Hallowton. A place she regrettably hasn't had a lot of time to visit but being dead gave you a surprising amount of free time. Luca Valentine had closed the eyes of Genesis to her, to them she was just another run of the mill female wandering the streets of Hallowton. They didn't see the trademark Aqua colored hair or the sea blue eyes that has made Luca Valentine so well-known throughout the world. Or the bright warm smile on her young features that could bright up a room.
These quiet streets in the middle of the night reminded her of memories that were not truly her own. A life where “The Seductress” ruled over a city of similar design, luring both the young and the old men of the city to her with the sound of her voice whispering their name, and making their knees weak at the touch of her smooth skin beneath their fingertips. It was a time she longed for, but a time that would never be here again. Running a finger through her long curly hair, Luca Valentine proceeded down the fog covered streets, quietly humming to herself.

A similar figure with similar tastes wandered the streets of Hallowtown that night. Linden Raith, the tall, pale skinned figure with a body created like that of the gods of old. He smiled lightly as he walked, boots thumping softly, made of white leather whereas his clothes were silk of the same colour, the fog rolling around him in the still night air. He threw no parties this eve, for he wished time to think, for once. He'd never been too great at the political games the rest of his family had played, and often acted with his heart, rather than his head. It certainly made his life that much more interesting, if difficult. He'd taken a bit too much from Harry and Thomas' book, often doing what his conscious demanded of him, rather than what his head told him was the most pragmatic course.
It was towns like this in the older days where his family had run things, according to his father. The super naturally sexy and refined Raith family had been operating for a long while, and Lord Raith had many rumors to his exploits in olden days. Wandering the streets of places like this, a soft caress and sweet nothings whispered in the ears of a young maiden lured many from the safety of their homes, to be lost in the dark night to the embrace of their Hunger. He himself avoided fatal feedings, still too human for his family's liking, but his father placed little value on the life of the kine. It mattered little here, however, and so he consoled himself by constantly convincing himself that his actions were right, even if they made for a lonely road. In short order, his memories were disrupted by a gentle humming sound that any ordinary human wouldn't have picked up, and despite his wanting to be alone, and natural caution, he found himself curious as to who else would be out at this late hour.
Much to his surprise, it was a young woman walking the fog filled streets alone and seemingly unarmed. His stormy grey eyes became flecked with a metallic silver as his Hunger fought to surface, to take this woman in the dark of night and claim her as it's own. He forcibly kept it at bay however, and made no move to hide himself as he continued on, between the two of them, they would reach each other in short order. As they approached each other, he remembered his etiquette and offered her a deep bow before speaking, "Good evening, my lady." he says softly, the words slipping from his lips like the soft words of a lover as his brilliant smile seemed warmer than a summers breeze as he looked upon her, his eyes fully grey as his light brown hair curled about his head in an elegantly disheveled manner. "I hope you do not mind the imposition of my presence, for I am surprised at a woman wandering these streets at night." he continues softly, still smiling lightly. It wasn't a creepy predators smile, but one of someone who'd been caught out where he shouldn't be, as if sneaking about himself and not wanting to be known.

As Luca walked she felt something familiar struck her cord, something that used to constantly bubble underneath the surface no matter where she went but has gone absent in her life as she continued to evolve. Hunger. But it was not her own hunger she sensed on this night, it was the hunger of another nearby. Of a predator trying to fight against their nature. A sly smile that curved her lips, only for a nanosecond before it was gone and out of her system. Where others would have been afraid had they actually the power to sense such a thing off of someone, she was flattered and wondered who it was that felt such a need for her.
Luca Valentine wouldn't have to wonder for much long as through the fog she saw a man who looked like he came down from Mount Olympus. A pleasure not only to the eyes but to the ears as well when he finally spoke. Luca smiled at the bow and bringing both her hands down to the skirt on her dress, performing one of her own in greeting.
“I do not mind at all. I often enjoy the serenity that comes over this town at night. I realize not many ladies do so your reaction is only natural. I do not recognize you however. Are you new in town?”

