Chloe was weeping openly as she clenched the clothes of Kyal. His response was the last thing she wanted to hear now that Amoura was tormenting her with these visions. "B-but you're a god! Please you have to help me!" This didn't make any sense to the woman, how could a god not be able to save her from the visions? What good was she in this condition? Chloe was ready to curse his name, to use it in vain and build up his anger until he said she would help with the vampire curse and she bit her tongue. The vampiress forced herself to stop weeping and stood up when the god gave her his hand and stuck by his side. Chloe only hissed at Amoura, keeping her anger in check for Kyal and just when she thought things couldn't get any worse. They did.
Chloe looked up to Kyal to see him start to rot away. His clothes left his body and the skin of a god dried up as the eyes decayed. She covered her mouth in horror as organs fell to the ground and she could hear more falling all around her. The vampiress turned but when she did Amoura, Genius and Kyal all returned to normal. Only to start the process all over again. "No. No. No. NO!" Any hair that remained on her head was torn off until she was completely bald before the three. "Make it stop! I beg you! Please! I'm sorry! I'M SORRY! JUST PLEASE MAKE IT STOP!" Chloe grabbed a hold of her eyes and without thinking ripped them from her sockets. She crushed them behind the weight of her bare hands and laughed maniacally as the vampire thought she had defeated the visions but it was all for naught. The visions came not from the sight from her eyes but her mind's eyes and the three continued to rot away inside the depths of her mind only to reform and start all over again. And so she wept.

“This was spoken by another Arashi who called himself Veran. His prophecy is slightly different from the one the other spoke of. I have yet to determine if it’s due to the difference of dimensions or something else entirely.”The Genius walked forward, confident that the others would follow. “According to my research the prophecy is happening exactly as Veran foretold. Unfortunately it ends with our utter destruction.”Over on the horizon was a dark cavern. The very same cavern that Olivia wished to explore. It may very well hold the answers to the questions they were looking for. “A follower of Veneficus from ancient past also spoke of a similar prophecy. He recorded his findings on a piece of parchment with a quill during their clan travel from Aircano to Jherrazad after the Christian faith took over the city and banished all those that did not share their beliefs, labeling them heretics. They migrated through the desert and on their travels unlocked some horrible truths. I believe that these parchments still exist within one of the caverns they used as shelter during their travels---”The cries of Chloe would interrupt her explanation as she looked back to the girl. The Genius would get a horrible case of deja vu as the woman reacted to the nightmares in the exact same way as Amoura, which she herself had witnessed in the memories provided to her by Luca Valentine, with the exception of pulling out the remainder of her hair. Olivia simply observed as the woman tore out her eyes and thought she had defeated the visions until weeping indicated that she had failed. And if she was like Olivia, who could not regenerate limbs and eyes, then she was forced to be blind for all eternity. “I seem to have lost my train of thought.”

"I cannot. Even If I could, this curse is not something I can lift. I am sorry."
Kyal had to admit, watching Chloe suffer was almost making him feel guilty. On reflex he healed her eyes, hoping she wouldn't tear them out again, before he turned out her screaming - what else could he do?
"And you wish for us to help you find them." He said simply "So if we find these parchments, we can stop it. Or at least put it on hold, so to speak."
He raised his hand and flicked it, closing his eyes for a moment.
"There are thousands of caves between the two cities. How will we know which they stopped in? Even with what I can do, narrowing it down would take time. Not to mention the sheer scale of trying to scry into a route taken thousands of years ago."
He chuckled thinly
"Give me fifteen minutes. I can do it as we walk."

The Genius began her explanation and instantly had Amoura's attention. She never heard of this person, nor his acts or the fact that there was a similar prophecy written on parchment. Scroll? She didn't notice such a thing but when a divine creature has a sword at your throat, the last thing you want to find is paper.
Chloe's screaming interrupted the insightful information and she looked over her shoulder at the inflicted vampire.
"No matter how much you desire death, no matter the method or the desperation, you will not find that peace. Believe me, I tried."
Amoura walked from the others and pointed a talon towards the star-lit horizon,
"Or we could save time and follow the Arashi's trail of destruction to that cave." The Night Angel began walking in that direction, "I am the one who woke it after all so I should know."
[Sorry for shitty post. In a hurry. Godda clean house today.]

