Goddammit, Sazan...
Would she ever see sense? Ranka had never not been on their side. Everything he'd ever done had been to their benefit, regardless of his methods. And now the Witch Within was on the loose in Isafaro's back yard...
Sparda shook his head and withdrew the phone again. Navigating back to the menu Ranka had been on moments before, he deactivated both null field generators. It was a big risk, but if their activity wasn't keeping Sazan under lock and key, he figured he may as well give it a shot.
Sazan would never see him coming. From the very shadows beneath her feet, the Dark Knight struck out, a barrier of energy forming over the console to seal it away before his Sakhayl lance jutted up out of her shadow to nudge her torso, delivering a shock powerful enough to knock her unconscious.

The Red Queen was really starting to dislike this Sazan. Insufficient data was always a dangerous thing and they really didn't know much about this woman aside from the fact she was a human, vampire hybrid and daughter of Maricul. She also possessed a highly dangerous ability known as the Witch Within. However, it seemed like the humanity in the hybrid was far more dangerous than that of her mother's heritage. It was time to get to work. Red Queen existed in every piece of technology in Isafaro from the auto-target system, to the cameras, computers and cellphones. She was truly the omnipresent being of of the Crimson Vulture and she wasn't about to be one upped by one woman regardless of how formidable her hacking ability was.
Already the Red Queen had began to overload the consoles in the control panel as soon as Sazan started firing. She was quick though meaning the Red Queen was cut off before the overload systems could finish destroying panels leaving only half unusable. Realizing that she was being hacked the Red Queen wasted no time with the barrier and instead focus on combating the invasion on her systems to ensure no more surprises while returning the power to the top floor and stopping the gas allowing Ranka to get to his office. She also received the cellphone number that Sazan had dialed just as insurance before Sazan destroyed the evidence manually. Seeing that Sparda was putting a command into the cellphone that would have screwed them all over, the Red Queen denied it. The words “Access Denied!” would flash in big bright red letters on the screen before Red Queen's face reappeared on it.
“Are you trying to get us killed, Mr. Sparda?”
Instead the Red Queen secured a path to Sazan for the Dark Knight to take by going through the hole and working to overwrite the seal of the room below. A second wave of soldiers headed for Sazan's position, holding manual rifles and possessing training in order to shoot by their own means. Two teams for both sides of the control panel. A third and forth unit respectively being deployed to the floor above and below Sazan's position just in case. There was nowhere for Sazan to run without being filled with bullet holes.

Well, that plan was short-lived. Before he'd even been able to set off, his access to the controls of the null field generators was abruptly snatched from him, followed by a sardonic scolding from the AI who ran the place. "Seemed the null field was only holding me back," came his retort. Grumbling, he pocketed the phone. "I guess I'll just have to outfight her. Shouldn't be a problem."
With that, the devil was off, sprinting down the hallways that had been opened to him. Soon enough, a violet blur bore down upon Sazan, crossing the corridor she had dropped into in an instant and throwing a powerful right hook at the side of her head.

Ranka watched carefully as the security protocols of his office were activated the moment he stepped out of the elevator just as quickly as they were overridden. Sazan had clearly infiltrated part of their systems and the Red Queen was doing her best to contain the damage. The head office of the tower was a fortress in itself and the commotion from downstairs couldn't be heard by anything. Judging by the speed at which Sazan was proceeding with her hack however, it was easy to determine that she had accessed the control room. Good.
He rushed over to a nearby wall with a number lock. He entered the 8-digit code and... nothing. He tried again to the same effect. The wiring was malfunctioning due to the blackout. He tried to remember the specifics of the system. It would take approximately five minutes for a system reset. Seriously?
Deeming he had wasted enough time on the safe, he headed for his desk and opened a hidden drawer while unfastening a familiar tripple-barrelled weapon from the underside of the oak piece. He took a number of small objects and pocketed them before finally holding the massive Quicksilver in his hand once more. He took a moment to ensure the weapon was ready, and produced a bandolier from the drawer which he quickly attached to himself. Last but not least he adjusted a newly-crafted silver-tanned gauntlet to his left hand. Admittedly, he couldn't separate himself too far from his favorite toys.
He took an additional moment to ensure he was ready before speaking.
''Beam me down, Red Queen.''

