Sector 8 of Isafaro has always been home to the most notable research facility in the region. For many years the surrounding neighborhood has only been able to speculate on what all goes on inside from the sounds heard at night. Mattie Rhodes was about to find out exactly what did go on in such a place. Infiltrating the facility dressed as a scientist to reach the lower levels using Mr. Lizard restrained to a stretcher as a specimen she was meant to bring in and examine. On a regular day this would have ended badly for Biohazard and she'd be result to fight her way through as they were found out through one simple background check. But luck was on their side as the Core of Isafaro lit up the night's sky and their computers began feeling the damage allowing Mattie to slip by with Mr. Lizard into the lower levels without any trouble. Reaching the basement Biohazard walked down a corridor with Mr. Lizard seeing several rooms where different bio-wares were being held. While not all of them was the product of radiation like she and Mr. Lizard, a fair few of them were and that was all she needed as justification to release them onto an unsuspecting public. Setting up in a spare room Biohazard shut down the cameras inside the room and released Mr. Lizard before turning to the computer in the room. Mr. Lizard left the room and began attacking the other scientists in the room, creating a big enough diversion while Biohazard unlocked the other bio-weapons who were quick to flee from their rooms and begin to wreck the place. Biohazard left the room and launched a Neutrino Bolt at one of the guards who came towards her. Reuniting with Mr. Lizard and making their way back up to the main floor. The place was about to be sealed off but Mr. Lizard kept the door opened long enough for Biohazard to get through. The other bio-weapons were sadly on their own now as both Mattie and Edward found themselves on the receiving end of armed soldiers, vehicles and helicopters in the sky. One of the patrols behind their patrol car lifted up a megaphone and began speaking. “Put your hands up!”“All right! Let me just see if I got this straight. You want me to stick my hands...”Mattie rose up her arms, palmed directed at the patrolmen. “Up!”A conical blast of free electrons erupted from both of her palms hitting their vehicles and blowing them up into the air causing the patrolmen to change position. X-Ray beams shot out of her eyes hitting the soldiers as they moved and more Neutrino Bolts were sent up into the air blowing the helicopters out of the sky. Biohazard and Mr. Lizard watched while the helicopters crashed nearby and the patrolmen left incapacitated as they proceeded down the stairs at the front of the research facility and began to take their leave of the place, having accomplished what they came here to. |

It wasn't hard to track down where Mattie was in Isafaro, all Radiation Girl had to do was follow the place where the most destruction was happening. It led her to the outside of the research facility but she was too late, the damage has been done and terrible bio-weapons were escaping all because of her friends. Dressed in black and yellow with an eye mask to protect her identity, Radiation Girl stepped out in the open in front of Mattie's sight and called out to her.
“Mattie!”
The masked heroine kept her eyes on both Mattie and Edward, still not believing what her radiation has done to the two. And all because she was unable to forgive being left for dead in that nuclear reactor. This was all her fault.
“What are you doing, Mattie? What is all of this?”

Biohazard halted her movement and turned her head alongside Mr. Lizard to see a woman in a ridiculous outfit. That woman turned out to be none other than Roxanne herself as at this close of range Biohazard could practically taste the radiation pouring off the woman's body.
“Seriously? You look ridiculous.”
Biohazard then heard Roxanne's question and couldn't help but laugh. To think she actually had to ask what she was doing here.
“What you made me to do!” she shouted back. “What you made both of us to do!”
Biohazard motioned over to Mr. Lizard as she spoke.
“Don't think because you're running around here like a cliché comic book superhero that you get to judge anything we do. This is on you. ALL of this is on you!”

Mattie certainly didn't waste any time reminding Radiation Girl of the painful fact this was all her fault, and she wouldn't contest it. It was all her fault and that was why she were here in the first place. To rectify her mistake with as few casualties as were possible at this point. Her eyes glanced over to Edward, horrified that a simple touch from her before learning how to control her powers had caused such a mutation. She wished she had never went to school the day after the accident. If only she had turned herself in sooner, then all of this disaster could have been avoided. If only...
“I didn't mean for this.”

“But you meant something.”
Biohazard lifted up her right-hand index finger and pointed it at Roxanne, shaking it.
“The way you disguised your malice intent through an act of forgiveness. You had to of known something would happen to us or otherwise you wouldn't have bothered with such a display. Who's the real villain here?”
Biohazard lowered her right-hand and watched to see the expression on Roxanne's face while at the same time making sure anymore Vulture didn't come popping up while the two were speaking. Mr. Lizard was staring at Roxanne's intensely, never letting his reptilian eyes off of her.