He smiles lightly, sublimating the rising Hunger with a powerful will. "Ah, forgive me, my manners seem to have fled me this fine eve. I am Linden Raith, recently settled here. I oft times take to traveling, so I rarely make an appearance within the town proper." he says with a smile, laughing lightly. She certainly was lovely enough, and he didn't honestly know if she was from this town as well, but he was more than willing to ask. "If you would forgive my impertinence, I've not seen such beauty roaming these streets, let alone unescorted! Are you from here yourself? Or do you travel as I do? I'd surely remember you my lady." he says with another brilliant smile, grey eyes flashing with humor, a few metallic specks highlighting the color to them.
He smiles again as a light breeze kicks up, making his hair dance in the moonlight, sending a cascade of shadows across his features, and he lifted a hand to gently clear the hair from his eyes as he returned his smile to the woman before him. "It seems nature itself enjoys it's little games, always playing with people." he says with a chuckle. He slips his hands into his pockets, eyes peering through the shadows the fog created, ensuring no unwanted surprises leaped out at them. He sensed something odd to the woman giving him her fine company this evening, but he couldn't place it. It was as if there was more to her than the simple, albeit attractive, woman before him. He shakes his head and mentally clears it away. It was of no matter to him, there was no love hanging about her, so there was as of yet no issue. He had no plans to feed from her, but things might move to that point, for mutual companionship on a cold night.
He smiles lightly, offering her his arm as he did so in a gallant gesture, "Would you care to walk my lady? I'd be honoured by the continued grace of your presence this evening." he says lightly, smiling gently at her. He wondered if she'd willingly travel alone into the foggy night with a stranger, a man at that, but it wasn't as if either of them were armed as far as he could tell. That would offer her some measure of comfort he believed, though whether she believed that or not he couldn't tell. He wasn't big on the mind mojo that some of his family employed. He patiently awaited her response however, the wind gently rolling around him and swaying his hair as he waited, smiling despite the chill of the night air. If she took his arm, she would find nothing odd to him except that he was still warm, as his body gave off more heat than a normal person usually would, and apparently woman loved it on a cold night. Even if they were already...engaged, in other...heated, activities.

Luca could feel the powerful will that radiated off of the man, holding down the hunger like a rabid animal that wanted to maul her for even daring to stand before her on this fine night. It intrigued her and made her wonder just what it would take to break through the will. To make him submit to the very desire he was trying so hard to keep at bay. Luca has shown a remarkable patience in the past, knowing she had all the time in the world to get what she wanted, and knowing that the payoff was always worth the wait.
“Luca Valentine. It is a pleasure to meet you, Mister Raith.
Her voice was as soft and delicate as the rest of her body, something that Linden would have noticed by now had he been paying close enough attention. Everything about her was subtle and mysterious, revealing only bits and pieces of herself as time went on. Her fragrance would reach his nostrils now, becoming more powerful as the wind began to slightly blow through the two of them.
“You flatter me, Mister Raith. No I do not come from here but I am a native to this world if that's what you mean.”
Her curly hair slowly danced in the wind as the ruffles on her teal colored dress moved slightly and the smell of her sweet perfume continued to drift through the cold air of Hallowton, right in the direction of the male smiling towards her, as if even nature was trying to bright him to her.
“Indeed it does.”
Luca's eyes looked towards the arm he offered to her now, smiling at the gesture as she gladly accepted and wrapped her arm around his. Unlike his warm skin hers was cold, as one could only expect due to the weather conditions around them. Giving him the pleasure of warming her body up as she gasped in surprise at how warm he was. She quickly readjusted herself and offered him an apologetic look.
“Perhaps I should have worn a jacket.”

He smiles as she takes his arm, his eyes turning a few shades more metallic as he looked away, before looking back and smiling at her. "Luca Valentine? A lovely name for such a lovely lady." he says with a laugh, leading them into the night. He had no destination in mind as of yet, but merely wished to walk and enjoy the night. It felt good to be human, to deny his very being, at least on occasion. He could smell her scent, a strangely comforting aroma that he found quite enchanting, and somewhat unexpected for this world. It somehow reminded him of home. For some reason, he found himself willing to relax around her. It was dangerous, and it put his mental defenses on edge. Something about her was off, and he was still unable to determine it.
He smiles a bit as she starts at the heat of his body, "I don't mind in the least my dear, I quite enjoy being able to offer the comfort of warmth on a chilly night." he says with a smile. "Was there somewhere you wished to travel to? Or merely out enjoying the evening?" he inquires curiously, wondering what it was about her that seemed off. Whatever it was, it seemed pointless however, as he was unconcerned for any plans she might have. His mind wanders from this to note the softness to her skin touching his, and his Hunger roared it's demands within his mind, and with an almost contemptuous effort, slammed it from his mind, letting it's rage defeat it. He smiles lightly as it simmers in the mental prison he constructed for it, turning his mind back to his companion, smiling lightly at her again.
"It is certainly a fine evening, made even more so by your pleasurable company. Perhaps once this night ends, you'd care to visit me again some time?" he says with a smile, "Or, if you wished, I could visit you, as it would be more proper, I suppose." he says with a light laugh. "It matters little at this junction I suppose, we still have the whole night before us, to do as we please." he says with a smile, several things leaping to mind they could do to occupy their night, and warm her up as well, and his Hunger purred it's approval at the thoughts. He brushed it away as it settled in to wait, deciding patience was it's best course for now. They both were curious to see where the night would lead them.

