Imai looked up from the data pad in her hands and placed it down before standing up to her feet.
“As I have already been made aware of.”
Assuming Garrus wouldn't be far behind her, Imai exit through her office and walked across the hallway home to the various different labs in the building to find Zira Firestone just now coming through the entrance, stopping in order to greet her.
“Welcome. I'm Commander Imai Katayo the officer in charge of this operation. I don't suppose you have any good news for me on the war front?”

Zira was not alone in the room with Imai for very long. Following closely came Sparda, left hand raised to adjust his monocle as he flanked the Firebird, a pleasant smile upon his face.
"A pleasure to meet you, Commander," he spoke up, inclining his head in greeting. "My name is Sparda." He gestured to the daughter of Mundus. "This is Zira Firestone. We've come to establish a liaison with your organisation and ally against General Vulture, whose warmongering has begun to directly threaten the rest of Jherra."
Nodding once more, Sparda took his place beside Zira, waiting for her to say her piece. This meeting had been long overdue; the demon hoped it would proceed smoothly.

Garrus followed Imai out of her office and down the halls to meet with the two. He remained by her side and listened to the man who introduced himself as Sparda and the woman as Zira Firestone. It didn't surprise him to hear that Vulture was becoming a more national problem as a dictator like that wasn't content which just owning such a small of part of the world but he would leave the questions for the commander to ask as he introduced himself to the two. Kragen had allowed the others to past him by as he took a much slower walk to the labs in order to keep an eye on everybody else to make sure things went smoothly. As he finally arrived to the base the ex-soldier walked past Sparda and Zira Firestone near the front just as they were introducing themselves and took his place next to Imai across from where Garrus were standing. His rifle still at his hands still and held prepared as it always was with him. Kragen opt to stay silent and simply observe the conversation for now.

"Would holding Ayanna Kaktas and Zach Tigerson captive in Jherrazad count as good news?"
They were two of three of Isafaro's best soldiers and they were now heavily guarded by Jherrazad knights back in the castle now ran by their friend Chloe. One could only imagine that it wouldn't be long before Vulture made a move to get those two back so if this resistance had questions to ask those two there weren't much time to waste. When Sparda got through the introductions Zira spoke again:
"Vulture wishes to use the tower in the expanse to conquer different realities. We need more people to help secure the tower and guard it from theirs and anyone else's attempts to claim it. It would also be of great help if we had a contact inside Isafaro itself. In exchange we can trade men and supplies with each other. For example a birdy told me you need better weapons to deal with things like 'vampires' we can get you modified weapons better equipped to handle monsters like the one you've faced already."

"Would holding Ayanna Kaktas and Zach Tigerson captive in Jherrazad count as good news?"
“Only if you got any information out of them that can be of use.”
"A pleasure to meet you, Commander."
Imai turned her attention away from Zira to look over to her associate.
"My name is Sparda."
The Commander gave a nod to acknowledge, trusting that Sparda had already overheard her introduction while following in after Zira.
"This is Zira Firestone. We've come to establish a liaison with your organization and ally against General Vulture, whose warmongering has begun to directly threaten the rest of Jherra."
"Garrus Vakarian."
“And the person on my right is Kragen.”
"Vulture wishes to use the tower in the expanse to conquer different realities."
“Makes sense. Vulture's power source comes directly from the planet. If he had the tower he wouldn't need to hold back as much as he's forced to now.”
A madman with unlimited power at his fingertip. It was enough to give Imai's goosebumps.
"We need more people to help secure the tower and guard it from theirs and anyone else's attempts to claim it. It would also be of great help if we had a contact inside Isafaro itself. In exchange we can trade men and supplies with each other. “I don't suppose you could just tell us how to kill him?”

“Only if you got any information out of them that can be of use.”
"You'd have to ask Chloe. You could always send someone yourself to interrogate them."
The Firebird gave Garrus and Kragen a small wave as they were introduced before looking back to the leader of the group.
“Makes sense. Vulture's power source comes directly from the planet. If he had the tower he wouldn't need to hold back as much as he's forced to now.”
"Wait, what?"
Now this was one fact Zira did not know as she looked over to Sparda for a brief moment. All this time Vulture has been draining the planet?
"So you're basically telling me that the stronger he and Isafaro gets the weaker Genesis becomes? Why the hell hasn't any of the other nations stepped in and try to stop him?"
And she didn't just mean the ones in Jherra.
“I don't suppose you could just tell us how to kill him?”
"I would love to if we knew a way to kill him where he would stay dead."

“Chloe?”
Word has yet to reach the ears of the resistance that Ranko was no longer the Empress of The Jherrazad Empire. That she laid dead and in her place was a vampire, not of this world. Imai has always wanted to meet Empress Ranko but it looked like fate had other plans.
"Wait, what?"
“Isafaro's power source comes from the planet. You didn't know this?”
"So you're basically telling me that the stronger he and Isafaro gets the weaker Genesis becomes? Why the hell hasn't any of the other nations stepped in and try to stop him?"
“The ones who can have chosen the diplomatic route. I imagine that will all change soon.”
"I would love to if we knew a way to kill him where he would stay dead."
“Well how do you normally kill his kind?”

"Stakes to the heart, decapitation, blessed or naturally holy weapons..."
These were the normal methods of disposing of a vampire. The problem was that Alucard was no ordinary vampire.
"But they won't work this time." Sparda sounded clearly irritated by the admittance of this fact. "In the world he comes from, Alucard is the vampire. The original. The progenitor of his entire species. He's far too old and powerful for the normal methods to work on him."
Sparda shook his head. It pained him to describe to someone, or to himself, how unstoppable the nosferatu truly was. "Until we find a way to get rid of him for good, the best we can hope for is to fight him to a stalemate and keep casualties and collateral damage to a minimum. And not to underestimate your people, but of everyone here, I think I'm the only person who can go head-to-head with him."

