"Just all of it," The left side of Argus' mouth curled into a crooked smile, "there's no shame in crying because of this. I balled like an infant countless times while trying to control the Nightmare. Now that I know where you are, we'll continue at this level and I'll gradually add onto it." The hybrid placed a hand on her shoulder and turned her to the rest of the city within the illusion. Her work was indeed successful; there were no zombies or other terrors that could indicate this wasn't real. For her first attempt at bending it to her will it was a good start.
"Just so you know, I do not expect you to control this right away. It's difficult, it takes time and a lot of effort. I do mean a lot of the latter." Argus removed his hand from Chloe's shoulder and swept an arm out. Scaled demons, humanoid in appearance, sprouted up from the dust and began running around the city for places to loot. "Alright, try to make them disappear like you did with the zombies. Take your time, concentrate and don't let yourself get upset if you can't get it the first time." The hybrid stepped aside.

Argus. Balled like an infant? Chloe thought about that mental image for a moment and couldn't help but let out half a laugh. He was the strongest man she's came to know in recent years and the idea that he balled like an infant, Chloe just couldn't help but laugh at the idea. "I'm sorry I just- I'm sorry." Chloe covered her mouth to stop herself from laughing any further. Not wanting to offend him. Chloe then came to realize he had a hand on her shoulder, she blushed. Feeling strangely warm by his touch, tempted to embrace him further but the mood wasn't right. She did just laugh at him not two seconds earlier.
Suddenly the field began to change again and this time around it was demons instead of zombies. Chloe worked to maintain her nerves, trying hard to concentrate but not to strain herself in the process. The thought of Argus crying kept popping up in her mind and every time she tried to concentrate on something else it just kept sticking to the back of her mind until before she knew it, there was a crying Argus down on the ground with all the demons stopping for a minute to look at him. Chloe covered her mouth and backed away in shock and embarrassment as she looked back over to Argus. "I'm...I'm so sorry!" One demon tried killing the crying Argus but he just kept crying, and crying, and crying until finally the demon killed himself to be rid of the agony. Speaking of dying, Chloe felt like she could die right now herself.

"It's okay. I know it's hard to believe but I was directly infected from Veran--it was a horrid time. Fortunately I can look back on it and laugh along," Argus chuckled, "it is a funny image. Now, go for it."
Thus far, so good, until he saw an image of himself crying on the ground by the demons. He curled his fingers into a fist and placed it over his mouth to stop himself from busting up laughing. Chloe's apologizing wasn't helping matters much for him and it was evident in his squinted eyes that the effort was failing miserably. For the first time in a long time, he nearly doubled over laughing.
"No--! No it's fine just--!" The poor guy couldn't finish a sentence. Chloe's impression of him "balling like an infant" was too hilarious for him to not laugh. "I'm sorry. I swear I'm not laughing directly at you! Just..." Argus puffed out a sigh and brushed back his hair. Composure was regained. "I needed that. Thank you." He waved his hand and the image of him crying dissipated in a puff of smoke, "Do you want to keep going tonight? Progress was made but I don't want you going too fast."

Chloe felt ashamed at first but when she realized how happy it was making Argus, she smiled. It made her happy to think that she made him feel so happy. When he asked his question Chloe thought on it for a moment before walking up to Argus and gently taking his hands into hers and smiling up at him. Hoping she wasn't coming across as too bold. "Actually I was hoping you and I could talk a little. I wanted to learn more about you. All I know is you're Amoura male counterpart, your experience with the nightmares and you look damn fine in a tuxedo." Chloe couldn't believe she said that last bit. Oh well, no point in worrying about boldness now. "Perhaps there's someplace more private we can go to to talk? I feel bad using Michael and Sazan's place so much."

Argus tilted his head and quirked a brow at Chloe's sudden act of taking his hand. Looked good in a tuxedo? By the gods this reminded him of the time Marcus was desperately trying to get into his pants! That encounter was disturbing on so many levels and even more so when he tried to kiss him. Chloe wasn't Marcus; thank God.
"Uhm," The Nightmare scene faded, "well no one else is at Michael's house so I think we'd just be fine in there." The words "private" with the opposite gender never sat well with Argus, given his past experiences. "But...what would you want to know?"