Chloe didn't pay very much attention to the words of the immortal child, she was a little preoccupied no thanks to a certain bitch with purple hair. Nobody except for the god seem to care about the sheer agony the vampiress was now going through as her eyes were given back to her just in time to watch her own flesh start to peal away from muscle and bone. As if the visions and everything around her rotting away wasn't enough now it was her own body being reduced to mere bones but in the midst of rotting away she only laughed. "Y-yes! Death! I can feel it! The soothing warmth of death has come for me. Fuck you, Amoura you stupid bitch! I'm going to die and rid of your curse forever!"
But right when death normally would have come Chloe would be struck with a terrible reality. Her body had reformed completely just like the rest of them and now the process was beginning all over again. It looked and felt so real that Chloe couldn't help but scream further at the feeling. Chloe bit her bottom lip, drawing blood as it took all her strength to keep from screaming or jumping at Amoura to rip that stupid head from her shoulders. At the very least the vampiress would show she had some honor inside of her. Chloe stayed close to Kyal and chose to only watch and follow as the other three did the rest.

A knife now lied between the teeth of the vampiress as Olivia had thrown a single dagger towards her mouth as soon as the woman would move to bite down on her lip, she would feel the flat end of the metal blade instead.
“Do be quiet.”
Olivia looked back to the others while drawing a hand into her gray trench coat.
“No problem I already know how to find the cavern I seek.”
The Genius drew a crystal clear orb from her coat and hoisted it up to the air as it began to shine and move all its own. The orb led the group to a different cavern apart from the one The Arashi once resided in, which appeared to be long since abandoned. Crossing the dark entrance Olivia would find a nearby torch and set it on fire to cast light in the dark, damp, cave. As they continued to move, going deeper into the cave the sound of wolves could be heard from afar but The Genius made sure to lead the group away from their position as they now stood before a large, bronzed, stone wall with Latin text engraved on its solid surface. Olivia looked over the Latin and then proceeded to translate it for the others.
“Only he who knows the prayer of our LORD may gain access to enlightenment.”
If that was their take take on Veran’s nightmares she didn’t want to know their idea of terror. Olivia began to ponder on what this prayer may be until it dawned on her. Olivia then began to speak in Latin.
“Benedictus dominus noster, ratione pavore tremit orbe qui sub dextera ejus. Ego trado creatura potest animam meam ut iterum incipiamus exterminatore.”
The ground underneath shook and the stone wall came open unveiling a large golden temple on the other side. While The Genius led them towards it they would see skeletons hanging up above by their necks in tight brown rope, and more skeletons of people long since dead laying on the ground with worms crawling all over them. Faint wailing could be heard all around them, as if the dead was crying out from beyond the grave in agony.
“Do you hear that, Chloe?”
The child spoke to the woman without ever turning to look in her direction.
“These people were like you, plagued with the nightmares, infected. They sought to take their own lives and as you can clearly tell by the wailing, it followed them to eternity.” [Intended translation: Blessed be our lord, aspect of terror; he who trembles the world beneath his right hand. I surrender my life to the destroyer so that creation may begin anew!]

"The dead should rest." Kyal said simply, a hint of anger in his tone as he strode behind them, wings folded into his back, lest they brush the walls, cloak billowing behind him.
His eyes narrowed slightly as his mind whirred through the translation.
"Clearly, whatever it is that lies within, you need protection from, to have brought us along - if you knew exactly where it was, I do not see the point in us being here, unless you mean to fool us..."
His right hand lashed out and curled around Olivia's throat, pinning her to the wall suddenly with frightening strength - yet she wouldn't be harmed, not in the slightest.
"If you put is in harms way for your own gain, I promise you i'll strike you down where you stand." He snarled dangerously, eyes flickering to a deep red before he seemed to come to his senses, slowly lowering her he bowed his head.
"I apologise. I did not mean to get agitated like that - but forgive me for being partly suspicious." He said softly, stepping back to allow her room to carry on, hands laced in front of himself.

