History: Much of Lamia's life is shadowed in mystery. Rejected by both elves and humans for being a half elf, Lamia was sold to slavers at an early age and spent most of her early life working. It is unknown who her parents were or what happened to them after her birth. Victimized in more ways than one, Lamia was tempted into learning the dark arts to defend herself. Reading about the exploits of the vampire Maricul who mastered a technique known as "The Witch Within" and dedicated her life to her. Admiration soon turning into worship as she claimed her vengeance against those who enslaved her and escape imprisonment, converting the other slavers and forming the Cult of Maricul.
Lamia forsaked all other gods and declared Maricul as the one true goddess of the land. Surrendering her life to the vampire-witch and becoming the High Priestess of the Cult. Indulging in her lust for power and human flesh in order to get closer to her goddess, writing the scriptures that the Cult would follow claiming to be under the influence of Maricul herself and even going as far as to drink and bathe in blood. They had recently appeared in the desert region, fighting off Netherrealm demons that patrolled the area and taking over a former temple of the First Aspect and changing it to a place of worship for Maricul where Lamia teaches them the dark arts and how to be devoted followers of Maricul.
