Code: AmouraArgus.Just another day, another hunt, more invaders to eradicate for their violent behaviors. It was getting out of hand at times whereas others it was a waste of ammo and effort. Sparda was off seeing to the other side of the city and she took this portion. The vampire was beginning patrol through one of the abandoned apartment complexes when her eyes set on someone who had the same idea in mind. His choice of attire was only somewhat similar to hers; why is that? In unison, they drew their guns, took aim but didn't fire. It was like watching a mirror; they both approached each other with the same foot patterns, same intentions.
The Night Angel's nose wrinkled after taking in his scent and she was the first to break this awkward silence, "Vampire and demon?"
"Was going to ask you the same thing. I'm guessing you are 'offspring' of Mundus?" His vocals were smooth. It was typical of another vampire to have an attractive allure to their speech.
"A sad factor in the equation."
They circled each other, guns at their sides, and they scanned their surroundings in case if something got out of hand. Their eyes met.
"You've got traps rigged in this place."
"Same to you. A certain vampire taught you that, didn't she?"
"He," Amoura quirked a brow at this male double of her, "yes, Ranka did. He taught me well and I'm guessing the female alternate did the same for you?"
"Betrayal being one of them, yes."
"Tell me about it..." Amoura snoted as did the male, "There's a slut where you're from, right?"
"Marcus. Freaky bastard. Kept trying to seduce me sometimes."
"Had a daughter with the Dark Knight's child?"
"You catch on quick."
"I was going to say the same about you."
"You do realize you, in a sense, complimented yourself."
"Godda have some self esteem."
"Touche."
They simultaneously put their guns away and both took note of them.
"Judgement and Redemption?"
Amoura leaned to the side and took note of the blade strapped to his back, "Sword named Revelation?"
"This is getting freakier by the moment."
"You think I wasn't thinking what you're thinking?"
"Getting a headache isn't on my agenda."
"If you get one, we can just call it--"
"Silver Bullet."
"I think I can get used to this..."

So far so good. Chloe felt up the blond hair that remained untouched on her head so far. It was starting to become real old real fast whenever she would lose it and go bald, just for it to reform and repeat the cycle all over again. Hallowton appeared peaceful enough and according to Dianne it was a good hunting ground but for the first time since coming out of the grave blood was the last thing on her mind. There was only one thing on her mind this night as she walked the streets of the Victorian Era city. "Amoura." No matter how hard Chloe tried she could not get the scent of that woman, or the face that goes with it, out of her mind, nor could she stop thinking about the way those silver eyes of hers stare down into your very soul while talons sink into your throat. Those images were burned into her skull as deeply as the nightmares she had inherited from the Night Angel. Personally Chloe couldn't decide which set of images were worse.
Still, it did not stop the vampiress from following the very scent of Amoura, which Chloe picked up the moment she stepped foot into town. Dianne was nowhere to be found and Chloe made sure of that, as appreciative as she was for all Dianne was doing for her this was one task the vampiress had to do on her own. After a couple of minutes of tracking Chloe found the building Amoura was stationed in and went inside. Her heart would have begun to quicken in speed if it could beat as she drew nearer and nearer to the woman, hearing voices across the corner. Taking a rather unnecessary breath of fresh air Chloe turned the corner and then stopped dead in her tracks when she saw Amoura and another man that looked just like her, sounded like her and when Chloe took a little sniff, smelled like her. If she didn't know any better.... wait.... They were the same person! "Fuck me."

Argus' nose twitched, as did Amoura's and in unison they aimed their guns in Chloe's direction. It was eerie just how much alike these two were; they even had a preference towards the larger, more powerful gun of their duos: Judgement. Argus was the first to speak about Chloe.
"The hell is she?"
"You don't remember a certain vampire being infected with the Nightmare for drinking your blood?"
"At last we find a difference in our paths. So this girl was stupid enough to drink from you?"
"Well," the vampiress lowered her gun and Argus followed in suit, "in all fairness I didn't think the Nightmare would pass on. Just a few memories to spook her from trying to drink from me again."
"Risky. So it's been spreading?"
"Sadly. Seems Veran's powers are making a return."
Argus wasn't happy to hear that. The hybrid puffed out a sigh and with some effort, removed his helm, allowing his violet locks to tumble down his back. There was no point in keeping it on for the time being.
"Prank from a certain hunter?" Amoura noted his oddly colored hair.
"It's growing on me."
Funny they were talking to each other right in front of Chloe like she didn't exist but that rapidly changed. Argus approached the vampiress but kept his distance; he wasn't in the mood to have a set of fangs sink into him tonight.
"So you have the Nightmare. How severe is it?"

