The last thing he remembered was bright and searing shock wave of energy envelop him, stripping him fiber by fiber before absolute darkness took over him. What a shitty way to go... He could feel himself, or at least his conciseness floating in nothing. It was as if he was no where and yet everywhere at the same time... But then he heard a voice, and saw a light, as cliche as that sounded...

Dante, Son of Sparda….The voice was faint, yet clear enough to understand if one listened closely. Dante would hear the voice of a woman but would still not be able to match it to any voice he recognized. The one who would battle against his ancestry, only to accept it and let it make you stronger. The Demon Slayer who would foil Arkham’s quest for power and best his own brother in the Temen-ni-gru to claim the Force Edge. The one, who would follow in his father’s footsteps and defeat Mundus, and his army, singlehandedly. The light began to fade away and Dante would find himself in a silver colored throne room with royal blue carpeting taking up most of the floors and the throne itself. A total of two windows, four on each side, allowing one to look out to the breath-taking beauty that was Utopia. Luca Valentine now stood before Dante clad in skyblue robes and white sandals, her long curly aqua blue hair moving about alongside her robes, as if there was wind that only touched her. She smiled sweetly to Dante, as she did back at Devil May Cry, showing no signs of hostility. Now speaking plainly to the Devil Hunter. “It’s befitting that you would go out with a bang, unfortunate however, that your comrades – people who claim to be heroes – would leave you to die. How do you feel? Crossing the threshold between life and death can be a very tasking one. I imagine you must feel somewhat fatigued by it all.”

He slowly opened his eyes upon hearing a familiar voice, the one who had teleported them from his universe to Moon Valley. He sat up, having noticing that he was laying down on blue carpet, though it was comfortable he couldn't look like he was lacking anything.
His gloved hand slowly came up to his shoulder rubbing it lightly as he listened to the woman speak, a familiar scent hitting his nose. "You obvious don't know me as well as I thought you did." He spoke with a smirk, standing up and taking no time to brush himself and his coat off. "That's a nice look for ya... but c'mon, who ya' fooling? Sweet and Innocent just isn't your style."

A devilish smile graced the angelic face of Luca, serving as a contrast between what was physical and what was spiritual. “We were beginning to suspect you’ve forgotten.”The woman approached the silver-haired man’s position, with each step her body began to change, everything from the aqua hair through the blue eyes and down to the tiniest of cells changed. In it’s place was a woman who stood at five feet five inches and possessed a godly glow along her soft skin that only enhanced her physical beauty further. The black pixy cut returned upon her head but for only a second before it grew down past her waistline, remaining straight as bangs fell down at her narrow, thin black eyebrows. Brown eyes now looking the man over as her otherwise naked body was covered in Queen style robes colored blue with silver markings that resembled the foreign symbols on the Downward Spiral on the back and front of them, matching the colors of her throne room naturally. Nothing covering her bare feet as she ran a hand through her hair, looking at the Demon Slayer seductively. “Welcome to Utopia, midear. A home for the lost. Sadly this would now include you. Your realm of origin has been destroyed, compliments of The Arashi. I was only able to save so many.”

His smirk suddenly grew larger as he watched the events of her changing unfold. "Well now, that's quite a new trick." He walked up to her before walking around her, looking at her from head to toe. "Not to sound like an ass or anything... but nothing could save Domino city. It was too far gone, both you and I knew this."
"But anyways," His tone lightening up slightly as he stopped moving, "There has to be some reason I'm hear, I doubt you just brought me back to look at my pretty face." Dante always did have a funny way of getting right to the point. But he did have a point, why resurrect him if there wasn't a need for him?

Maricul brought a hand up to Dante’s cheek and stroked it gently after he said those words. Many would have been hesitant in losing a hand performing such an action, she on the other hand showed very little concern. Not like he’d bother, Maricul was able to regenerate limbs within seconds as just a mere vampire, no telling what the case was now existing as a deity.
“As pretty as your face is, you’re correct. There is a reason I brought you back.”
Maricul dropped her hand and began walking back to her throne.
“A new and very powerful threat makes siege for the realms as we speak. You have already met their brothers on the field of battle. We need all the help we can get if creation is to continue on its present course.”
Maricul turned back around to face Dante as she sat down on her throne.
“Then there’s the situation regarding our son….”

"I see, so we got another Veran on our hands... well don't that su-" He paused for a moment at her second comment, their son? Anthony had long since passed away sacrificing himself to revive Dante. "Wait..." at that moment Dante's tone was serious, "What about Tony? He's dead isn't he?"

“They‘re cut from the same cloth. Arashi; creations of Lord Yahweh. He took it upon himself to make a failsafe for all of creation hoping that in his efforts he would one day surpass even “The Creator“ itself. The one true omnipotent being in the universe.”
Maricul paused to allow it all to settle in. The Creator was everything Miracle and her brethren thought Lord Yahweh to be. Lacking a beginning and an end. Everything that is had its blessing to exist. Even The Arashi had its blessing to exist. It was the clay maker and they were the clay. The Count Dracula to their curse. The Seductress then took note of Dante’s question concerning Daikus.
“Our son lives on, Dante. He has been traveling throughout different realms and finds himself in Genesis. He is also wielding a power of a being you know all too well. The Prince of Darkness. Mundus.”

Dante's heart sank a little as he heard about what his son had done. To be honest he could probably give a rat's ass about the whole Veran aspect, I mean what, it was probably like the third time he would encounter the damn thing. "Well... that's a bit unsettling." He paused for a moment noticing that neither the force edge nor his dual handguns, Ebony and Ivory were on him.
He cursed to himself at the realization of what happened to them, just like him... they were eradicated in the blast. "Unfortunately we have a few problems if you want me to stop him." He stated patting himself down, "The first one is that my weapons were destroyed," His tone was that of someone who wasn't too happy with what he had just said. "And the second is, if he's done what I think he has... he probably has much more than that old statue's power."
He paused again, a look of defeat washing over his face as he about to speak his next words, "And if he's done what I think he has... I'm not to sure if either of us could take him out."

“Now, now, Dante. I have very little interest in fighting with my own flesh and blood, as it were. But anything that threatens the continuation of creation must be dealt with severely. Check your pockets.”
In the moments to pass, where Ebony and Ivory once rested, Dante would find dual 65. Calibers in their place.
“And your back.”
Dante would feel his father’s sword, the Force Edge resting in the sheathe now on his back. With the ability to switch between its awakened and slumbering states whenever the Devil Hunter so willed it.
“You weren’t the only one left behind that day, Dante. I took the worst of the blast and was annihilated by power that cannot be comprehended by sentient beings. The will of Yahweh tried to destroy me but it has only made me stronger. And as the days go on I continue to grow in ways that, again, sentient beings cannot comprehend.”