"A god letting his emotions get in the way?" Amoura quirked a brow at Kyal's moment of violence towards Olivia. She had been prepared to strike at his physical form and it was evident by how her talons were being lowered from their raised, flexed position. "I am here to find answers and so is she. If you suspect that there is wrong doing in this cause then feel free to leave." The Night Angel took the defensive and stood between the god and The Genius. Chloe, well, she was sinking into insanity too quickly to be saved.
"Only your will can save you now." She repeated and descended into this lair of madness. None of this bothered her. For years she had seen death, destruction and being desensitized to it all was inevitable. Amoura gave pause, turned and waited for Olivia to pass by her. Kyal may lose control of himself again and she wasn't going to risk letting her once chance of figuring this out on a deeper level to be ruined.

Chloe's bottom lip tasted colder and harder than she remembered. Then she realized that was not her lip but the harsh metal blade of the dagger that was thrown into her mouth. Had it not been for the timing she could have very well swallowed that knife. Chloe spat it out and then yelled out, "You little bitch! Are you trying to kill me!?" Chloe would get no answer as she realized the three were already on a path to one of the many caverns in the desert. The vampiress swore under her breath and then quicken her pace to catch up to them, staying close to Kyal as they enter the dark cave. Chloe remained quiet for the most part just watching, listening. The child translated some Latin and the vampire remained uninterested so far. She had to learn that crap back at college and with most things, forgotten it all completely by now. What good would it do to her now that she was dead? They finally reached their destination by the looks of it as her eyes looked over the large temple ahead of them. The wailing and hanged skeletons did not go unnoticed as now the child's words made it to her ears and only worked to fuel her anger.
"You're wrong. There is peace in death. I know it." Kyal suddenly stole any thunder the vampiress was starting to attain with her words as now he grabbed Olivia and slammed her into a nearby wall. It made for a very exciting thrill as Chloe rooted the god on. "Kill her! Kill her now!" Despite everything that has happened the vampire still had that thirst for blood, the desire to kill the first thing she sees. Kyal would only serve to disappoint as he released the terrifying hold on the girl and Amoura entered the fray. Personally she would have killed Olivia right there and then work her way over to Amoura but that was just her by the looks of it. Only your will can save you now. Chloe's glare returned to Amoura. "I'll worry about my own will you filthy whore!" Rage flared in her eyes spreading out through the area as it could be felt how much she wanted to torture and kill Amoura but she forced that anger away and calmed herself. The promise of being human again was greater than her desire for revenge.

An angry god. Typical. Kyal had latched onto her throat and brought her to the wall so quickly that even with her ungodly speed and ability to track it she didn’t see it coming. The Genius felt her back collide up against the wall and grunted beneath his hand. True no harm really came to her although the power of suggestion was working wonders. This was the last thing she needed right now, not after coming so close to what she was searching for. To make matters worse Chloe was cheering for a bloody ending to this little meltdown proving herself to be quite the nuisance. Luckily the god was able to see reason and let her go. Olivia readjusted and dusted herself off when Amoura stood between them. The Genius was glad to have brought her along. Why Luca did not want her involved in these proceedings she would never understand.
“Right…. I guess now would be a good time to tell you. There is no possible way for me to find what I seek on my own. Further into the temple is another wall, this one with a seal. The seal can only be broken by the blood of a god. Now you know why I needed your assistance, your strengths would be secondary should anything stand in our way. These two….”
She trailed off to point to Amoura and Chloe.
“Serve as a nice bonus and I appreciate any help they can give.”
Chloe would then snap at Amoura and Olivia only glared at her.
“Kindly keep your subordinate under control,” said Olivia to Kyal politely, yet very coldly as she was not pleased by the consistent tone of the vampiress.

"Clever." He admitted quietly, chuckling thinly as he continued to follow her. He was angry at the prospect of being used, but he tempered it, saving it "I am the only God who is currently on the mortal plain and willing to help."
"Seals are typically to keep items away from those who should not use them, or information they have no right to know." The God spoke once more. "And to need the blood of a God to unlock it is certainly not a good sign."
He snorted quietly at her final words towards him.
"She is not my subordinate either. But I will not see her harmed."
He paused suddenly, peering off further down the tunnel towards the next seal as he chuckled thinly.
"It also stands to reason that the seal would be guarded."
In the distance, two figures could be made out - each standing about twelve feet tall and looked to be made out of metal - Golems, probably put there to guard the seal from anyone who sought to break it.

