Kara found her own excitement for the discussion up ahead increasing as time went on. Walk from tree to tree as she could not wait to tell Tori all about her secret, something she had to keep from her since they were children in fear knowing could change everything, her parents fear that is. Kara kept a positive attitude about the way her friends would react to the news even if it was a little on the naive side. Anyone else would be anixous over many different scenarios but Kara pushed all that negativity aside and focused only on the positive. What was there to worry about? A real friend wouldn't see her any differently and Tori was a real friend in her mind so only one question remained: how to tell her?
Kara was trying to decide which super power to demonstrate first. Her superhuman strength? Speed? Should she fly up to the moon and back? Tell her what kind of underwear she's wearing? Oh there were so many ways she could do this that it was almost impossible to decide until something clicked. "That's it! That what I can do. Why didn't I think of it before?" Patting herself on the back, Kara leaned back against a nearby tree and waited for Tori to show, smiling ear to ear while she did so. In fact she was using her super hearing right now to listen out for her, trying, but failing, to hold in all that excitement.

Tori was ready to go home and get some shuteye but a sudden urgent message from Kara had her heading towards the forest in the middle of the night, which really wasn’t the best idea in general but Tori was too tired to be thinking straight right now and Kara wasn’t always known for her reasoning. Rubbing her eyes to stay awake the redhead spotted the blond up ahead leaning up against a tree with a cute, yet pretty dumb looking smile on her face.
“All right….”
Tori trailed off as she finally approached Kara.
“What was so important that you had to drag me out to the forest in the middle of the night?”
This better be good. |

This was it. The moment of truth. She was finally going to be able to tell Tori her secret. Kara skipped forward and grabbed her best friend's hands, making sure not to accidentally crush the bones in them with her strength and pulled back on the wide silly smile a little so she could be taken more seriously. "Tori, we've been friends for a very long time and, and I feel like I can tell you anything. With that said I don't feel right keeping this from you any longer. There's something you don't know about me, something that sets me apart from a lot of people here and I wanted you to be the first of my friends to know about it." Kara wanted this moment to be memorable so she backed away a couple of feet and made sure there was enough distance between them so she could take off in a run without ramming into Tori. "Now this is going to sound weird but trust me it's going to be awesome. All right. Ask me what the weather is like in Jherrazad."

In the past Tori would’ve been taken aback by suddenly having her hands grabbed like that, but she had come to grow used to Kara when she got excited over something. Though it usually ended badly when she did get excited, hopefully this time would break that endless cycle. The redhead listened with interest, wondering where on Genesis she was going with this. Was she gay? Because Tori was going to yell at her if this was simply about her being a homosexual. Shinta and Lily didn’t make a spectacle out of it so why should she? But then she would request the strangest of things. Tori could only blink in response before deciding to just play along for now. The fastest they got through this the sooner she could crash in her nice warm bed at home.

Everything surrounding Kara decreased in speed by so much it was as if God clicked the slow mode button on life and she was the only thing not affected by it, but she knew better. In reality she was moving faster than the human eye could track movement. It took mere seconds for her to return to the forest after Tori spoke, wearing a gray medieval style helmet with a matching sword now in her right hand. "Hot." Kara lifted up the helmet's visor and stabbed the sword into the ground by her foot with the hilt now sticking out. She really didn't run all the way to Jherrazad and back, instead she entered her home's attic, grabbed some medieval equipment and came back but this was more than sufficient enough to show Tori that she had super powers.

Tori blinked and had to do a double take after rubbing her eyes to make herself more awake. Did she just---? Had she gone---? What!? Tori noted the helmet, Jherrazad was famous for their mix of medieval and modern days comforts but that didn’t look like a part of their standard issue armor by the Empress. Still, the woman had disappeared and reappeared so quickly it was as if she never moved at all. Magic trick?

Kara frowned a little bit while pulling the armored helmet off of her head and holding it under her arm. That wasn't exactly the response she was aiming for but Kara was confident that after displaying her other abilities to Tori that she would finally get it. "Well no, not exactly." Kara put the helmet down and then looked back to her friend. "If I was a magician could I know that you're currently wearing..." Kara activated her X-Ray vision and with one quick glance the clothes of Tori started to burn away to unveil the lingerie underneath. "A black barely three custom flex fit dreamfoam underwire bra with the matching flawless boyshorts two pack?"