When they both aimed their guns at her Chloe waved up her arms in plead. "Now just hear me out!" There was no answer instead the two just talked amongst themselves and it was the strangest thing to watch. Two people identical except for a few minor differences. Very, very minor differences and to make it all the more stranger Chloe was finding herself physically attracted to the male Amoura. How's that for ironic? If it wasn't for the shit that the Night Angel had put her through she'd be trying to lay on the charm but she was more concerned with the idea that either one of them would blow her head off before she could get a word in edge wise.
The male approached her and he wouldn't have to worry about distance as Chloe backed up for every step he took forward. Clearly more afraid of him attacking her than he was concerned with her attacking him and she didn't bother to hide her fear either. Not that she could right at this very moment. "On a scale from one to ten with ten being the highest? Eleven." Answered Chloe, looking between the two. The vampiress knew her mind couldn't take much more of this. Reality was bending itself sideways and now there were more than one Amoura and this one, this one had accessories she knew she could appreciate but anyway moving on. "I need to speak with you- well not you exactly your other- um- the one with breasts." Never in a million years did she thought she would have to one day say something like that. Then again never in a million years did she think she would have to say or do a lot of things. "I come in peace! No really."

Peace, huh? We’ll see about that. The traps had been flawlessly set around this whole area so if she made one, wrong move she’ll ignite the whole area. Argus looked over at the breasted version of himself, shrugged, crossed his arms and stepped aside so the two could talk. This was one of the strangest days of his life and he’s certain it won’t be the last of them.
”If the Nightmare is that bad then Veran might be making a return, wouldn’t you think?”
”Hard to say. I noticed when he faded so did the visions' intensity. It’s been flaring; might be because of the third sibling about to make its appearance but I’ll discuss this later.” Amoura planted her hands on her hips and stared at Chloe, ”If it’s about getting rid of the Nightmare, I fear there is nothing I can do—I can only give answers as to what it is.”
”Seals won’t work either. We both tried that.” Argus butted in, ”It just came bursting on through full force and deadlier than before.”
”Unfortunately…”

"Thanks but that's not why I'm here." Chloe bowed her head too ashamed to even look at the woman standing across from her in the hallway. "I wanted to apologize. You offered me friendship before and I foolishly turned you away." So this what it felt like to eat crow, to swallow your pride and admit that you have been in the wrong all this time. If either of them bothered to look into her eyes while her head remained bowed they would see the sincerity in them along with the sincerity in her voice. She meant what she said, what good it would do her remained to be seen. "I was hoping that your offer back in Isafaro would still be on the table. If not I'll understand. Either way I want to help. I want to make up for the lives I've taken since coming out of the grave. I don't want to be a slave to the thirst anymore."
Chloe was finally able to fight past the shame and lift up her head, now looking the Night Angel straight in the eye while waiting for an answer. The suspense alone could have killed her if the other woman kept her waiting long enough. She didn't know this place was rigged because she had no way of knowing. As of now Chloe didn't get that far into her training, or anything really. The vampiress still had much to learn from Dianne and hopefully Amoura. It would be much better this way. She wouldn't have to constantly be looking around her shoulder in fear that the Night Angel will come back to finish what she started in the desert. That would be one giant load off her mind. "Please. Let me help. What do you have to lose? If I step out of line you could get rid of me easily."

Chloe didn't have to wait long for Amoura's response and it will add ease of mind to her. The difference between her and her sire--at least in her mind--was the ability to give an enemy a second chance at a change in their path. "All is forgiven." That's all that had to be said. Chloe understood what she did wrong, why and how--there was no point in giving a lecture.
That doesn't mean she'll let her guard down and Argus seemed to have the same idea in mind.
"Very well. I'll train you how to control your powers and how to use them."
"It won't be easy. Learning the way of the nosferatu is a long and painful path."
"He took the words out of my mouth," Amoura frowned at Argus who didn't seem to care he was so blunt about the truth of it all, "Are you willing to endure it?"

