The Calm of War (Open)

Eleanor looked around the city in awe, it was a spectacular sight and she was thoroughly enjoying herself here, Delta lumbering behind her like a giant bodyguard. After the debacle in Xanarnis the two of them decided to explore the outer regions and see what else they could discover in this new world, they knew about the attacks by some dark God. That didn’t scare Eleanor because she knew as long as the two of them didn’t enter into something that was over their head then she would be fine, though she was a little worried at how she would be able to escape the continent should that be the only option left for her.

From what she heard the other continent wasn’t any better, some entity was destroying cities and lots of people were getting killed either through a civil war or, currently, a plague that was decimating a city. Eleanor sighed as she wondered if anywhere was safe in this world, perhaps leaving Xanarnis was a bad idea after all, ”Hey Delta, you think we’ll be able to return to Rapture in the future?” she asked as her guardian merely groaned, a language that only Eleanor understood as she laughed, ”Yeah you’re right, who would want to go back to that delerict place? I’m happy that I’m able to break free from that prison, but it seemed we traded prison for a war…I hope I don’t lose you again Delta,” as Delta merely remained silent on that matter.

A shiny object then caught her eye as she gasped and jogged towards a stall that was selling some silverware, ”So pretty,” Eleanor exclaimed as the shopkeeper seemed pleased.

”The best silverware in all of Elysios, take your pick miss,” he said as Eleanor giggled like a little girl as she inspected each silverware. They were so intricate, so precise in the carvings, and the silver shone so brightly it seemed to be sparkling; she had never seen such beautiful objects before in her life. Most of the tableware in Rapture were rotted or made of metal, not beautiful or noteworthy so to her seeing silver for the first time might as well have been seeing gold for the first time.

Eleanor then saw a silver pendant that looked really pretty as she picked it out, she then reached out for her wallet which she had brought in Xanarnis, she and Delta had done a few part-time jobs while they were in the country and they earned some money. It would be enough for a few nights at the inn before they came back to Xaranis, ”I’ll take this one,” she said as the shopkeeper smiled.

”You have good eyes miss, I’ll give you a discount for that,” he said.

”Really? Thank you very much,” Eleanor said as she paid the pendant and went back to Delta, ”look Delta I brought a pendant, doesn’t it look pretty on me?” she asked as Delta gave a low rumble that showed approval as Eleanor smiled.

[Summer Fall]

One minute Summer was walking away with Tall Jake and the next she suddenly found herself standing outside what looked to be a jewerly shop, with a girl and a rather tough looking guy. She quickly looked around and saw nothing she had seen before. Wish a fustrated sigh she walked over to the girl, who was holding something silver.
"Excuse me?" She spoke to the girl. "but could you tell me where I am?". Summer glanced down briefly to make sure her sword was still in place and then brushed her long blonde hair out of her eyes.

Eleanor was interrupted by a female voice as she turned to see a young girl with long blonde hair and a sword by her side, she was asking where she was, probably a tourist like her, even though she was still shy when it came to talking to people, since her mother never allowed her to interact with others when she was in Rapture. She wanted to experience what it would be like to have a proper conversation with someone else, Delta was a good person to talk to her, but he wasn't much of a talker. "Sure, you're in the city of Light Elysios, are you a tourist like me?" she asked the girl.

[Ira]

The exploration of Ellim had gone well enough for the demon. It had brought it to this place for now. It had been enjoying the savage fights for a time in this place. This city of light. Elysios. Where people still bowed to their Gods.

Thin fingers played with the black hair in front of her right eye, ensuring it was covering the eye as she wandered about. Her hand dropped down from her hair and down to the red beads which formed her necklace before finally dropping down to be at her side. With her left hand, she fanned herself with her usual red-inked prayer slips as she meandered about. However,her eye landed on the rather...strange looking duo speaking with the blonde.

What were they?

She concealed her face with the fan of the prayer slips, studying them from across the way. How strange they were indeed. They didn't even look fit for consumption. Oddly enough, to a degree, they reminded her of the things those Moon Tribe people often attempted to work on with their 'knowledge'. She remained a few feet away from them, instead turning her attention towards the window of this jewelry store, listening to their conversation.

[Summer Fall]

Summer laughed as she suddenly got a very funny feeling of being watched. She decided to shrug it off. "No, I'm not a tourist. I'm here with my mentor, we got dragged here from our deminsion. I was with him a few moments ago and now I'm here, so I guess the same thing must have happened again." Summer held out a hand to the girl. "I'm Summer, by the way. Nice to meet you." She didn't plan on explaining anything else about herself, not sure to how the girl would react.

Summer wasn't the only one that felt like she was being watched, Delta had gained sort of a sense for danger seeing as how he fought all across Rapture to obtain Eleanor. He knew about danger and he was always ready for danger, after all that was what he was created for, he looked around the area to see who could be watching them; but found no one that was directly looking at them in any suspicious way. Therefore the only thing he could do was be on the alert and if need be protect Eleanor with his life, "Nice to meet you Summer, I'm Eleanor Lamb, and this is my daddy though I sometimes call him Delta. Did you get dragged from your world too? So did we, but I have to say this world is a lot better then from where I'm from," Eleanor said with a chuckle.

[Ira]

A lamb? How strange. Certainly did not seem like a lamb. Rao continued to fan herself with her slips of paper. Occasionally, she would lean over to one side to the other to keep looking over the window as she listened to the rather strange group. Some of the items were interesting, things humans would fall in love with easily. Silly how such creatures would be drawn to such petty things. Then again, not everyone or everything could be born with the aspiration, the drive, the will power, or just the power, to pursue a path that led to essentially being a god of sorts in their own right. A quiet 'hmph' came from the woman at the thought while she looked through the window.

