A bump in the night, horrors about. The water tastes funny, and the air feels rather stale at the moment. This small shack which this man resides is filled with the echo of guttural growls and the shuffle of dragging limbs. Those outside the shack covered with their remnant scraps of clothing take notice to their hobo king shrieking about in the one room shack.
The first of them bangs on the door, "Clavier? Clavier are you alright?" BANG! The door bolts open and the man known as 'Clavier' hurtles out onto the homeless fellow ripping at his throat. This is part one of a much larger picture...
Across town, a woman sits in her dining room staring down at her plate of food which was empty moments before she let her guts go blowing chunks across the table. Her husband and child get up to see what's wrong with her as she begins to hiss and twitch.
As the husband grabs her arm to pull her in she pounces on him taking a chunk of his face with her teeth. Her child screams and bolts for the living room, but the mother shuffles after him. The neighbors in the apartments next to them take notice and barge in, a scream of terror and a blood apartment later comes near silence except for growling. Even so, this is a small start to a larger picture...
She walks the street followed by this legion of insane people, homeless and middle class, they had killed their family and made them apart of her army. In a swift action to take control of a small region within this city she releases her army upon the many whom live here.
And so begins an undead revolution. . . Part 1.
(If any get involved with this thread I'll be playing storyteller for the undead in a survivor horror thread. Feel free to start where ever you wish, be very clear in your first post so I can detail the surrounding threat as it stands adjacent from you.)

Garrus was already stationed in an unoccupied room of the apartment building sitting directly across the one that was now harboring a member of the undead, something that Garrus had very little experience in but had faced rather similar creatures before. Like all things they were usually fatal if you stuck to one basic guideline: shoot them in the head. Archangel aimed the M-29 Incisor towards the living dead and fired towards its head, the three shot burst being powerful enough to explode the entire top half and cause even more panic in the witnesses around where the zombie once stood. At least they would still be alive, for now.
Now with the use of his scope Garrus scanned the surrounding area looking to find the source of whatever it was going on now. A freak accident, follies of the corrupt government or a third party group trying to take over part of the region? First it was giant machines using this place as a battlefield now it was strange looking creatures with a taste for human flesh. It both reminded him of home and showed him just how much different this place really was.

An Isafaro helicopter circled in the air. "A zombie attack? Cliche and lame." He looked over the scene "Sir?" The soldier standing next to him looked up, his face covered by a full helmet, the man seeing his own reflection in the mirror-tinted visor. "Well of all the things that could spring up I was expecting draft dodgers or protesters, but no... we get godamn Zombies. Like a pack of do-nothing shamblers can do anything against Isafaro Tech." The man strapped a rather huge shield to himself, two other soldiers affixing a large pack to his body. He grabbed a rather clunky double-ended sword and looked out the chopper's side door. "I got this, throw the switch." The man looked to the pilot, another soldier in a full helmet. "The army is mobilizing as we speak, expect armor assets and infantry within half an hour." The man gave a thumbs up then dived out of the door.
He counted in his head. 1... 2... 3... the air whipped around his head, his body spread out to catch the wind, though such an action would be futile with his heavy gear. 4... 5... 6... The sound of the rushing wind whistled through his ears and through that black-white hair of his. He saw the ground and those zombies getting closer. 7... 8... 9... He heard the pack start beeping, he had to throw the switch soon. A guy was already down there opening fire on the crowd of slackjaws. 10!
He smacked the main catch, two huge wings unfolded, made from extra-light materials. A loud 'whoosh' filled the air as the packs turbines kicked in, There was a sudden lurch as he gained a burst of forward momentum. The wings caught the air and what was a free-fall turned into a high-speed glide. He saw the advancing horde, how big it was, and how easy it would be for him to take them out. He flipped the safety switches and started to rev up his shield.
The turbine began to glow as he circled slightly more, projecting a light from both the back and the bottom of the shield. The experimental energy weapon kicked in and a loud, violent hum filled the air, like pissed off whale song. A huge gout of flickering and sparking plasma vomited forth from the bottom of the shield, from the barrel of the weapon built into the thing. The force was enough to push him back up into the air as the crackling energies rained down onto the ghouls from above, melting pavement and scorching earth.

