Personality: A very bitter woman, cold and jaded, nothing more than a shadow of her former self. A very pessimistic woman with a very heavy heart, most of her comments tend to be rather macabre.
Special Abilities: As a summoner during a time of war, Nevena was taught very basic white magic;
Cure (Healing properties, heals minor wounds), Esuna (Cures status ailments), Protect (Reduces Physical damage), Shell (reduces magical damage), Blind (Blinds the target), Silence(Mutes the target, in hopes of preventing magic - no effect save for loss of voice if magic does not require speaking), and Sleep (Puts target to sleep)
As one of the original summoners to live when the temples were first established, she can only summon the original summons;

History:
Prior to the outbreak of the Machina War, Nevena had a simple family consisting of her husband and single son and herself. When the war began though, due to her summoning abilities, she, like all other summoners were sent to the front lines to do battle against the Machina from Bevelle.When the whispers of Yevon's plan reached her though, Nevena abandoned her post to return to her husband (not drafted due to illness) and child; even if they were to become a dream it would not be the same.
After a short fight with her husband, a debate on self or people, Nevena took her child to leave her husband behind while he offered his own body and soul to create Dream Zanarkand. And after the summoning began and continued, it seemed as if half of the city's population was gone. And after the attack by the armored Dream Zanarkand, the city which seemed to never sleep became silent. Only a handful of people survived the slaughter and annihilation of the true Zanarkand including Nevena, her child, and Yunalesca.
Guilt ridden due to her abandoning her husband, realizing that he would forever be trapped in a dreaming state to continue their lives, she followed Yunalesca's teachings of attempting to ensure that Sin would forever remain and thus, the Dream Zanarkand would be forever protected. When Bevelle finally bought into offering praise to Yevon and began establishing temples, Yunalesca began to teach what she could to the remaining summoners.
The first temple was created in Besaid and thus the first fayth was created from a girl. The second, a young man gave his life. Another man was the next. A priestess from a temple. One more was to be placed in Bevelle, to ensure that they would offer their praise, ensure that they continued the cycle.
Nevena was to step forward and become the fayth for Bevelle; however, her fears and concerns, her guilt, would prevent her from being a willing being to surrender to the dream. Her child though was eager to see the dream; to see his father and to see his mother stop worrying, and with the whispers of Yunalesca stuck in the back of his mind, the boy volunteered against his mother's wishes. There was hardly any hesitation in the decision to use the boy for the fayth though creating it was a different story as that task was left to his mother.
It took several days, but eventually Nevena created the fayth in nearly the same manner in which Yunalesca and Seymour would later create their final summons only left with the final words "Don't cry," from her son as well as the Hymn sung in his voice.
To fulfill her duty as a summoner, she summoned the aeon created from her son and went to battle with Sin as if her summon was stronger, it should take the place of the current Sin. However, while her summon did harm Sin, since it was not made in the exact way of a Final Aeon, Bahamut fell in battle as did the summoner.
