Time to Duel! [Fukari!]

Fukari studied Tori with each hit she took. In just a couple of turns the woman was already winded, and there was still so much left of the duel to go. The brunette watched as the Vorse Raider got dangerously close to destroying her monster but before it's blade could strike the witch down, it own attack was redirected back at it destroying the Raider in a matter of seconds. The trap card "Mirror Force" now in Tori's field of vision, almost mockingly before being discarded to the card graveyard.

"You forgot about my face down card it seems. Nice try but Mirror Force reflects your own attack right back at you."

Fukari Life Points remained untouched in this confrontation as it was now her turn again.

"I think it's time I put you out of your misery. I sacrifice Dark Witch and Giant Soldier of Stone to summon the Red Eyes Black Dragon!"

A large black as night dragon appeared on the field, his very presence causing the battle arena to tremble as it's red eyes stared down towards Tori's very being. It looked up to the sky and breathed fire as it awaited Fukari's orders.

"This monster has served my family well. It's only fitting that I send you to hell with it. Red Eyes, destroy her Beautiful Headhuntress!"

The Beautiful Headhuntress fell to the power of the Red Eyes but Tori Life Points would be safe, for now. It was only a matter of time before the great beast brought the redhead's life force down to zero.

Tori almost forgot these were holographic images, though the lines between magic and technology was slowly becoming a blur. The heat of the flames felt so real and caused her to sweat a little, the blast from the dragon’s last attack nearly knocked Tori off her feet but she regained balance. Her eyes looked up to the dragon’s, fear becoming present within her own as the situation was starting to become hopeless.

Do I…. do I even have anything in my deck that can defeat that thing? Anything at all?

Tori looked to her hand. Not a single monster that came anywhere close to the Red Eyes Black Dragon’s attack power, a special effect monster that can be of use or any magic/traps that could give her an edge. She could do nothing but place a monster face down in defense mode and end her turn.

"You only work to prolong the inevitable."

Once again the Red Eyes' mouth opened up and unleashed another powerful blast of power, destroying the face down monster and bringing them back to the redhead's turn once again.

"Why not save yourself the suffering and give up now? You won't feel a thing. All you have to do is place your hand on the top of your deck and say, "I surrender."

Tori wondered if it could really be that easy. That she could just rest her hand on the back of her deck and surrender. She lived a fulfilling life hasn’t she? We all had to die sooner or later. Tori’s eyes looked towards the deck, the back of it starting to look really good right now. Her hand started to inch closer to it, tempted to lay down the palm against the deck but when it got within touching distance, a flash of images popped through her mind. All the people that she would never see again invading her head. Her family. Friends. Shinta, June, Nex, Lily, Mary, Kara. She would never see them again. Tori knew then and there that she couldn’t give up. She had to keep fighting even to the bitter end. She would see her friends and family again.

“Never!”

Tori drew her card and smiled before putting it into play.

“I activate the magic card Raigek! Say goodbye to your Red-Eyed-Black-Dragon!”

A great bolt of energy dropped down from the sky and struck the dragon upon his head, destroying the great beast and leaving Fukari to deal with the debris as Tori pulled out yet another card in her hand.

“Now I activate Monster Reborn to revive your dragon!”

What was destroyed was born anew as now the Red-Eyed-Black-Dragon was on Tori’s side of the field towering over his former mistress.

“Now Red-Eyes, attack the life points directly!”

It seems the girl has taken on a new life as she managed to turn this entire duel around in a single turn, stealing her family's prized dragon in the process. Fukari instantly held out her arms in front of her to brace the blast, her brown eyes looking up to the creature that once served her before falling back down upon the redhead on the other side of the field.

"So you've some fight left in you after all."

The former Blind Assassin drew another card and looked her hand over carefully before finally selecting three cards from it to use in this next turn.

"I place two cards face down and one card face down in defense mode to end my turn!"

The ball was in Tori's court once more.