Tori suddenly felt very exposed, despite the fact that she had all her clothes on, and covered herself instantly after Kara had successfully described her lingerie. The redhead soon let it go, recalling how long they’ve been friends and how they talked about it all before. It was a very lucky guess given the information she already had on her friend. Tori unfolded her arms and brought them back down to her sides.
“Good one. You almost had me there for a second. Look as fascinating as these magic tricks are was it really necessary to drag me out here? It couldn’t have waited until tomorrow?” |

Kara eyes lit up when she thought Tori was going to ask how she did that but the lights went dim when Tori just brushed it off as magic tricks. She had to think of doing something else a little bigger, something that Tori couldn't mistake as a simple trick you'd see on TV by a real magician but what? Kara could use her Super Breath to make the leaves blow, or punch a tree so hard it falls to the ground. She could even fly up to the top of a tree and use her Super Strength to tear up its roots from the ground but Kara soon had an even better idea, now smiling mischiefly while looking back at Tori.
"Ok I can see you're tired, let me give you a lift." Kara used her Super Speed to get behind Tori before she knew it and placed her hands tightly, not too tightly of course, underneath her armpits, around her waist and then lifted her up into the air, slowing down as they were now soaring high above all of Moon Valley. Giggling, Kara asked her friend, "How's this for a magic trick?" as they continued to fly above all of the city, the wind in their hair, looking down to see everyone appeared like ants at how high up they were.

Of all the things in the world there were only two things that Tori was afraid of. Heights and falling from them. Thanks to Kara Tori now found herself in a position where both things could occur back to back and all she could do was scream. The fear of being so high up overshadowed the fact that one of her friends were able to defy the laws of gravity and fly through the air without wings.
“K-Kara! Please! Put me down!”
Tori covered her eyes, not wanting to be seen crying as she was carried helplessly through the air by her larger than life friend. What ever happened to the classics? Like driving somebody home in your car after just getting your driver’s license and everything? |

Was that crying? Kara felt horrible at how much she had upset her best friend. Her eyes softened for the redhead in her clenches as she quickly swoosh down to the ground and they finally arrived to the backyard at Tori's house. Kara made sure to place Tori back down on the ground gently, turning her around and holding her close as she began to sooth her frightened friend. "It's ok, Tori. Everything is going to be ok. You know I would never do anything to hurt you, right? I didn't know you had such a problem with flying." Kara felt like an idiot, as long as they've known each other how could she not know Tori didn't like flying? At least she knew now and would make a note not to take her on anymore flights in the near future.

Oh thank God, she was back on the ground where it was safe. Kara did her best to console her and Tori did appreciate it, trying to let her know that it wasn’t her directly that had made her cry. Then the obvious abnormality staring her straight in the face finally came into view. Her friend just flew across the air and brought her home in no time flat.
“Y-you flew!”
Tori eased herself out of the hold by her friend and took a couple of steps back, not out of fear but sheer amazement at what she has witnessed here today. Yes, Tori has witness a lot of strange things during her time here, but none of it ever involved somebody flying through the air in this manner.
“Then that mean before---! Oh god, Kara!”
Tori covered herself up again, modesty appearing on her face in a form of a blush, a nice shade of pink covering her cheeks now.
“Find a better way to demonstrate your secret than…. than…. than that!”
Fear of heights notwithstanding Tori seem to be far more upset at her friend seeing through her clothes than taking her out for a flight. When the blush finally came down and she uncovered herself Tori began to focus more on the demonstration of power she’s seen here tonight.

Kara suppressed a chuckle knowing that she shouldn't laugh at Tori while she was blushing, but she couldn't help finding it all rather amusing. Tori was such a modest girl and that was one of the many attractive things about her, being beautiful but not being stuck up about it. "I'm sorry, Tori. I just wanted to see the look on your face. It's not like I'm Nex." Nex would certainly love to have X-Ray Vision, everyone in Tori's circle would know exactly what he would do with that power. Good thing he didn't possess it. After what felt like forever Tori finally asked the question Kara was waiting to hear. "What are you?"
"I have super powers. I'm a superhero! Well technically I'm an alien. I wasn't even born on this planet. I crash landed here fourteen years ago just outside of Moon Valley where my adoptive parents would find me. All my life I had these powers and they're still evolving. All my life I had to hide who I really am from the world, from you. I don't want to do that anymore. I wanted my best friends to know about me. I want to use my powers to help people."

Tori was at a lost for words. The friend she knew all these years was an alien from outer space with superhuman abilities. Even after all of these years, the countless mysteries that took her breath away, Moon Valley was still able to surprise her like no other nation in Jherra.
“I just can’t believe it….! Our little Kara suddenly isn’t so little anymore. What all can you do exactly?” |

"I can run real fast, I'm really strong, I have super breath, Heat Rays come out of my eyes, I can hear people from really far away and you already know about the X-Ray Vision and flying." Seeing how those two abilities stood out more in Tori's mind than the Super Speed she had demonstrated first. Kara was excited that Tori was showing such an interest in her, just like she knew she would. "Oh and I'm invulnerable. This one time a car smashed right into me and my body wrecked the thing upon impact! The driver was all right, luckily for me he was knocked unconscious and couldn't remember what he saw."