Soon as those words escaped her lips, Amoura's cold, sharp talons grasped her neck firmly and held her over the edge. There was no hint of anger on her porcelain visage--it would seem she was making sure she was quiet so she could talk: "You think I'm glad to see the Nightmare pass onto another?" Her grip tightened, "Because I'm not. For thirty years I've lived with those haunting images, those prophecies became my lullabies, the undead my cradle." The Night Angel placed Chloe on solid ground and released her, "However, it was your choice to merge into unknown territory and you are paying the consequences. You can either succumb to those visions or let them make your stronger."
The vampire turned from Chloe and followed after The Genius. In the torch-lit room, she could still see where the rest of the Nightmare-inflicted beings were forever lying in torment from their affliction. A saddening sight, for she could have become one of them; but here she stood victorious.
"Not surprised if it's guarded." Amoura didn't draw weapons or make any move to get a closer look unless it was asked for. Movement, flickering of light--anything could disturb those frozen sentries. And what's worse is there could be something dwelling within the golems, something far more intimidating than their outer shell. Or she could be over-analyzing things.

Chloe felt the claws grabbed her neck, her feet having no solid surface beneath them anymore as nothing but air awaited the vampiress should Amoura choose to release her. The vampiress was hoping to see rage, nothing would make her happier than to see her words slice through her skin in such a matter but it appeared that Amoura wasn't shaken in the least by her words. Chloe listened and only thought her words to be bullshit before Amoura put her down and started walking away but Chloe wasn't content on letting her have the last word. Chloe wouldn't keep her silence either. "Don't give me that shit. If you're really this powerful you could have easily stopped my advances on you back in the desert. But instead you chose to stand there and allow me to drink from your blood. You wanted me to get the nightmares. You wanted to pass them on to someone else and watch them suffer! IT WAS YOUR CHOICE TO STAND THERE AND DO NOTHING!"
Chloe screams would be their undoing as the guards suddenly became aware of their presence, her shouts of rage giving away their position from inside the temple and now they were coming. Coming to keep them away from their goals. The vampiress was slowly starting to back away and was preparing to break off into a run as she no longer wished to stay for this expedition. As fear swelled up in her eyes it was unsure which she was more afraid of. The Golems now on their way or the group with her who would no doubt be greatly displeased at her alerting the enemy and destroying any chance they had at the element of surprise.

Chloe never ceased to amaze Olivia. Just when she thought the woman couldn’t be anymore stupid she goes and raises the bar to levels The Genius never thought possible before. The screams were more than enough to alert the Golems of their presence and now a fight was fast approaching. Olivia turned around to face Chloe with an angry and irritated expression planted on her face.
“You imbecile! I’d hang you from your very pigtails if I could.”
Olivia turned back around to face the Golems and drew her daggers before speaking to Amoura.
“We can’t afford to drag this out. Amoura, do you have any explosives to phase into them?”
The Genius face then morphed, no longer looking humane but demonic in design. Her eyes were golden and fangs well presented in her mouth as now she possessed a ridged brow. This was the face of the Van-Tal. The vampire of her world. A roar like that of a lion released from the small girl as she charged the beasts at full speed, an eruption of slashes from the daggers soon followed holding them back with their fierce slashes allowing the others to do what they must.

"It was my choice to make you see reason but it would seem the Nightmare had plans of its own." Come to think of it, it had passed onto her sire, Ranka, years ago when he drained her into unconsciousness but others didn't obtain the curse who got careless--they just saw the horrors she had witnessed in one, big memory slam. Chloe was among the very few unlucky. However, it could mean that Veran was making a return of sorts...
That sent a chill up her spine.
“We can’t afford to drag this out. Amoura, do you have any explosives to phase into them?”
In response, she ran past her with two discs in each hand and charged towards the creatures Olivia was distracting. Her digits pressed down on the smoothed surface, the vampire phased into one, left two inside and did the same to the next. While small, they did pack a punch and that was about to be witnessed.
They detonated within them.
Large chunks of rock went flying from their torsos and her power over gravity paused them mid-air. They still stood, weak, but could manage a few more swings at the intruders. Amoura passed a glance at Kyal, at the rocks frozen in place, then at him once more--may as well let him finish them off in whatever method he desired.
