After much debating and mental anguish the pink-haired female decided to finally visit June and give her an explanation regarding their previous encounters with each other and all her actions up to this point. Coming to the side of her house where one could see June's bedroom window, which was naturally covered by a curtain so none could peep in through, Utena took a small rock from the ground and threw it at the glass in an attempt to get the brunette's attention.

Luckily for Utena, June was a light sleeper. The second the little rock made contact with her window her eyes were wide open and body up into a seated position. Dressed in a pair of beige pajamas, June stood up into her white bunny slippers and walked over to the window and moving the curtain to see Utena one floor below her on the ground.
What in the world?
June opened up the window by pulling it up and looked down to Utena, confused.
“Utena, what are you doing here? Do you have any idea what time it is!?” she said in a whisper just loud enough for Utena to hear.

Utena smiled, happy to see June even if she was a little grumpy at her for visiting at such an hour. "Yes I know but I must speak with you. Can I come up?" June nodded in approval, albeit a bit reluctantly as Utena climbed up the tree outside the house and enter through the opened window now face to face with June. "I don't normally do this but I feared if I waited then I wouldn't be able to- Erm...."
It had just struck Utena that she was standing face to face with June in her bedroom, alone. Her eyes settled in on the girl facing her, admiring everything from the beautiful brown innocent eyes Utena envied, the slight bedhead she'd developed before Utena woke her up, the PJs and even the bunny slippers. But the horrible thoughts of a sociopath was still ever present in her mind. Thoughts creep into her minds, asking how she could emotionally and physically break June but Utena shook her head, on the verge of tears by those thoughts that had appeared Utena attempted to quickly say something before things grew awkward by the long pause.
"Y-you look nice."

“All right but be quiet. You don't want to wake up my parents.”
June stepped away from the window as Utena entered her room and later closed it so no more cold air would sink in. Turning her gaze back to Utena, she waited to hear what all she had to say that was so important it couldn't wait until morning, until June noticed where those blue eyes were going. A small pink blush filled up June's cheeks causing her to break eye contact with Utena and take a step back as she was fully aware where they were and what could happen if they weren't careful.
“Thank you. So what was it you wanted to talk about?”

Utena was thankful June didn't see she was on the verge of tears. She had the darkness to thank for that. Noticing that the brunette was getting nervous with being alone in a bedroom with her, Utena gently reached out and took her hands in her, offering the strongest smile she could in her current state, trying to relax and assure that she wasn't going to try anything on June. Thinking about what she was going to say next, Utena decided it was best to just come right out with it.
"I'm Utena Tenjou. As in, from Revolutionary Girl Utena." June would be able to tell she weren't kidding. Her eyes filled with just as much sadness as they were pure rage at just thinking about the idea that her whole life was just an anime. It was nothing short of a miracle that she had any kind of sanity left remaining. "When I found out, I snapped. I didn't know what was real anymore. I did things I'm not proud of. That's why I isolated myself in the mountains where you first found me. You remind me of someone else I knew. Which is why I could never hurt you, June."

“What?”
June blinked, thinking Utena was pulling her leg for a moment but it soon became clear that was not the case. This wasn't just a person who happened to look like her and share the same name, this actually was the same Utena Tenjou that she and her friends watched on DVD and read about in books. June was amazed. It was exactly like looking at a piece of fiction brought to life but when June heard she snapped as a result, she quickly stopped being so intrigued just because she was an animated cartoon character. Realizing how horrible it must have been to find that in another reality your entire life was just one lie.
“I'm so sorry. But just because you're a work of fiction here doesn't mean your entire existence is a lie.”
June couldn't understand why any creator would work the universe out like this, which was just one of many reasons why June didn't believe in gods. If anything this just further proved that everything was created by accident. Closing the albeit small gap left between them, June gently placed her hands on her cheeks to feel how real she was.
“You're real to me.”

Utena grew warm at June's touch, bringing up her own hands to touch the back of her palms. This warmth, once again Utena was reminded of Anthy and when she thought of all the terrible sins she's committed during her time in this world and what Anthy would think, she broke down. Falling to her knees, Utena began to weep while still holding onto June for comfort. "Oh, god I'm sorry! I killed them. I killed them all. I spilt their blood with my sword, the same sword I swore I would protect you with. I'm sorry. I'm unworthy of your love. I'm sorry!" Utena forgot that it wasn't Anthy she was confessing to, but June and she also forgot that her parents and brother were sleeping in the rooms next door. "I'm not the prince destined to save you. I can't even save myself."

“Utena. Utena, please.”
June was trying to find a way to calm Utena down. If she ended up waking up her parents then June would never be able to explain this and she shuddered to think what would happen. As she was brainstorming it occurred to her that now, more than ever, was the time to provide a critical spoiler detail to Utena as the memory of how her Anime ended came to mind.
“You did save her. You did. Look at me.”
June gently brought a finger to Utena's chin to lift her head up so the two would make eye-contact.
“She's no longer the Rose Bride. The duels are over and she's free. She's searching for you now. You did save her. That's why so many people love and admire you. Why they aspire to be like you. They love who you are, what you stand for. You're not a failure.”

"What?" June's words, they didn't seem possible. Could it be true? Was Anthy free and searching for her? But how-? The tapes! Oh, god, the tapes. All this time the Champion of Ohtori never even thought to look at the videos of her life after the final duel to see what happened to everyone, if it was even available. She was either too far gone or too afraid to look at any of them. Utena wanted to take June word for it but she had to see it with her own two eyes first. "Show me. Please, June. I want to see it for myself."