Kragen remained silent for most of the conversation. Only listening to what the others were saying until they got onto the topic of the vampire. He remembered the fight well and how hopeless everything seemed to be even after they got the temporary upgraded weapons but there may be a chance of victory yet. "A vampire requires blood to survive. Would draining this 'Alucard' of his blood not eliminate him permanently?"

“Chloe?”
"New ruler of Jherrazad. She succeeded Ranko after she died."
“Isafaro's power source comes from the planet. You didn't know this?”
"Well, no. The source of their power never came up much."
Nor was she close enough to anyone who's mind would have that information until just now and she hasn't been reading their minds anymore out of respect for them from not attacking back on the rooftops.
“The ones who can have chosen the diplomatic route. I imagine that will all change soon.”
Zira hoped so. If threatening the world with your very existence wasn't enough than perhaps threatening all life as we know it through an unknown tower would be enough to get them to act. Though Zira couldn't fault them for at least trying the peaceful route, as hopeless as it was given what kind of person Vulture proved to be.
"A vampire requires blood to survive. Would draining this 'Alucard' of his blood not eliminate him permanently?"
"Assuming you can capture him to actually manage it, yeah... Perhaps... So, Imai, do we have a deal?"

"New ruler of Jherrazad. She succeeded Ranko after she died."
“Died? How did she die?”
That was unbelievable. Ranko was around leading the people of Jherrazad since she was still in diapers, since her parents and grandparents were still in diapers and now she was gone. Just like that. There was no worst a time to adapt to a new leader than during wartime. Who was this Chloe and how come she's never heard of her until now?
"Stakes to the heart, decapitation, blessed or naturally holy weapons..."
It really was like the books.
"But they won't work this time."
Go figure.
"In the world he comes from, Alucard is 'the' vampire. The original. The progenitor of his entire species. He's far too old and powerful for the normal methods to work on him."
“Then what will?”
"A vampire requires blood to survive. Would draining this 'Alucard' of his blood not eliminate him permanently?"
Imai looked towards Kragen, liking the sound of that plan as she looked back to Zira and Sparda.
"Assuming you can capture him to actually manage it, yeah... Perhaps... So, Imai, do we have a deal?"
“Tell your people it's done. Kragen, Garrus, I want you both to go to Jherrazad and interrogate Ayanna and Zach. Find out anything of use you can from them.”

Cause in this sky, so dark with Winter
We still have to believe it’s true.______________________________________________________ Kira really could debate her words. Even if he could he didn’t want to and in the end that made her even more right. He didn’t want to fight, never wanted to fight. His thoughts flashed back to that day at Heliopolis. Everything had seemed so right that day, but had gone so wrong. He had been forced into the Gundam having no other choice, then he had to use it to save his friends.aaaa Everything had seemed so right that day, but had gone so wrong. He had been forced into the Gundam having no other choice, then he had to use it to save his friends. He had fought and killed so many people during that time. People who had been just like him, who had only wanted an end to the war that it had brought. That had been seeking that answer, that solution of peace. He shut his eyes not alone in his thoughts. Her comment brought up memories he wished he could forget. Memories he wanted to forget, but couldn’t. It was impossible for him to. Each and every one of them was engrained into his memory. Waltfeld’s question rang out in his mind as he shut his eyes trying to hold back the tears. ”At what point do we put an end to it? When all your enemies are dead, perhaps then.” His hand fell against the wall as the memory of that young girl floated up. ”Thank you for protecting the rest of us up till now.” Despite his best efforts he couldn’t hold back the tears. War, war was a terrible thing. He fell to his knees as his birde fluttered off. In the very next battle. He had been forced to watch all those civilians die just because they had stumbled upon the horrors of war. He couldn’t help, but still feel the same he had when he and Flay had talked about it. ”War is a terrible thing. I wish it would hurry up and end.” He slowly let his hand slide down the wall. He couldn’t see why anyone would want to encourage this type of thing. Tolle, Flay. All the others he had killed. All the others that had been killed. In the end it only created an endless cycle of hate. Why anyone would want to make others suffer. In the end it was those that weren’t involved that suffered the most. After seemed like ages Kira finally regained his composure. He knew he should meet Imai and the rest so after doing the best he could to clean himself up he did so. Kira had entered towards the end of the conversation, but to probably everyone here he seemed fine, but in his mind. There was clearly more going on in it then he wanted to admit. He was silently leaning against the doorway though. He would never say anything about it with Zira and Sparda here. Was there even anyone here he could talk to about such a thing? ______________________________________________________ A little light begins to shine,

That was it, the deal has been made and it looked like Garrus was finally going to see the outside of Isafaro and what's life in the rest of Jherra was like. Kragen had made a very good suggestion before and one that only escaped his mind as vampires weren't commonly talked about where he came from, but they've definitely seen some strange things. Garrus Vakarian Yes, Commander. Garrus took a glance over to Kragen to try to measure what he was feeling, then spared a glance towards Kira who just entered the room before looking back at Zira and Sparda. Garrus Vakarian I take it the two of you will be leading the way back to Jherrazad?

That was surprisingly easy. Zira was almost taken aback by it. She has gotten so used to natives in Genesis denying their help that having one be rational for once were both mind boggling and refreshing. The Firebird couldn't even say for sure if Aircano was still on their side after the incident back at the Crystal Expanse which led to Miracle's disappearance, but at least here she knew the Isafaro resistance would be.
"Glad to hear it."
"I take it the two of you will be leading the way back to Jherrazad?"
"Sparda can get you there rather easily. Assuming you don't get portal sickness..."