Argus didn't get the subtle hint but Chloe was afraid to be more forward in fear of scaring him off, she could already sense his nerves shaking by her previous action and comments. It's what led her to decide to let go of his hands and take a step backward even though she didn't want to. "Well..." Chloe thought for a moment, not wanting to pry though at the same time interested in learning everything she could about him. "How old are you? What was your home like? You know, the basics. You'll let me know if I go too far won't you? I don't want you to feel uncomfortable." Chloe looked down to her feet, suddenly coming off more shy than usual. It felt like she was in highschool again with a boy she liked, only this time she could act on it instead of secluding herself and now she didn't know how to go about it. "You're welcomed to ask me stuff too...if you want..."

"Well, I suppose but the age part I'm unfamiliar with. I'm told I'm well over two hundred, perhaps more, but much of my life was spent in hell with the occasional visit to the mortal world to carry out Mundus' wishes." Argus turned his head to look at the moon, closed his eyes and the cool night breeze brushed past them. It was a soothing evening, aside from the earlier trouble with the Nightmare training; nights like these felt rare in his book. "And to clarify: Mundus was Lucifer, the angel that fell from grace. It's why Amoura and I have so much power at our disposal: we are part divine but we aren't tainted like him." The hybrid opened his eyes, "Our mother was a Nosferatu. He was aiming to create a unique breed of creature that would be superior to the rest of his soldiers. However, the demonic genetics overpowered that of the vampire; it failed." The winds were picking up. Argus' nose twitched and he squinted his eyes at the horizon--a storm was brewing. Clouds were crawling under the star-lit sky and will soon overpower the moon. It didn't seem to bother him.
"For decades I served by Mundus' side after Sparda left. I didn't care who I killed. If dad requested it, it was done without question. My sister, or rather my version of Michael, helped me to see that my choices were wrong. I betrayed my father and killed my mother along with my siblings. I fear my story isn't a happy one and it may depress you." Argus frowned at Chloe. Patches of clouds began blotting out the light and a light rain fell from the heavens. Thunder roared in the distance.

"You're the devil's son?" If she wasn't going to hell on principle before she certainly was now. Chloe noted the sudden change in weather and how it seems like Mother Nature was changing to coincide with the sadness of Argus' story. Chloe couldn't speak for the hybrid but she found it to be very creepy but looking down from the rooftop, seeing the rain drops that hit the ground and the forming of mud puddles Chloe started to feel a sudden wave of peace wash over her before looking back to Argus. "Have you ever jumped in a mud puddle?"

"Eeeee-yup." Argus snorted as rain began to pour from the sky, gradually soaking him. There was no need for warmth for a vampire but he didn't like water. With his hair now wet and matted to his face, he pushed it aside as best as he could and replied to Chloe's question, "Never been a fan. I usually avoid water unless I need a shower." The water stopped falling on him when he formed a telekinetic shield above both.
"But if you want to, feel free. I'll keep the rain off you while you have fun."

Chloe walked up to Argus, an innocent smile on her face at first as she took him by the hands. That innocent smile quickly grew into a sly one as, without any warning, she jumped off the rooftop pulling the hybrid down with her. The two fell through the air and splashed right into a mud puddle on the ground just outside of the house. Now, covered in mud, all Chloe could do was laugh and stick her tongue out at Argus before playfully running away from him through the rain. If there was any rage left inside of her it had since been dissolved the moment she landed in the mud puddle.

Did she just...? Argus watched the vampiress sprint off after taunting him and having covered himself in a layer of mud. He looked at his garments in disgust at how unclean he was--he meant it when he said he didn't like water and mud was definitely on the list. At least the sight was comical to any passerby.
Argus was hopelessly blowing his bangs away from his eyes but due to how matted they were, it was an impossible task. "Alright, you're going to pay for that. Get back here!" He sprinted, nearly losing his balance from the slippery roads, and began his pursuit of Chloe.

He was chasing her, Chloe laughed. It was like something out of a romantic comedy and then she tripped and fell to the ground. "Oh shit!" Chloe spat out, the fall and amount of time it took to get back up to her feet would've given Argus enough chance to reach her and catch her because of it. "No. No!" shouted Chloe, not being able to control the laughter behind the words as she knew she would feel Argus' muddy hands on her body any minute now.