The size of the horde was questionable. On ground every street in the area was filled with people, a mixture of civilians and infection, the buildings themselves seemed to be pouring out crazies into the area. This wasn't just a zombie virus, it being to affect people differently. Some simply went mad and began rampaging, but they retained a living body and the will to use weapons and intel, but they were drove by anger. Others were shambling corpses, their source was all the same, infected water. Where one would scope this out however was a different problem.
Instead, Garrus's eyes would fall upon another, fully cloaked, ten foot tall, wearing a full re-breather gas mask holding in it's left hand what could only be described as a long lance like weapon. It's handle was outfitted with a grip that seemed to have slots to rotate said handle. But this wasn't just the only large creature in the field. Other mutations of the population randomly sprouted, where an infected was previously walking suddenly mutation would occur and it would become grotesque and more deadly by the second.
There was no order to how these creatures moved. Only the large cloaked being and a single woman standing on a mildly high building looking down on the horror seemed to retain a sane approach to this. In all respect now, the large being would be focusing more so to the sky as the area around him littered with giblets in a blood rain storm caused by his carnage.

Imai and Kragen drove into the streets of the region only to be met by the people now motivated by rage, wrecking everything they see and now they were trying to wreck the vehicle inside. Imai first thought was another riot but this one appeared to be far more violent, and the participants, far more deadly. She had no choice but to activate the weapons on the front of the vehicle resembling a car and gun down the people on the road that got in their way.
“Something’s not right here. I’ve seen riots before but nothing like this. We can’t stay on the main roads.”
Taking a right Imai got them off the main streets and used side roads to get around them for now, expecting to run into a couple of roadblocks set up by Vulture troops. A radio from inside the vehicle was picking up transmissions between Vulture foot soldiers already on site. The vehicle being one of their patrol vehicles.
“Hello? Is there anyone out there!? We’re surrounded! Some of these things aren’t even human! They just keep moving! They just keep moving! AHHHHHHHHHH!”
Gunshots could be heard on the other line until dead silence. Imai looked over to Kragen before putting her eyes back on the road.
“Sounds like some of Vulture’s bioweapons got loose. They’ll be sealing off the entire region soon while they attempt to neutralize them. Nothing get in or out. Bad for us, my base is just outside the region. We’ll be trapped here.”

"Madness." It was as clear as day. If this city was ever civilized those days were long behind them. Lost in corruption and now madness. Kragen drew his pistol when the crazies surrounded them and not a moment too soon as one managed to smash in the window while Imai was trying to fight their way through. He quickly shot the man point blank in the head after breaking the window then looked back to Imai once they were in the clear. "Reminds me of home."
People of earth could get very violent and kill each other for little to no reason. Kragen looked to the radio he overlooked before when the messages started flowing in and Imai explained what she thought was going on, the word "bioweapon" standing out amongst her words. "Bioweapon?" The ex-soldier was starting to wonder how deep the rabbit hole here went.

