The eyes of the brunette opened up slowly to see the clear blue sky up above. She was laying against the warm green grass of a large field and with the serenity that filled her soul she honestly thought she had died and would finally have eternal bliss. But the pain from that attack by the T-Nemesis monster finally came back to the surface of her mind as she sat up grunting in pain. The woman name, Jill Valentine.
Jill stood up in the middle of the field and looked around. She didn’t have a single as to her current whereabouts. The last thing she remembered was fighting a superior version to the Nemesis Project before everything around them started to be destroyed. As she looked around Jill could sense somebody moving in on their position. Their footsteps were quiet and if it wasn’t for her enhanced senses Jill would have never seen them coming. She spun around and aimed her Beretta at the unknown person as they drew a long white sword in return. Jill’s eyes went wide with surprise as she saw the woman who wielded that holy looking blade.
“Ranko?”
“How do you know my name?”
“Ranko, it’s Jill Valentine. We’ve met plenty of times. Where’s Maricul?”
“I’m sorry I haven’t the slightest clue who you are or how you know my sister and if you don’t start answering my questions---”
Easy Ranko, spoke the blade known as the Semi in her mind, she’s a friend who knows about as much of what’s going on than you and I.
Ranko stepped back and was about to put her weapon away until both women could feel dark energy coming in their direction. They were both able to dodge the blast and looked out to the horizon to see a woman with long raven black hair, dressed in a black sailor suit with a silver tiara on her forehead coming for them.
“What is this place? Why have you brought me here!?”
The woman charged more dark energy between her hands and then fired it at the two women. Ranko absorbed it into the Semi blade while Jill took the worse of it. Her eyes would turn red as a result and tentacles would come flying out of her back as she grabbed the stranger with it and started to strangle her with the tentacle. The raven haired woman was fighting for her breath. Ranko looked towards her and then back to Jill.
“That’s enough.”
Jill kept her glare on the woman, tightening the grip she had around her throat. The urge to rip her throat out then there becoming strong as her tyrant blood boiled in her veins. All those urges were interrupted by the loud booming voice of the Lady in Red.
“I SAID THAT’S ENOUGH!”
Jill released the grip she had on the woman and her eyes returned to their natural color. Ranko could see the expression of shock on Jill’s face as she finally came to her senses.
“I-I don’t know what came over me.”
Ranko didn’t exchange another word with Jill as she ran up to the raven haired woman and knelt down beside her.
“Are you all right? I assure you we had nothing to do with your capture. What’s your name?”
The woman coughed and then finally caught up with her breath as she looked up to the redhead.
“Sailor Darkness.”
“Ranko.”
“HOLY SHIT! Did you see that?”
Ranko turned around to see a monster of a man up ahead. He had to be at least seven feet tall, wore a long black trench coat covering up most of his body with short black hair and dark brown eyes. One look of the man and Ranko knew that wasn’t the source of the voice, for the voice was smaller and sounded like a woman. The redhead then looked down to see a woman in a black suit, possessing curly short black hair and brown eyes. She was puffing a cigarette, pulling it out of her mouth and blowing up smoke before continuing to speak.
“This sure as hell isn’t New York.”
“Hey! Are you okay over there?”
The woman in a suit saw Jill coming and quickly hid behind the seven footer.
“You stay the hell away from me you damn tentacle freak!”
“You cower in fear?” asked the seven footer. “Have I taught you nothing?”
“Tentacles was not in the job description!”
“You can relax,” said Ranko walking up to the pair, “She won’t hurt you. Not on my watch.”
“And you are?”
“Ranko. The woman in blue is Jill Valentine and the other is Sailor Darkness.”
“Pfft. Sailor.”
“I am The Angel of Death.”
“Carari Grey. General Manager of DXX Friday Night Mayhem!” she boasted now lending out her hand for Ranko to shake, “Perhaps you heard of me?”
“Can’t say that I have.”
Carari looked disappointed and then lowered her hand.
“Well maybe you should turn on a TV every once and a while!”
“Excuse her. The woman is worthless.”
“Yeah I’m worthless. I’m making billions of dollars and booking shows in Madison Square Garden. Definitely the worthless sort right here.”
The Angel of Death ignored Carari and looked back to the others.
“I don’t suppose any of you know where we are?”
“I echo that question!”
The group turned to see three more women walking up to them. The first one had long black hair that past her waist and brown eyes. She wore long white holy robes that made her look like a priestess but her skin was pale and colder than ice. The features on her face looked as one who wished death. Next to her was a female in a black cloak made complete with a hood. Covering her face was a dark red mask as maroon colored gloves and boots covered her hands and feet. The third female had a bright smile on her face and wore a purple Kurain outfit with her black hair held up in a ponytail. Ranko approached the three and then stopped a fair distance from them as she felt something dark radiating from their bodies.
Careful, midear Ranko. I sense it too. There is something very dark about these three.
“You are?”
“….”
The one who looked like a holy priestess was awkwardly silent.
“And the weird gets weirder,” whispered Carari.
“Don’t mind Jenesis she doesn’t speak much,” said the masked woman. “I am Lemara and this---” she nodded her head over to the one in the Kurain outfit--- “Is Kedara.”
“Hi!”
“I’m Ranko.”
Ranko began pointing to the others.
“This is Jill Valentine, Sailor Darkness, Carari Grey and…. and well The Angel of Death. And I’m afraid we don’t know where we are.”
“Intriguing. Then it appears we have a mystery on our hands.”
“Looks like we need a specialist. EVA!”
From behind the three women came another female. This one dressed in a long sleeve black dress shirt with black leather gloves, black slacks and dress shoes to match with a purple jacket over her shirt. Lots of silver hair fell down pass her shoulders and shined in the sun up above as a long sword known as the Mirror Edge was in her right hand, the blade balanced on her shoulder as she walked.
“What’s your Sparda blood telling you?”
“Sparda….”
Eva paused for a minute and then bit down on a cookie before answering.
“You’re fucked.”
Eva proceeded to chew as she walked away from the group, seeming to not be at all concerned with the growing situation.
“Okay then…. That got us nowhere.”
“First thing first. We need to find The Genius.”
“You rang?”
“Genius!”
Kedara spun around excitedly looking forward expecting to see her maker and boss but instead all she saw was air. Until she looked down and saw a female who looked no older than twelve, dressed in a gray fur coat with long curly brown hair held up in pigtails, chocolate brown eyes looking up to the three.
“My god what have they done to you?!”
The Genius only looked at Kedara annoyed.
“If that’s your idea of a joke….”
Faster than the untrained eye were her daggers drawn as she rubbed them together while looking at Kedara.
“I highly recommend a new routine.”
Before anyone else could say or do anything a blinding white light shined down in the heart of the fields! Everyone looked up using their arm to shield the piercing light as a woman dressed in white heavenly robes descended down from the sky. Her hair reached her shoulders, were curly and along with her eyes as blue as the ocean. She was easily the most beautiful thing in the entire field and the others stood up at her in awe as her bare feet finally touched the ground and a smile graced her delicate features as she looked to them all.
“Welcome, my friends, to Utopia.”
Luca’s eyes looked up to the sky where the world of Genesis mirrored it up in the heavens. And beyond that she could see the great sun from the supernova that was Aper “The Arashi” burning brightly from the other side. As the light cast from the will of Yahweh reflected in her eyes Luca smile grew even wider.
It begins.
