It wasn't everyday people would see fraternal twins walking into a town with joined hands and an abnormal appearance. Their skin was brown yet their hair was long, white and a blue, circled gem was in the center of their foreheads. People assumed them to be blind due their blank eyes. Wearing white clothing, fashioned into robes, would turn heads anywhere.
The Twins didn't agree with the methods of their order. They saw into the future and the past--it was not these people's fault for what came to pass. Simply put: it was meant to happen. They stood in the path of a middle-aged man, nodded at him in greeting and spoke:
"We need to meet the 'heroes' of this town. We bring them important information. Do you know of their location?"
"Wouldn't call 'em heroes but they are just down the street in that big manor." A man jabbed his thumb over his shoulder, pocketed his hands and resumed his evening stroll. Some residents were used to the abnormal.
Together, they knocked on the door upon their arrival.

Genesis. It couldn't go a week without something bad happening. There was the fight against the Arashi when her sister first got dragged into this realm, the battle against that vampire called Maya, the invasion of Hallowton and several others incidents that has been reported on throughout Jherra. Zira Firestone has taken a back seat to most of these events and helped where and when she was needed. Even with all the hell Jherra has witnessed it still wasn't anywhere near as bad as the City of Mortis. Not in Zira's eyes anyway. That was mostly due to the fact this time, she had allies. People Zira could call a friend and rely on when things got bad. Back in the City of Mortis all she had was Amoura, then she was gone.
The Firebird was dragged out of her thoughts upon a knock at the door. Wondering who on Genesis it could be Zira got up from her chair and headed through the living room to answer it. On her way to the door she felt something odd, very odd. A six sense taking over her body as she approached the door far more cautiously now. Sensing not one but two minds on the other end as she opened the door to find two twins holding hands on the other side. Zira raised an eyebrow at them before speaking.
"Can I help you?"

"We are here to help you," they stated together. Their voices, while having a calm, soothing demeanor, delivered those words with urgency. They didn't wait for an invitation and their bodies were replaced by a black puff of smoke when they teleported into the manor. Zira would be able to tell from her senses that they had no intention of causing harm and were merely curious about the abode. They slipped their hands apart and pushed back their hoods to reveal the rest of their physical attributes: they had pointed ears.
"We apologize. We are curious of things we never see." They turned to Zira, "We trust you are the defenders of Hallowton and we shall inform you of what our eyes have seen. Our 'Order of Chaos' has been hired by someone to eradicate all of you and we do not agree with this path. However, to prevent more catastrophe, we cannot tell you who."
The twins cast a glance around the home but when they looked to Zira again, they look troubled. "Where are they?"

"Please, come in."
Zira spoke sarcastically as she watched the twins enter the house via black smoke.
"Is it that hard to use your feet?"
Zira closed the door behind the twins and looked them over as they spoke. She attempted to probe their minds while their defenses were down but she was unable to get the reading. Despite them proving to be immune to her telepathy she was able to tell they were sincere in their words and not at all trying to deceive her.
"Order of Chaos?"
Zira crossed her arms in front of her chest while listening to this news. Seem like business as usual, another evil force wanting to eradicate her and her friends off the face of the planet.
"The others are out for the moment. What can you tell me about this 'Order of Chaos' you work for?"

"To prevent more interference with the current flow of events, all we can tell you is that we are usually hired to get rid of a 'threat' or a nuisance. We're a group of mercenaries and trust us when we say they are not easy to get rid of." They rested their arms against their sides, "There's been far too much in terms of disturbance. Our sevenths sense is being blinded by different events that result in a drastic change in the future. Us being here should not have happened and yet we took that risk."
Cassandra and Helenus rejoined their hands. From their tan skin, a white glow fluctuated and their blank eyes emitted light, "And the time lines have changed again but for the worst. Because of our appearance here we have caused new events. Time is delicate; it's the surface of a still pond. One, insignificant pebble is all it takes..."
They saw it all: a lack of warning would result in everyone's death and yet if they stepped in, some may die regardless of effort. Even after hundreds of years of existence, the Twins were still unable to fully predict all that may come to pass if one thing goes wrong. It wasn't evident in their eyes but their visages portrayed an emotion she would know well: pity.
"We foresaw your death, Zira Firestone."