“You're right. I did mean something. But not this.”
Radiation Girl began to take a couple of steps closer to the pair, keeping a close eye on both to see how they'd react to the movements before proceeding to get any closer to them.
“I was angry. I felt betrayed, abandoned. The only thing I wanted was to make you feel as badly as I did. But never at such a great of cost.”

“What did you think? That I just shrugged it off like it was nothing? That I didn't shed so much as a single tear!?”
Biohazard's rage was beginning to grow and a bright green glow surrounded her body as warning to Roxanne to stay the hell away.
“There was nothing we could have done to save you! The place was falling apart and who could have foreseen that anyone could survive being in that much waste? I mourned for you! My heart was shattered and I blamed myself. I couldn't sleep, I couldn't eat. I was relieved beyond belief to find you at school the following morning! I had thought it all a terrible dream. But it wasn't. My home, my parents, Ted, they're all gone because of you. Just look at what you've done to Eddie! To me! We felt like you did, Roxanne. Believe me. We felt like you.”

Radiation Girl saw the bright green energy that shined around Mattie like an aura, coming to a full stop at where she was, eyes scanning Edward who looked to be ready to lash out and attack her had she taken one more step closer to the pair.
“I know. I see that now. I'm here to make amends. To rectify the mistakes I've made so if you must take your anger out on someone, take it out on me. But we both know it is not the people of this city you're angry with.”

Biohazard could only let out another laugh at Roxanne's reply. She really was taking this whole “superhero” thing seriously. Make amends? Rectify? It was far too late for that.
“You're right. I hold no ill-will towards anyone in this city. In fact, I want to turn what you saw as a curse into a beautiful gift. We're better than they are, Roxanne. That much Edward and I have seen. And though many will fight us we believe strongly that many more will want to be made perfect. I do not wish to destroy but to create.”

Radiation Girl couldn't believe her ears. It was clear the radiation had done more than just alter her body, it was messing with her brain if she honestly thought the victims of this radiation were superior to humans.
“You don't mean that, Mattie. I know you. I know you wouldn't wish this terrible fate on anybody.”

“You don't know me!”
Biohazard shouted, having to take a deep breath and calm herself down. She still had a job to do after all and she couldn't afford to waste anymore time either talking or fighting the woman standing across from her. That she would leave to none other than Mr. Lizard. He had a lot of pent up anger of his own to unleash on their former friend.
“I'm beginning to think you never knew me at all. Mr. Lizard. Be a dear and keep our friend company, would you? I have business to attend.”
Biohazard turned around and began walking away from the site, leaving Mr. Lizard behind growling at Roxanne while slowly moving towards her.

“Mattie, please!”
Tears swelled up in Radiation Girl's eyes and started to drip down her eye mask as her old childhood friend began walking away, leaving Eddie behind to do her dirty work for her. Roxanne didn't want to fight him anymore than she wanted to fight Mattie somewhere down the line, but she didn't back up when he advanced. She held her ground and readied herself for a battle she didn't want to have while still trying to find some reason in this situation.
“Eddie, I don't want to fight you. If there is any trace of you left inside there then you know that what Mattie wants to do is insane! Do you really want to create a world filled with mutated lizards, human beings and God knows what else?”

That was just too bad for Roxanne because Mr. Lizard had no problem with fighting. He loved to fight, in fact. In a world where he was forced to be a mutated lizard man with claws, teeth and a tail what else could he do? There weren't many jobs looking for a mutated lizard apart and he didn't feel like being donated to science or the zoo. Once Mr. Lizard closed up the empty space between them in his walk he performed two quick swipes with his claws aimed for Radiation Girl's chest.

Radiation Girl moved her body to the left and right to avoid the creature's claws, meanwhile accelerating her metabolism to increase her strength to help her better hold her own against the mutated lizard. Closing her fist and coming back at him with a strong right aimed for his chest, readying her left hand for a follow-up punch if that one was blocked.

Mr. Lizard's body proved to be resistant to the physical damage behind the blows, as powerful as they were and released a loud hiss while swinging his tail at the right-hand side of Radiation Girl's girl upper-body with enough force to knock her off her feet.