Jaden was quite happy. Sure he was bummed about being here, wherever he was actually, but you couldn’t let that get him down. He had been through worse. He would find a way out of this, but he couldn’t do it on an empty stomach could he? So here was enjoying his meal when all of a sudden people started acting like they shouldn’t it was like the duel ghouls all over again. You know minus the creepy way they talked and the lack of duel disk, but he noticed when they started walking over to him, not wanting a fight Jaden tried being friendly. ”Hey guys theres enough for all of us here. No need to push.” he said taking a step back. He didn’t want to offend anyone. ”Jaden, these people. They aren't normal. Be careful.” Jaden looked at her while she was speaking when she was done he turned his attention back to the zombies for lack of a better word his eyes suddenly taking on a serious look to them. ”In that case.” he said trailing off as his he hit the button to start his duel disk. ”These Zombies better get their game on.” he said as it unfolded and he placed a single card on it. Flame Wingman appeared in the small area they were in. ”Wingman do your thing.” he said as Wingmand transported to the zombies they looked at it for a moment as it opened it’s hand and ball of flame appeared engulfing them, it didn’t kill them just knocked them out. Unfortunately it also caught some of the surrounding furniture on fire. Jaden quickly pulled out another card from his deck. ”Elemental Hero Bubbleman, put out that fire.” he said as the Hero aimed his blaster at is and fired the bubbles going into the fire, but it wasn’t enough. Jaden pulled out the next card. “Bubble Blaster. That should give you enough power.” he said it now became a stream of water. After a bit longer the fire was put out. Jaden let the spirts fade and put the cards back in his deck. ”Good work guys. Now to see just whats going on here.” he said running out of the place. Hopefully there wouldn’t be another person controlling them all that he’d have to beat. Man was that ever getting old. He slowly looked both ways. Then Winged Kuriboh appeared beside him. ”Hey, I don’t suppose you know which way to go?” Jaden asked. ”Kuri" it said before heading off. Translation “Follow me.” Jaden did, his pal hadn’t let him down before and he doubted he would start now. And so Jaden followed his friend towards the main streets. Garrus' scope fell upon the monster of a man down in the hoards below. It was a beast unlike any he has ever seen before and considering the type of things he's seen in his lifetime, that was saying something. Everything from the gas mask to the weapon in his hand did not go unnoticed as the turian eyed him up and down. Intriguing how so far the first one to show any signs of sanity was the one who looked the least bit normal. His scope would then move towards a woman who were looking down at the looming chaos from a building until his scope eyed... another sniper aiming right for him!
The turian was quick to roll out of the way and take cover near the opened window as the mad-sniper missed. Things would quickly only go from bad to worst for Garrus as the room he was in was filling up with more crazies looking to take them down. With very few options left available to him the turian raised the M-15 Vindicator and made himself a path through the opposing forces, which went down very quickly as even the weapons from his space and time proved to be more advanced than the more modern setting of Isafaro. Rushing out into the hallway Garrus proceeded down to the below floors until he found himself surrounded by crazies from both side. He couldn't go down and he couldn't go up, and there were too many for even him to blast through. Only way out was the window.
Garrus made a run for it, leaping out through the window, of course not before making sure he wasn't high up enough for the fall to kill him. He fell down quickly through the air, setting himself up to make perfect use of his armor but much to his surprise, and misfortune, the vehicle being drove by Imai would come by just in time for him to bounce off the hood of it and fall down onto the road near it, rolling about and finally landing on his back looking up to the dark infested skies of the city. Admittedly, not one of his more brighter ideas.

Stripes Circled around for another pass, the wings of his glide-pack catching on updrafts from vents within the streets and rooftops of the city. He saw the woman and cloaked man but paid them no mind... They were probably just weirdos using this opportunity to skimp on curfew, collecting that kind of rabble was grunt work and Stripes was a prototype, he was the future! He moved the glider and dipped down, pulling up to gain speed as his turbine-cannon charged up again. As Stripes made his second pass another massive gout of molten flame erupted from his shield, scorching Ghoul and Civilian alike into smoke and ash in his second pass. The blast had many casualties but was still just another straw on the camel's back. The army didn't even seem to balk as new ghouls moved to take the places opened up by his energy weapon. Fortunately, he got a radio signal, a voice crackling in his ear as the transceiver implanted in his head picked up the signal. "Armor Wing Seven, moving down Main and at Robin Cross, incursion within sight. Requesting permission to fire." "Armor Wing Seven this is FrontComm, you have permission. I repeat, weapons hot, you have permission to fire." And with that General Vulture's 7th Armored Walker Division rounded the corner, emblazonned in the dark red-and-grey pattern and stamped with the black Isafaro Shield insignia. The first eight mechs formed up a battle line, their arm mounted machine gun batteries opening fire and filling the streets with a tsunami of hot lead. The bullets started to rip into the horde, shots flaying bodies but not dropping them, though occasionally there was a massive spray of read as a bullet ruptured a cranium and sent a ghoul down. Unfortunately for Garrus, Imai, and Kragen, the mechs were on one side and the ghoul horde on the other. They were going to be caught in a crossfire as Stripes turned, his backpack closing in as he jammed his sword into the wall of a building, hanging on and looking over the scene from four stories up.

Imai was about to explain about Isafaro secret Bioweapons project before she heard something hit the hood of her vehicle. Quickly slamming on the brakes the vehicle came to an abrupt stop as Imai left and ran over to the alien life-form, nothing she immediately recognized automatically making her assume it was from another realm, that and the armor, unless it was another result of Vulture’s experiments with the ship that boost their technology 200 years in advanced, to see if it was okay. Still practicing caution however as she had no idea whether or not the thing could be trusted or not. Checking up on the sentinel being would be cut short however as a mech from the Crimson Vulture made it way into the side streets to purge any infected from the area. Unluckily for her it would just assume they are that infected and shoot them down.
In an attempt to help both her and the Turian Imai held up a shield using her biotics but it wouldn’t hold out for long. Knowing this Imai turned back to Kragen who was in a better position to use the armed vehicle to take out that mech by scaling the machine to open up the cockpit then taking out the pilot so they could confiscate a mech for themselves. One of them would then be able to blend in with the others while scouting out more of the infected area.
“Kragen, get that cockpit open! I can’t hold this shield up for much longer!”

