The Demon and the Daddy (Rao)

After leaving Summer after their meeting Eleanor was still curious about Rao’s world, she had never heard of such a world where demons existed. She imagined such a world where demons she read about in books come to life and terrorize the everyday people, it would be a scary place to live in and Eleanor wouldn’t know if she would be able to live in such a place. Sure she had Delta to protect her, but there was only so much he could do against creatures like those, but who knows? Perhaps she would meet a demon here in Genesis, it wasn’t that much of a stretch after all she saw so far.

At the moment the two of them were still exploring Elysios, the city still as amazing as ever, ”Daddy do you think we’ll explore places such as this?” she asked Delta as he groaned in response, ”hmmm…perhaps you’re right, but then again even if those places are dangerous I still have you to protect me right?” she said as Delta rumbled in agreement as Eleanor smiled, ”it was nice meeting Summer and Rao wasn’t it? I wish I could talk to Rao more though…I want to learn more about her world.”

A burning itch in her ear. Oh, how she hated such things, honestly.. She flared her paper fan made of prayer slips once again, her mask faded away behind it and left nothing more than the face of the priestess remaining. Rao merely fanned herself as her disguise was perfected once again. Demon lords had a job to do in order to prevent gods from having their prayers and receiving their power - it only empowered demons more so to do such a thing anyway.

She left the place behind, the body nothing more than a pile of ashes behind her in that building. However, as she continued along her walk, Rao hardly even paused for a second as she caught sight of Eleanor and Delta. Those things again. So strange. Despite them obviously not being of the Moontribe, it still reminded her of them. Reminded her of how delicious they were. A content smile formed at the thoughts, though it remained hidden behind her fan.

Eleanor continued to explore the place with Delta, there were still plenty to look at and the people here were quite friendly to her. It was a great place to stay for a while as Eleanor smiled, Delta then tapped her shoulder as she looked at him before he pointed at a lone woman. It was none other then Rao, just the person she wanted to see, "What an excellent coincidence daddy, now I can ask all those questions I've wanted to ask her," Eleanor said.

She then ran up to Rao, "It's a pleasure to meet you here again Miss Rao, where did you go after we and Summers parted ways?" Eleanor asked as Delta was behind her playing bodyguard as usual.

"Hnn," a sign of annoyance escaped her as she was approached, muffled a bit by her papers. Rao ofered a shrug of her shoulders towards the one asking her questions.

"Out and about." A simple enough answer. "I'm still trying to get used to this place altogether, to be honest. So, I've simply been wandering about to try to understand this place better. Taking refuge in the houses of those kind enough to offer it to me. That is about all I've been doing though and where I have been. I apologize if it's vague or unclear, but it is the truth."

Both of them did not hear the sound of annoyance that came from the woman's mouth, as Eleanor nodded, so Rao also didn't have a permanent place to stay. Just like the two of them, as they were more like tourists then any residents here, she would like to stay in Elysios as it was a nice place. But the Republic of Xarnasis is probably a better place, even if they are always under attack for one reason or another, "I didn't know that you were wandering around the place, it's the same with us though we've taken a lodging in one of the inns, though of course we can't always stay there for the duration of our stay so I suppose we'll have to depend on the kindness of strangers soon," Eleanor said.

She then remembered why she was seeking Rao out in the first place, "Oh yes, Miss Rao, if it's not too much trouble may I know more about your world? I find your world very fascinating, especially the part about demons, so are all demons evil or are there good demons as well?" Eleanor asked.