“Show you? Right now?”
June looked at her PC, which stood on top of her desk across from the bed on the right-hand side of the room and then looked towards the door. She wasn't even supposed to be up at this hour and if either of her parent woke up and heard a show running it'd be her head, more so if Utena was caught on top of that. But looking back into those eyes of hers, June found it impossible to say no.
“All right but we have to be quiet.”
There were to be no more outbursts. Good thing her parents weren't as light a sleeper as she was. Walking over to her dresser, June pulled out the door that had a bunch of DVDs stacked on top of each other. Digging through them quickly she pulled out a Revolutionary Girl Utena one and got the disc which contained the last episode before booting up her PC and putting the disc into CD/DVD ROM drive. Once everything was booted up, June went directly to the last scene of episode 39 and pressed play.
“You see. You did free her.”

Utena watched as June pulled out one of those 'DVD' cases and turned on the nearby computer. Her heart was pounding at just the idea of watching an episode of her homeworld, even if it was just a small part of it. She allowed the anger that normally grew whenever she learned of one that had her life on tape to pass as this was more important right now. Utena forced her eyes to the screen at the sound of Aiko's voice, a whole new wave of emotions filling her up at the sight of him. A look of surprise washing over her face when he said that nobody remembered her. That they had forgotten her. It was enough to bring her further along the depths of despair as that meant none of her friends missed her, because for one reason or another she was forgotten. That was until Anthy spoke.
Utena didn't fully realize just how much she missed her until she heard her voice for the first time in what felt like ages. Watching her leave Aiko's side at long last brought her great joy and the moment to follow where Anthy vowed to find her no matter what was enough to bring more tears to Utena's eyes as she had turned, facing away from the computer screen by the time the music hit and June spoke. Joy, sorrow, anger, they all filled her up like a river. Joy from knowing Anthy was freed and looking for her. Sorrow from knowing that the rest of her friends she's come to love no longer knew who she was and anger from knowing all the things she's done wrong in this world that Anthy would no doubt discover either prior or after finding her.
Before she could fall on her knees a second time the former Champion of Ohtori found June's bed and sat down on edge opposite of where June now sat at the computer. Staring down at the floor in silence not sure where to go from here. Could Anthy find her if she stayed put? Did Utena want Anthy to find her in this condition? It was all too much to take in. Running both hands through her long pink hair she began to think about all the people she killed and why she killed them. Prompting her to turn her head slightly to look at June over her shoulder. "Do you just pop that in and watch it whenever it suits you? My joy, sorrow, anger, private thoughts all there readily available to you in HD. Did you actually enjoy watching me suffer through all of that?"

“Utena?”
June turned her head in time to see Utena's back as she has grown worryingly quiet since seeing the clip. While Utena went over to the bed June removed the DVD from the PC and turned it off before putting the DVD up and looking back over to Utena. She was about to say something until Utena broke the silence catching June off guard with her question.
“Do you just pop that in and watch it whenever it suits you?”
“What?”
“My joy, sorrow, anger, private thoughts all there readily available to you in HD. Did you actually enjoy watching me suffer through all of that?”
June didn't understand where all of this was coming from. All she did was show Utena that Anthy was searching for her, Utena even asked to be shown it in the first place. What did she do wrong?
“Why are you behaving this way? I thought you'd be happy to learn that Anthy is safe.”

"Learning Anthy is safe is one thing!" shouted Utena. She stood up from the bed in the midst of her shouts in order to look June in the eye. "Learning that you have my life on tape is another!" Anger and disappointment filled up Utena's eyes as she stared into June's. She felt betrayed at the notion that June was just one of many people in Moon Valley who's laughed at her misery from episode to episode. It would have been forgiven if June had simply looked it up online but having it in her own living room? That was enough to send Utena into a rage.
Utena rushed at June, brandishing her trusty pocket knife and holding it up against June's throat as she held her in place. A death glare came from Utena's blue eyes now as June would be able to feel the cold metal of the knife's blade rub up against her skin, threatening the state of her life if she did or said anything the user dubbed as wrong. "Answer me," said Utena in a whisper, "did it get you off? Did you enjoy my suffering? Answer me!"

June gasped when Utena grabbed her but the cold sensation hitting her skin from the knife quickly silenced her as she looked towards Utena in sheer terror. Her body trembling.
“U-Utena, please. You're hurting me.”
June was on the verge of tears from the pain being caused to her from the way Utena had grabbed onto her.
“You said you could never hurt me. Please. I never meant to upset you. I was only trying to help.”

Utena's eyes widened at June's reply and then they softened as the realization of another broken promise had reared its ugly head and caused Utena to release her hold on June and slowly back away from her. Utena dropped her knife and looked at June still in shock by her own actions. Even now, when her will was at its strongest, Utena had given in to the urge to cause harm. To bring about pain to those she thought was laughing at her from behind. Not just a danger to herself but to those around her. Utena believed she never should have left the isolation of the forest. She never should have let those human desires for company cloud her better judgment. The judgment that told her she was a monster unworthy of love.
"June... I'm sorry!" Utena spun around and ran towards the window, leaping out of it and climbing down the tree to give June little time to react to what was going on. Her feet firmly touched the ground and she made a run for it through the streets, heading to the woods while evading the patrols of the Isafaro guards on duty and returning to her place in the forest because that where she belonged. Isolated from everything and everyone. Don't follow me, June and don't find me Anthy. It's better for everyone this way.
