Now more than ever it was important for Elena to use her mastery in stealth to move about in Hallowton unseen. Not only did she have the crown searching for her as a lead to Integra's murder and defiling her corpse, but the rebels she had taken to feeding off to was also looking for the one who kept killing their men in the midst of their assignments. She had became an enemy of both and the vampiress had no intention on being brought in by either side. Elena still had a job of her own to do and it couldn't be halted because of a petty civil war between the rich and the poor.
Sebastian trail went cold and Elena ceased her attempts at finding him. The man was probably ran down by a semi on the way out of down and impaled on by a fence. There was still one other person that had answers and finding her was only a matter of time. Elena had allowed the nightmares themselves to lead her to the demon; Legion. The path led her to a dark alley in the poorer section of the city where the plague was at its worse. Her eyes looking out ahead of her to see a dumpster to the right-hand side of the alley and a fire escape on the left. Further down was a fence capable of climbing over with barb wire at the top. Elena sniffed the area and then looked over to the dumpster.
“Show yourself.”

Legion remained on the sidelines watching the chaos that had befallen Hallowton as a result from Sebastian's own fall to the Nightmare. The Essence allowing her to bond with each and every victim it touched, allowing her eyes and ears into people she would have never otherwise come to know. One in particular stood out the most among them. One that did not fear the Nightmare that now coursed through her soul. Instead this victim allowed it to lead her straight to the demon child. They wanted to find her.
The blood red eyes settled on this person as they entered the alley, clothed entirely in black. She was a vampire; a creature of the night that had been feeding on plagued blood just to keep alive while afflicted with the plague herself. It was amazing what one would do in their desperation. Legion had to wonder why it would choose to even go after her. Did this woman truly expect the demon child to tell her anything? Did she expect her to even know anything? Regardless the demon child would appear, unable to ignore such a demand for her presence. It was unheard of as those few who knew her would have torn an entire city apart just to keep her away and here was someone calling her out. It was exciting. Elena would feel a cold chill creep down her spine, the hairs on the back of her neck standing up as the demon child appeared...
Right behind her.

The chill rushed down Elena's spine and nearly paralyzed her before the hair on the back of her neck stood at attention. Immediately the vampiress spun around, her first instinct to launch an attack but she stopped her right-hand halfway and remembered what she came here for in the first place. Answers. The vampire was ready for a fight if need be but if there was a chance to avoid one why not take it? Elena lowered her arm and showed no hostility towards the demon child, meanwhile remaining on the alert in case the child herself made the first mood.
“You must be Legion,” said Elena stating the obvious. “I'll be honest, I wasn't expecting you'd be a child.”

Legion remained unmoved as the vampire turned around and appeared ready to launch an attack, as if already knowing that the woman had no plans to finish her move, or maybe she didn't care. The vampiress would have no true way of knowing as the crimson eyes of the demon child bore into hers with a stare that was enough to make the boils on her skin burn. The demon child remained silent while the vampire spoke, and when the vampiress' voice returned to the silence, as all things do, it was ruptured yet again by the voice of Legion herself:
“What it is, is beyond the boundaries of knowledge.”
Soon as Legion finished speaking she moved faster than even the vampire's keen eye could track, already standing behind her position again forcing her to spin around if she wanted to keep an eye on the child. The demon itself appearing every bit as pale skin as the vampire, and every bit as dangerous.

Elena spun around when Legion moved. Okay, so she was fast. Really fast. Even by the vampiress' standards. She'd have to make extra sure that the demon child didn't catch her off guard like that again.
“Are you the one responsible for the plague?”

Legion could feel the vampire tense up, not used to dealing with people who could match her speed or potentially overcome it. That was a feeling she would have to get used to as time went on as she was far from the fastest thing on the face of the planet anymore. The demon child listened quietly to the vampire's question, asking if she was the one who set loose the plague on the city. In a way she had been. It was through her own plague of the Essence into Sebastian that prompted him to see what he saw, to react in the way he reacted and the results were seen plainly by the boils on Elena's skin and the pain in her body. But it was only through proxy that Legion was responsible for this chaos for it was Sebastian's own hand that had created the plague and therefore making it his responsibility. It was to be expected though that Legion would be blamed for more than she could take credit for. Her answer came in a single word.
“No.”

No. That meant it had to have been Sebastian, then. Unless the demon child was lying which was always a possibility. But there was no way to know for certain unless she could catch the demon in a contradiction. For the sake of argument she would assume Legion was telling the truth and it was Sebastian who released the plague on Hallowton. Why? For what purpose? Just to cause pain and suffering? And why did Legion's energy register from it?
“Your presence is all around us like Sebastian's. Coming directly from the plague itself. Why?”

“We are connected through the Essence...”
Legion remained standing right where she was, like a statue with a haunting gaze that wouldn't budge no matter how hard you tried to push it from the surface it was standing.
“It was the Essence that brought about the boils on your skin and the pain in your lungs. It used Sebastian as an extension to spread itself through an entire city. A plague of boils and fear. The Nightmare lives in you and all others who are inflicted with the sickness. It will not allow them to die. Instead... it will doom them to an eternity of sickness... An eternity of suffering...”