Zira blinked. The information didn't register with her at first. She felt the pity. It was as plain as day on them. Disbelief swept the Firebird off her feet. To think that she could go through all that hell in her own realm, to take on the Prince of Darkness himself one on one, take his life from him, a feat that even Sparda and Dante was not capable of, and still she would face death? No. Zira Firestone didn't believe this. They must have missed something critical in their vision. Then again they were being vague and wasn't offering Zira any details on her death so far, or when for that matter.
"You're going to have to be way more specific."

"We shall try."
They closed their eyes and held each others hands tighter. "We see...fire. Everything's burning." The Twins winced, gritted their teeth, took in a sharp breath and resumed, "We hear crying, the heat is immense; someone's laughing." Cassandra opened her eyes while her brother kept his closed; they were black. Their speech pattern was broken as words began to flow from her lips, weaving out an unsure future.
"A powerful flame will be extinguished in the face of betrayal. " She began, "Ash. That is all I see now. Destruction. Chaos. Death." Uncertainty gripped her and she waved her free hand out in front of her, "I cannot see beyond the veil; beyond the smoke. I hear a shriek. No...no too much! Too much!" Cassandra screamed and collapsed to the floor, taking her brother with her. Composure was quickly regained as if the entire ordeal didn't happen.
"We apologize but getting specifics tax us greatly. Our power, while immense to some, is heavily limited. It is very...painful to keep our minds trapped in a moment in the future."

"In that case, don't exert yourselves too much."
The owner of this voice soon made himself visible. Stepping through the doorway, his coat absent, Sparda looked the two young children up and down; the scrutiny they were undergoing was not apparent in his facial features, but he was closely examining their unnatural auras. They were fundamentally different to the demons he was familiar with, but possessed the same maturity of age, as well as that odd feeling of diffusion across the surrounding space that indicated one who could see across time.
"I know an old friend possessing almost flawless omniscience," the Dark Knight continued. Zira may not have understood the reference, but he was of course speaking of Tajna Rasha, the all-seeing phantom over whom time held no power. "If we must, I'll consult him on the matter... if I can get into contact with him to ask, that is."
He stepped further into the room, his posture relaxed but his concern audible in his tone of voice. "Is there anything more at all that you can tell us of these cohorts of yours?"

“Sounds familiar.”
Sazan was the next one to return to the manor after Sparda, having just overheard part of the twins vision of the future.
“My first thought is Lord Beelzebub, god of darkness. Miracle told me he has the ability to make an illusion of hell so intense it surpasses the real thing. Something tell me he can make a real fire if he wanted to.”
Crossing the threshold of the home The Hybrid now stood next to Zira, Amoura’s sister and her new sister n law while still looking over the twins.
“But something tells me you can’t confirm my theory one way or the other.”
Sazan then looked over to Zira and rested a hand on her shoulder, smiling.
“Your first “you’re going to die” vision. Amoura will be so proud!”

Zira began to feel her blood boil as the two predicted the future, very vaguely. It didn't sit well with the Firebird one bit. They claim to have come here to warn her but all she gets is vague descriptions that could mean anything and they won't even say who's the one that's going to kill her. After hearing what Zira thought to be a pathetic excuse she approached the two and grabbed each of their arm, squeezing them tightly to get her point across.
"This is my life we're talking about! The two of you are going to start giving me straight answers or you'll be foretelling how my bullets were lodged into your skulls!"
Sparda and Sazan had returned and Zira was quick to push the twins away as she looked at the two. She was able to understand the Tajna Rasha reference thanks to Amoura explaining about him during their time in Mortis. Her eyes then went over to Sazan who already had a theory for what the vision could mean, although no theory would be needed if the twins were giving them some more straight answers. Zira's head turned when she felt Sazan's hand on her shoulder which comforted her, until Sazan decided to make a bad joke.
"You'd joke at a time like this? I've just been told I'm going to die and these twins can't give me anything more than a vague vision!"