While it didn't show on her face Luca Valentine had her guard up at all times. Through the centuries the woman in teal learned how to expect trouble without fully acknowledging it and appearing completely oblivious to the fact in order to lure one into a false sense of security. It was just one of many things she learned through the years when it came to being manipulative. It was a needed feat for those that wished to survive. Few of her kind was cunning enough to last to the big one, O, O anymore. It was quite the pity. But only the strong survived after all.
“How do you stay so warm? You must tell me your secret.”
Luca spoke with a smile as Linden asked his next question.
“Just a stroll. I have no preset designation but I'm not opposed to suggestions. It has been a while since my last visit.”
A couple centuries in fact but he didn't need to know that. A blush came over her facial features as Linden once again complimented her and then offered to meet up again after the night was over.
“Are you always this flattering to the ladies you meet?”

He chuckles lightly, placing a hand against his chest, feigning an injured look. "You wound me my lady, implying I have such secrets." he says with a theatrical sigh. "Very well, I shall concede to you the truth of the matter. I am abnormal. No doctors have found an explanation for it, but I've been blessed with a higher than average body temperature, and I retain heat quite well." he says with a smile, the old curiosity returning as to why he ran a higher temperature. Just one of those little quirks that he'd never understand. Like the twist of fate that landed him in the middle of a family like his, and gave one incubus a conscious. God knew that one still sent him for a loop still, perhaps one day he would figure that out as well.
"I am only this flattering to those that deserve it. I travel far and wide, ever seeking to expand my own horizons. Thus, when faced by such beauty, I can be considered an expert on the subject, for I've seen many women, and few are as fair as thee." he says with a light smile dancing along his lips. She certainly was fair, of that there was no doubt, but beyond that, she was very intriguing. She was calm and collected, even when faced by a potentially hostile young man alone on the foggy streets, and parried and riposted with the best of them in the banter department, certainly a very intriguing young woman. Beautiful, intelligent, everything someone like him was looking for, the perfect companion. Or the perfect assassin. That alone almost made him want to claim her and have done with it, but it wasn't justification enough to his mind.
"I apologize, but I've not any suggestions to offer myself, I don't travel around the city much." he says with a smile and light chuckle. "Let us just wander then, and see where the night takes us. Whatever is has in store, I'm sure it shall be more than bearable in your company." he says with another brilliant flash of his pearly whites. At this rate, he'd begin to blind people. He leads them down another street, idly wandering the foggy night, wishing he could see the stars above. They always brought a sense of solace and comfort to him for some reason, and he felt he could use it on a night like this. Around this woman, he seemed both relaxed, yet ill at ease, and it disturbed him profoundly. "What of you my lady, any secrets you're hiding?" he teases with a light smile, using it as a fishing trip as well. Best to learn all he could after all.

“Abnormal?”
Luca tilted her head and offered a curious look to Linden. It wasn't one of judgment or worry, but simply one of curiosity and intrigue. Luca's interest in the young male gradually increased with the more time the two of them spent together. She leaned up against him as they continued to walk, her smile growing at the compliments that left his lips, her neck now plainly visible and ripe for the picking and it appeared she was slowly starting to let down her guard around Linden.
“You certainly know all the right things to say.”
Luca agreed to just wander and see where the night would take them, enjoying the ride so far. When he asked if she had any secrets of her own she simply looked up and smiled as they made eye contact again, as if to say, “wouldn't you like to know.” As the walk continue the night in Hallowton was starting to drop lower in temperature, causing Luca to rub up close to Linden for warmth, offering plenty of her own warmth for him in return before speaking,
“I feel it is nearing the end of our walk. Mister Raith, you've been so wonderful to me tonight. Will you walk me home?”