[Summer Fall]

Summer nodded atowards the girl. "I was. I guess it doesn't really matter for me anymore, what worlds are good or not. I cant actually go home." She got a sad look in her eyes, but it was gone in a flash. Suddenly, she started to spin around, looking for the presence she had felt. "Where is it coming from?" She asked out loud, in a rather irritated tone. "There is someone here spying on us, but I cant see who!"

Eleanor looked at Summer sadly, it was true that none of them were able to return home at the moment, Eleanor was actually conflicted whether or not she should go home or not. Rapture wasn't exactly a home, it was more of a prison for her, a place where she was nothing more then a mascot for her mother's propaganda. She hated that world, she never wished to return to that world again, but here...here she was free and she was able to meet all sorts of people as well as learn so much more then she could have ever imagined. "It's alright, one day you'll be able to go home," Eleanor said with a smile.

Delta agreed with Summer's statement that someone was watching them, he could feel it, he scanned the entire area his yellow light becoming red. Who was it? Who was watching them? His hand burst into flame as he activated his Incinerate plasmids, while his other hand held the rivet gun.

[Ira]

Others who had lost their homes or found themselves here. Strange. Was the Dark Lord sending more to test the ninetails then? Perhaps. No. He would not do such a thing. Not when he was attempted to expand his control - not that the ninetails could not handle it. But why run that risk when attempting to consume it all in darkness?

Strange. Very strange indeed.

Rao fanned herself with her slips of papers.

Seemed they were somehow catching on that they were being listened to. Understandable.

"So you've lost your homes too, then?" She asked softly, looking over towards them from the window. Her voice was sweet, a hint of innocence behind her words. Rao collapsed her 'fan' of prayer sheets, dropping them down as well.

[Summer Fall]

Summer smiled at Eleanor with the strange bodyguard and nodded.
"Oh, I know I will. Its just a matter of time and if my mentor finds me.". She said this like there was no doubt in her mind that he would find her, and take her home. Then when she heard the soft women's voice, she spun around to face a strange looking lady with paper fans, whom she had noticed earlier.
"Oh!". She exclaimed. "You must be the one who was watching us." She was glad to have it figured out now. "And yes, it seems we have all lost our homes. Are you able to get back to yours?"

[Mewtwo]

Eleanor smiled back, it's always nice to have someone that cares for you and are willing to go great lengths to find you. She had that in Delta who would do anything to find Eleanor if she ever went missing, of course he can be a bit over protective sometimes and sometimes she had to calm him down before he accidentally attack someone. "Where is your mentor by the way?" she asked curiously.

Delta turned to the speaker as Eleanor put a hand on his arm, there was no need to go immediately violent here since that would not give a good impression of them. Delta slowly put his hands down though he kept a watchful eye on the woman, "Why were you watching us?" Eleanor asked.

[Ira]

"I apologize. I was just curious about the things you were saying when you spoke of different places. I did not mean to cause alarm or to make you uneasy," the woman said softly, a slight frown forming on her lips. She brought a hand to rest near her chin as she looked downward slightly, as if in thought. Rao finally shook her head though.

"As far as I know, I will not be able to return to Nippon. I do not foresee there being a chance, despite my prayers. It is a shame my temple will be without me for the foreseeable future." They didn't need to know there was a rather specific reason why she would not be able to return to that temple or the land of Nippon as a whole. 'Snowy' wouldn't have any of that, now would she? The frown remained in place upon her rose-colored lips. She again shook her head and gave a slight sigh.

"As far as watching, well, and...he? Are not like anything I have ever seen in all of Nippon." Again, not entirely true, but her words were laced with such a sweet and innocent tone (practiced for many many years), why would one doubt her words? I was curious though, to be honest, afraid. I did not know what to make of you two. So different. You seem to not be a demon at least, thankfully. I am tired of being terrorized by such things, at least that seems to have been left back home for me, though that makes me worry for my temple and the capital all the more."

[Summer Fall]

Summer grinned before answering Eleanor. "His name is Tall Jake. He's rather scary looking, and he hides his face a lot. And he's really tall." She added the last part in case they thought his name was a joke to his height.
Turning to the women who had been listening to them, she gave a small smile. "Don't worry, I won't harm you at all, and so far these two seem very kind." She nodded in the direction of Eleanor and Delta. "Maybe we can all try and help each other find a way home?" she suggested.

Eleanor tilted her head to the side as the other woman spoke to them, from what she could gather it seems that the woman came from a place called Nippon, which if she remembered her studies with her mother was the ancient word for Japan. Well the woman did look Japanese so that would make sense, but what about the temple part? ”You mentioned temple, are a you priestess? Which god do you worship?” Eleanor asked, she had learned about the Greek gods when her mother was teaching her, but she always wondered if other religions had their own set of gods as well.

Demon? So the world that the woman came from was inhabited by demons? That was a scary thought, Eleanor wouldn’t know what she would do if demons came knocking to visit, ”You must be a brave woman if you want to face the demons all by yourself, does that mean you have uhm…what’s it called…oh yes magic, so do you have magic in your world?” Eleanor asked again.

She also agreed with Summer’s statement to help each other find their own worlds, though Eleanor would prefer to stay here even if that offer was given to her. She would stay here to help the lost people who had been taken from their world, a lifetime of helping people was much better then a lifetime of solitude.