"You are angry, this much we understand," The bruising that began to form on their arms ebbed away seconds after Zira had released them and they stretched out their hands together. The Firebird will be caught in a white bubble to prevent any further violent outbreaks. "We break from our order to warn you of what may come to pass and we are rewarded with irrational behavior. We are disappointed to see a hero give into fickle things like emotion and so quickly."
They lowered their hands but Zira remained imprisoned. "Once the barrier senses calmness in your fiery heart, it will release you. But know this: because of us being here, our time in the physical plane will be limited. Betrayal is never taken lightly by the Order. Perhaps when you realize that revealing your future shall soon spell our gruesome demise, you shall be more grateful that it was paid in our blood. Beware of the betrayer."
Cassandra and Helenus turned to the others to address them. Together, they bowed. "We are honored to be in your presence, Legendary Knight and to you as well, Sazan. We have seen your efforts against those who seek to do harm and applaud you. Heroes have become few in number during these troubled times. But..." Their heads turned to Sparda, "...the one you seek may not relinquish that information. The time is drawing close, very close, but we do not know when. You may not reach The Ghost in time to get what's needed."

Sazan’s joke backfired in a huge way as Zira looked ready to explode because of everything that was going on. The Hybrid made the mistake in assuming that Zira, like Amoura, was used to this kind of thing by now, like the rest of them. Apparently not.
“Whoa! Calm down now. You know I didn’t mean it like that.”
Sazan could only watch as Zira's temper landed her right in a bubble, produced by the twins who disclosed the uncomfortable news that this decision to help would mean their deaths. The Hybrid couldn’t help but feel sorry for them, they were only trying to help but in this business it always seem to end in death. Not this time.
“We can offer you protection. You don’t have to die either.”

"You know of him?"
Sparda wasn't sure whether or not to be surprised by this. Clearly there was more to these twins' power than he had assumed; unfortunately, it didn't seem to make their foresight any more precise.
"Then you know I must take that chance, for Zira's sake," he answered, folding his arms and casting a glance in the Firebird's direction that spoke of quiet reassurance. "If there's anything I've learned about all that's happened to us here, it's that there's no such thing as fate. Nothing about the future is ever set in stone."

Zira attacked the bubble, trying to power out of it in the midst of her rage. Wanting to grab the twins and choke the life out of them until they spoke of their own gruesome demise for their choices here today. Soon the anger started to flee the body and Zira just sat there in the bubble in shock and disappointment. Shock that she had fell to her emotions so easily and disappointed in herself for what she was feeling. This was not Zira Firestone, the Firebird that rescued Mortis from the hands of Mundus. The bubble finally popped and Zira was free to move of her own accord again as she looked over to the twins.
"I'm sorry. I've been around humans for too long."
Zira slowly approached the two, this time calmer than she was prior to the time in the bubble, looking down at the two who lives may be over because they chose to warn her of this dreaded fate so that she may cheat death. Trying to conceal the sorrow on her face as she leaped back in the cold persona she possessed back in Mortis just so she wouldn't feel the pain.
"I'll remember you. Dead or alive you won't be forgotten. I owe you this much."

"We have lived beyond you, Sparda. Those who see into the future and read upon the past know of others capable of such feats. Tajna, however, is a legend amongst the many--we never dare to cross him. His ability to see is far beyond many of us combined. But there is such thing as 'fate'. Some can break from it but it takes a being like Maricul to do such a thing." The twins expelled soft sighs and turned their heads to address Sazan. Their darkened lips curled into gentle, heartfelt smiles and they bowed to her in thanks, "We are grateful for your desire to protect us from our kin but we have long foreseen our deaths. Many seers are dying. None can see past the darkness that looms."
This news disheartened Cassandra and Helenus. Their blank eyes, even without the irises and pupils, displayed sorrow at their "kind" gradually being wiped out. Zira's words brought them out of that emotional state. "We forgive you. While humans are troublesome creatures, they are still admirable and worth saving. We are glad that you will remember us but do not be upset at our passing. We chose this path and accept the consequences. We have lived long enough."
