[Edits to the rules available in red.
1.) Do not at any time god mode. God modding is when you completely ignore your weaknesses and do things your character wouldn’t be capable of doing. Everyone here, no matter how unbeatable they appear to be, can be, and most likely will at some point, be defeated.
2.) In addition to god modding do not at any time insert "Out of Character" knowledge or feelings into your character. You and your character are two separate entities. Just because you know something about another character, or feel a certain way about another player, doesn't mean your character should have that knowledge or feel the same way about another player's character as you do about the player. Keep character in character.
3.) Respect the forum and those on it by keeping personal disputes private. Conflicts amongst members can be handled however they see fit as long as it’s kept off my forum. That means I don’t want to see your personal drama spilling in either the RP section or General section of this forum otherwise you’ll have me to deal with it.
4.) To begin role playing you must first create a character in our Character Creation board, follow the template we provide and then await approval from a member of staff. Canon characters you have to choose from include characters from, yet not limited to, Hellsing, Devil May Cry, Final Fantasy, Metal Gear Solid and Resident Evil. You can also make your own Original Character from a world you created, a canon world that already exists or any of the original worlds already available at Dead on Arrival.
5.) Face claims – there are none. Two people can have the same face claim. Since this story involves various dimensions being linked together chances are you can come across someone who looks like you without being you. However if we have a ridiculous amount of characters using the same face claim (canons excluded) then I will be putting a cap on that playby.
6.) Do not spam the forum with pointless one liners or links.
7.) This site rating is PG-13, that means no intense detailed sex scenes nor pictures of nudity or pornographic images. Go download porn and risk your computer to various amounts of spyware if you’re that horny.
7.2.) If anything is about to lead to a sexual encounter between two characters it's to be time skipped immediately.
8.) I strongly advise that you take the time to review the ProBoards Term of Service Agreement if you haven’t already.
Failure to abide by the rules of the forum can and will result in warnings and punishments according to the violated rules. As owner I hold the right to ban any registered user for any reason I wish or no reason, at my discretion, as long as I abide by the Term of Service Agreement. |

Lately there has been some confusion as to what qualifies as a PG-13 post and what doesn't. Well unfortunately PG-13 doesn't just apply for sex scenes but also includes violence and strong language. The rating is also based off the Motion Picture Association of America so it doesn't matter if the film got a different rating out of the country. If it has an R in America for violence the content is not appropriate for this forum.
Example of PG-13 movies to give you an idea of the type of content allowed are as followed:
Batman Begins
Mortal Kombat
Mortal Kombat Annihilation
Spider-Man 1, 2 & 3
The Dark Knight
The Grudge
Transformers 1, 2 & 3
In addition you can have RPs based off R rated films like say The Matrix, Resident Evil and Silent Hill, but the posts themselves still must be PG-13.
If you still doubt whether or not your post is PG-13 ask yourself the following question, "If I had a 13 year old child would I want them reading this?" if the answer is no then it's most likely not acceptable.

From now on you may not kill another member's character unless you have their expressed consent or an agreement was made beforehand. Anyone caught in violation of this will be warned and the killing post deleted.