"Do I have a choice?" Chloe asked flatly. "I can't go home, I can't be human again and if I don't learn how to control these abilities they'll control me so to be completely honest with you I don't see myself having a lot of options at the moment." It took all of her strength and self control not to bleed dry the last six men she walked past previously on her way to Hallowton. There was nothing worse than addiction, being at war with yourself. She'd honestly rather have the nightmares over a self fought war. Even now she was fighting not to attack them, to allow herself to be reduced to a common animal and drink their blood, mainly Argus. Chloe found drinking the blood of men to be far more enjoyable than women and Amoura's blood was just orgasmatic so she imagined mixing the two would be even better. Chloe was already infected with the nightmares so what more did she have to lose? But no, that was beyond the point now. She wouldn't try to drink from either of them. No matter how painful resisting was.
"I don't suppose either of you have a spare blood pack on you or know a throat to somebody who deserves to be bled dry by any chance? I'm getting a little hungry." This bloodlust thing was getting stranger and she didn't know how different she was compared to the other two, considering she did come from an entirely different universe. Once her eyes turned crimson red her vision changed accordingly, everything around her appeared to be just red and black. The vampiress could see the veins in everyone around her as if they became transparent, making it easier to see and hear the blood that pumped through them. Chloe felt stronger in this mode as well, as if she could take on the whole fucking world with just her bare hands. It gave her delusions of godhood and now the temptation of ripping both their throats out and bleeding them dry was even stronger but still she resisted, refusing to give in. The battle of self waged on. "Otherwise you're going to have to knock me out."

"Well technically we can give you the option to be more human or you can learn to harness your vampiric abilities to do some good out there." Argus looked to Amoura, knowing she'd have more to say on this subject; she did.
"We both denied our heritage, tried to be like humans and it got our asses whooped. You could take that risk if you wish, but the Nightmare could kill you if you remain human. So with that in mind, it would be good to at least help you control some of the basics." Amoura reached behind her cloak, removed a blood packet and threw it in Chloe's direction. The girl reeked of bloodlust and the fact she was controlling the urge right now showed she was willing to learn. Argus nodded in approval at his double and knew all too well that his interference wouldn't be wise since this girl wasn't directly affected by him. That didn't mean he'll keep his mouth shut.
"One of the first ways to control your hunger is to satisfy it early and daily. As long as you have blood in your system, you won't get hungry and the urge to bite into a throat won't be as strong. One pack a day should help you to start off. Tonight I can start you on the simplest of things."

"Being more human doesn't make you human." Chloe's voice was cold but this time around it was unintentional though her words were true. If anything that path would make the vampiress feel like a cheap copy of what she once was. Restoring her humanity was something she would risk everything for, she even had a pact with a god to restore it, but Chloe wouldn't settle for a cheap alternative, she would want the real thing. The vampiress wasn't known for settling on anything. Chloe's eyes immediately spotted the blood packet as it was thrown in her direction and she caught it with her bare teeth, tugging on the bottom of it she ripped open the top and then washed it all down with one giant gulp feeling that amazing jolt which hit her system every time she tasted fresh human blood. Needless to say by now, she was hungry. However it wasn't enough to kill the current bloodlust flowing through her. The red and black was starting to slowly dim and color was returning in her eyes but she needed and wanted more.
"More! I need more! Please." Chloe was beginning to feel more and more like the junkie Amoura called her back at the cemetery in Isafaro, although in the blond's mind that was all vampires were in the end. Junkies, wandering the world for all eternity in search for their next fixed. Only difference in her mind was she believed herself to be one of the few not afraid to admit this painful fact. Other vampires, like Dianne for example, would deny it and try to create the illusion that there was actually something to be proud of. As if being a vampire was something you chose and take pride in, but Chloe knew that wasn't the truth. She didn't choose this life. Who in their right mind would? A life where you were ruled by the blood forever? That wasn't the kind of life you wanted to live. It wasn't the life she wanted but it was the life she has been forced to endure. Only other alternative is death and that didn't look pleasing to Chloe anymore. "Please."

"You catch on quick rather than clinging to something that's not really possible. Good. You're going to need that as time goes on." Argus removed two blood packets and threw them to Chloe, making sure they were together enough to make catching an easy task. "Well, if you are going to train her I'll take over patrolling."
"East side and towards the north is where I check. There's a-"
"-demon clan that needs eradicating-"
"-and they tend to hang around some of the more quiet parts of town to avoid detection-"
"-so kill on sight. Got it." Argus pulled his hair back and placed his mask over his head. Their armor style definitely had enough differences. After giving Amoura the "O.K." sign he ran out the doors to finish the patrolling for her. It would be best for her to help Chloe since she infected her with the Nightmare in the first place.
"We'll start off simple. First with instructions to control your bloodlust. Once that is tamed there's a lot more that can be accomplished." Amoura held another blood packet in her hand and tore the edge open so she could get a drink, "Like I said earlier, even if you are not hungry, you should satisfy your thirst with at least one packet a day. There are blood banks everywhere and I can show you where they are stationed. They even have criminals, or those who can no longer function as humans, from whom you can get fresh blood--the amount you can get is sparse, though." The vampiress waited for Chloe to finish her snack and for any questions she may have.

