Desert Storm [Open]

Jehanne turned around when Fukari jumped on the back of the great machine with her and met her sword strike with the surface of her shield.

Two knights were caught in the scorpion's tail as the other surrounding soldiers helped to get him off, a couple looking to pull him away from the tail while other attacked the tail directly with their blade. They had to abandoned their efforts however when the rocket from out of nowhere came in causing an explosion to erupt where it hit.

The Katana rebound off the shield as the Blind Assassin spun around Jehanne's position to her rear and aimed a second swing to slice through the exposed head of the knight.

Meanwhile the scorpion retreated into the ground releasing the men just in time for them to be destroyed by the in-coming rocket, the much larger machine the Blind Assassin and Jehanne were battling on closed in on the position of the jeep and threatened to suck it up into the vacuum towards its mouth.

"S***!" Nadia cursed when her rocket instead hit the men instead of the scorpion monster, that wasn't what she wanted to happen. She just hoped whoever commanded those men would understand what she was trying to do, as she reloaded her rocket launcher and was aiming for the scorpion monster when she felt a strong pull towards something.

"Hang on!" Rebecca said as she tried to swerve her jeep out of the vacuum's range, she didn't want to know what would happen if they were sucked into the monster machine's mouth. Nadia then turned her weapon from the scorpion to the machine in front of them as she smiled as she switched the rocket launcher from single shot fire to a burst shot, as she aimed it at the monster's mouth and pulled the trigger. Immediately four rocket burst out of the launcher and straight into the monster's mouth, hopefully that would be enough to stun the monster long enough for them to get out of its range.

[Jehanne]

The rest of the reinforcement who stayed out of the rocket's trajectory returned to the catapult and loaded up another projectile this time aimed for the giant machine over yonder while others kept a look out for that damn scorpion. As Fukari spun around to Jehanne's rear Jehanne's dashed forward and out of the reach of the Katana before turning around with her own sword and shield at the ready. Another projectile flying through the air fired from the catapult and headed right for Fukari.

The Blind Assassin leaped off the back of the machine and back down against the desert sand as the projectile came towards Jehanne at the same time the rocket shot into the machine's mouth and exploded causing the machine beneath Jehanne's feet to collapse into the ground.

Both females sighed in relief when the machine collapsed from the explosion of the rockets, they then continued on to drive towards the knights who were fighting the machine just before. They were still using the catapults to fight against the machine, however effective it was, as they arrived at the location as they got off their jeep, ”Hey, tell me what’s going on, who are you fighting against?” Nadia asked grabbing the arm of one soldier.

[Jehanne]

Jehanne followed the Blind Assassin's movements, leaping off after her just as the projectile exploded across the back of the machine at the same time the rocket hit. Luck was on their side as the machine was finally bested and with the intervention from the scorpion currently led away the soldiers fighting the resistance began to push their way through and into the settlement while Jehanne kept her sights fixed on Fukari.

The commander of the reinforcement turned to the women and spoke, "We are facing a settlement of resistance forces who have refused our offer for peace being led by a vigilante known as the Blind Assassin. Watch your every step as this entire place has been rigged with traps." The commander made sure his men were keeping an eye out for the scorpion as only three of them were needed to work the catapult.

The Blind Assassin didn't attack Jehanne and there was still no sign of the scorpion from before. Fukari kept a hand on the hilt of her Katana ready to sheath it at any given second and was slightly hunched down with her feet a few feet apart. Ready for battle. The resistance over in the settlement gladly surrendering their lives to defend their home from the new Empire.

"Resistance huh?" Nadia said looking out towards the settlement where she could see what the soldiers meant, the desert was a perfect place to hide traps and no doubt there would be numerous traps lining the entire path to the settlement. However at the same time she had to check whether she really was fighting on the right side, sure they said that they were resistance fighters but against what? "Those guys...what are they exactly resisting against? Who are you guys?" she asked.
