect harmony.

Not even the slightest flinch on her facial features to indicate an alert status, only calm could be seen by the new Empress of Jherrazad before Fukari was hidden behind the veil of fire. A moment of silence, then a moment of dread for those who wanted to see Chloe executed came to past before the half devil woman lunged through the debris towards the Empress with her Katana raised but that was only the decoy.

Wrapped tightly within her closed fist was a fragment of the very same fire that came at her. Manipulated through her power over the element which was unlocked months ago during the battle against Maricul which also began in this city. Once the Blind Assassin was five feet away she opened the fist and struck Chloe in the mouth with a palm of fire. Since it was only manipulated, and not created by demon magic, Kasul was powerless to stop the flames.

[Chloe/Kat]

Chloe took great pleasure in watching the Blind Assassin get pulled into the fire with no way out. That would teach her and anyone else who were foolish enough to even think of challenging her authority but the victory lap wouldn't last long as Fukari came flying out of the fire and debris with her weapon held high into the air ready to come down upon the vampiress' flesh. Not intending on allowing Fukari any ground Chloe spun around and hit Fukari back through the air with the sharp edge of Kasul to send her back into the smoke and debris of the now burnt out flames.

[Alex]

A pin hit the ground,

belonging to the silver grenade that slid down Kasul's blade, bounced up Chloe's arm and gave her a kiss of silver upon her face by the time the Blind Assassin feet touched the ground after regaining control of her body after being knocked through the air.

Fukari grinned as fond memories of a certain bitch literally eating a silver grenade passed through her thought process as she waited for the Empress to make her next move.

If there was anything left....

[Chloe/Kat]

Chloe screams bellowed throughout all the empire as she held a hand up to her burnt face, pieces of hair falling out of her head and hitting the sand by her feet as she staggered backwards. She quickly regained her balance, removing the hand covering her face to reveal the horrible burns now on the right side of it making her look like a burn victim as she growled towards Fukari in intense anger. "You bitch! Look what you did to my face!" Chloe charged up Kasul, no more messing around. This time she was going to give it all she had. "I'll kill you. You hear me? I'll kill you!" With the demon blade fully charged up, the vampiress charged towards the Blind Assassin.

"You're a little slow, aren't you?"

Fukari reached up to the back of her head and undid the tapes surrounding her eyes. Chloe would be able to see a severe case of uveitis in the middle layer of the Blind Assassin brown eyes as the tape drop down to the ground.

"I'm blind."

Fukari listened as Chloe lost herself to the rage and her footsteps hurried closer. The Blind Assassin responded by sheathing and resheathing her Katana, the blade cutting across the distance between them and inflicting moderate to severe cuts across the vampiress' main body before she even got within range to strike with the Kasul, in which the Blind Assassin then parried with her Katana before turning her weapon around and hitting Chloe with the hilt of her blade with enough force to send her hurling into the air where the Blind Assassin would cleave her in two.

At the last split second before the first slashes could reach in the midst of her charge, the vampiress burst forward at speeds so great she vanished as if she teleported out of the area and in that same instance the Empress reappeared behind the Blind Assassin with an explosion of slashes aimed at her lower back to inflict massive damage on her lower spine.

[Alex]

Fukari drew a claymore mine and spun around just in time to meet Chloe and stab the claymore in her face, the result of the explosion separating the two as the Blind Assassin's demonic powers absorbed the fires preventing her from taking the worse of it as she hit the ground, a sick grin on her face.

Chloe wouldn't be so lucky.