Kragen looked up when the sound of something hitting the hood occurred. Imai was quick to stop and get out to check up on the thing while the ex-soldier decided to stay near the vehicle just in case of an emergency. An emergency that would happen sooner than expected even by his paranoid way of thinking. Hearing what Imai has said Kragen quickly entered back into the vehicle and shot at the mech, only doing enough damage to force open the cockpit and granting Imai's the chance to eliminate the pilot.

As soon as the cockpit was opened the pilot was shot in the head, his body falling out of the machine and hitting the ground hard but it was not Imai who performed this action. It was the turian still lying down on the ground with his weapon raised. After Imai had chose to protect him and Kragen acted to weaken the machine Garrus decided to take the shot as soon as the cockpit opened. Standing up, the turian made sure to show he was not a threat to the two, well, as long as they in turn didn't prove to be a threat to him. Garrus Vakarian Thank you. I wasn't expecting on running into a biotic here. I'm Garrus Vakarian. Do either of you know what's going on?

Jaden followed his duel spirit to the end of the alleyway and poked his head out looking both ways with caution. ”Seems clear.” he said taking a step out. Now the major question. Where to go. He looked down at his duel disk. Even with all this happening he wasn’t afraid of what was going to happen. It would be okay, after all he had his pals with him. And nothing would get through them. But now which way, all the streets had these, duel ghouls. That’s what he would call them until he came up with a better name. ”Aw, man what now? It’s not like I can keep running around forever.” he said trying to figure out with way to go when Pharaoh rubbed against his leg. ”Oh, do you know which way to go?” he asked. Pharaoh just yawned as a yellow orb slipped out of his mouth. A semi-transparent man appeared from that form. ”Profosser Banner?” he asked. Not that he was unhappy to see him, but why exactly now? He wondered if the duel ghouls would go after Pharaoh or not. That might make his own job harder. ”Jaden, these people are not normal.” he said. ”Thanks for the tip, but I kinda already knew that.” he said looking down at his duel disk. ”I mean how couldn’t I? It’s like Yubel all over. Except this time I’m not letting anyone down.” he said a look of determination crossing his face. "And do you have a problem with that? I did what I had to protect you." she said. "I'm not blaming you just saying." Jaden said to his other half turning to face Professor Banner again. ”No, they are not themselves. They have been infected with a bio-weapon.” Jaden pasued. He was used to dealing sprits and people disappearing from the world. This way of fighting was entirely new to him. Jaden stopped he didn’t know what he meant. ”Bioweapons?” Jaden asked just a bit confused. Professor Banner nodded. ”Yes Jaden. A weapon that affects the way a person thinks.” he said. A weapon that affects the way a person thinks? In that case it really was like the duel ghouls. ”So it really is like the duel ghouls then. I really gotta find the one in charge and take them out. And my friends are ready to go.” he said readying his duel disk. ”Jaden, be careful.” he said before Pharaoh looked up at the orb jumped and swallowed it whole. And Jaden was alone again. ”Bio weapons…..” Jaden trailed off. ”I will save everyone here to.” he resolved. ”And my friends are right here waiting to help.” he said. Now it was all up to Kurbioh. He was trusting his friend to tell him which way to go. ”Which way pal?” he asked as it took off Jaden following close behind. He knew what she was? Unless Garrus was some kind of escaped bioweapon Imai couldn’t make sense out of how he could be from this realm. He didn’t give off a demon vibe either and she really didn’t have a whole lot of time to talk to find out more.
“While we don’t know the direct source we have reason to believe one of Isafaro’s bioweapons got free and started reeking havoc on the city. I’m confiscating the mech so I can cover more ground.”

Kragen walked up to the two, eyes set upon the elephant in the room as he asked the question Imai did not have time for. "What are you?" Nothing was off limits to the ex-soldier. At times even the smallest of details could mean all the difference between life and death.