The vampiress snatched the two in-coming blood packs and consumed their contents in no time flat, one moment the blood was clearly visible and the next it was gone. Had Amoura blinked she wouldn't even have seen Chloe drink the two bags dry. One would think she hardly had the time to really enjoy the taste of them but she did, she most certainly did. When she saw the third, Chloe didn't ask if it was for her or not, she snatched it and devoured its content before tossing it aside. The bloodlust was but a small whisper inside of her body now but she knew she wasn't done yet. "Does everything go red and black for you too?" She was now trying to gauge how different their vampire abilities were next to each other. The bloodlust state had just about disappeared and Chloe could barely see the veins inside of Amoura. One or two more drops of blood should do it.
"I can see people veins during this state and am able to monitor where the blood pumps through them. I'm stronger too. Like a human when dealt with an adrenaline rush. Delusional even. For one brief moment I truly believed I could kill you without any effort." Luckily the pain from her throat when she trashed about had reminded her that wasn't the case. The bloodlust didn't completely cloud her judgment even when it was as high as it could possibly get. "Thankfully I'm not so naive anymore. I know this is probably tedious by now but it's almost gone. Just one more pack." Chloe thought about it further for a moment. "Better make it two."

"Not black and red. I see something worse," Amoura peeled back the cover for one of the small, leather satchels she had on her belt and pulled out another packet. She only carried about five on her whenever she stepped outdoors and she was patting around for possibly the final she had on her person. Both were tossed to Chloe, "And what you just described is exactly what I see. Every single person looks like a walking buffet just waiting to be devoured. My fangs elongate, get sharper and keep sinking into my lips; my gums get inflamed and I have to bite into something-- it's painful." Amoura wasn't willing to admit to her just yet that once she had mercilessly tore apart a human just to satisfy those powerful instincts. The memory left her without an appetite and disgusted with herself.
"Anyways." Amoura figured it would be best to give her a short list on what to begin in terms of training, "I'm sure your new senses are difficult to adjust to or use at times. Due to you being from a different realm altogether I'm not sure what your type of vampire is capable of. I may have to put you through some basic tests to get a grasp on what to teach. Do you want to start tonight or wait until tomorrow after you've had full rest and plenty of blood?"

"Rest." Chloe remembered it fondly as she finished off the last two blood packs, emerging victorious over the bloodlust. Rest. The vampiress missed that. Feeling so fatigued that she wanted to crash on the softest bed she could find and curl up underneath the covers. Ever since rising from the grave she didn't feel that anymore. Fatigue. Weak sure, but that wasn't the same as being tired. Chloe didn't need sleep, she didn't need to ear or drink. The only thing she needed was the blood. Nothing else. Her body could mimic those actions but she would never get the full satisfaction of them like she did while being alive still. At least she would always have the memories, if nothing else.
Chloe realized she had allowed herself to get lost in thought for a moment, and perhaps even made Amoura believed she wanted rest. The vampiress would soon correct any misunderstandings there may be. "We can begin whenever you're ready to teach me. I do not require sleep anymore. I haven't been tired since.... well, since I was alive." One would probably think never having to sleep would be a blessing, but how wrong they are. It was very true what they say, you never fully appreciate what you have until it's gone.

”Then basics tonight it will be. It won’t take too long either and don’t worry if you can’t get something right the first time.” Amoura swiped her hand in front of her and the doors to the building quickly slid open, letting light pour into the dusted room. The moon wasn’t full but it shed enough of its glow to bathe the city, ”One of the first things we shall go over are your senses. Sight is key for a vampire. We can see in the dark, follow our prey or enemies and so on.” The vampire gestured for Chloe to follow her outside to a fire escape. Amoura wasn’t sure if Chloe was capable of defying gravity so for now it would be best to do some exercise.
The ladder slid down, slammed against the cement and she immediately started climbing. Chloe will know to follow. The edifice was only seven stories high, a little worn down, but it was perfect for the first of these lessons she’ll endure. The night was cool and a gentle breeze had begun to drift through the city. ”Alright, there’s a lot of people out here; let’s see if your sight can pin point certain things I ask for you to find. Many vampires have ‘telescopic vision’ and can ‘zero in’ on a location. There’s a bakery down the street and a chalkboard with a price tag for a certain number of loaves. Try to read it.” The distance wasn’t too far and with her enhanced vision she should be able to read it with ease. ”I’ll gradually make it harder for you. When you reach your limit we’ll move onto the next lesson.”