Sazan activated a field barrier in the path of the doorway Sparda had just about gotten through due to his speed, stopping him dead cold in his tracks before he could get anywhere close enough to throw that punch. Continuing her hack of the Vulture's systems as Ranka battled with the worse safe lock in history.
“Come on. I know you're in here.”
Sazan was flipping through old files of Vulture during the battle with Red Queen. Looking for one file in particular. She wasn't surprised to see the General's playlist was deleted however if she knew the Vulture...
Vulture Playlist.copy
Sazan smiled and hit played.
Ohohohoho ho-ho-ho ho-ho-ho oh-ho-ho-ho-ho
Ohohohoho ho-ho-ho ho-ho-ho Lololololooo...
AAIIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE eeeee-eeeee-EEEEEEEEE!
To Ranka, the Red Queen and everyone else it was just an unfortunate backup of a horrid playlist. But unbeknownst to them all it was a lot more than that. General Vulture was as paranoid as he was crazy. He knew that if his empire was to ever fall it wouldn't be from outside forces, it would be from within. That paranoia became justified the moment Ranka had taken over his entire operation from within. The backup was actually a virus that would infect every single system inside the Core of Isafaro, activating the self-destruct systems to them all. The Red Queen would be the first thing to be go offline so she couldn't interfere with nature. Had Red Queen tried turning off or deleting the playlist beforehand it would have gone off automatically. Vulture knew how much everyone hated his taste in music. The first warning that anything was off would be when Red Queen didn't reply to Ranka's command. The second would be when Ranka's office exploded with him still inside it at the same time the entire floor did.
One by one every floor in the tower ignited, meanwhile the surrounding military and research bases that operated in the Core would go up in smoke as well. General Vulture would have seen the entire heart of Isafaro destroyed before going into the hands of a traitor. She would assume that included gay emo vampires with terrible fashion sense. The null-fields were taken offline just in time as Sazan, who never disengaged her Witch Within which was abruptly shut down by the field, returned to her Witch Within form and rocketed out of the wall across from her position by the computer console leading to the outside and leaving the now burning rubble of Isafaro's core behind as she traveled through the sky to meet up with Stark who was already on his way in one of Harker's carriers.

That was until a fully charged shot of the Quicksilver struck her in the gut.
Sazan, though having obviously planned for her eventual encounter with Ranka - had severely underestimated her adversary's ability to be just as obsessive as she had been during the layout of her incursion.
The process of re-purposing all of Isafaro's effectives had been obvious once the Red Queen had shown him that the tower - and all the systems within - were structurally compromised by Vulture's insanity. He had personally re-written some of the AI's coding to ensure she could integrate herself within any piece of RAM in the city, and by extension use it to combat any form of cyber war-fare that came her way. With the ability to process literally millions of commands at once, no hacker in one dimension or the next would ever be able to legitimately compromise her. Once the reprogramming was complete, the parts of her function that had disabled her ability to view the general's virus were lifted and she had already compiled a series of contingency plans in the advent that it would ever get activated. The first and most obvious choice had been to internalize the entire tower's network as to ensure it wouldn't be able to spread to any other part of the city as it's source came from the lone console in the General's office. The second had been to disseminate it's encryption to write a counter-measure. Everything was ready to stop it, but the vampire had belayed the order once the entire personnel save for the security assets had been confirmed to have been evacuated. He was trapped in his office, and he would have rather seen it burn than let Sazan get away. His familiars wrapped themselves around him as soon as the music started playing through the speakers, and a gargoyle-like figure emerged from the flames as Sazan made her way towards Hallowton.
His aim had been flawless.

As expected Iron Man got plenty of resistance the moment he was caught in Vulture's airspace, several different aircrafts came to intercept the Harker Carrier as missiles, bullets and just about anything you can think of exited the Carrier to repel the jets that came his way. Putting the Carrier on auto-pilot, he suited up and flew out of the Carrier, the Carrier itself providing cover fire as he soared through the air towards Sazan's last position. He would arrive just in the nick of time, like always, to catch a falling Sazan out of the sky, putting more power into the suit as he flew off away from the gargoyle returning to the Carrier which were already firing more missiles at the beast.
Reentering the Carrier, Iron Man put Sazan down and then set up the auto-pilot to turn them back around and return to Hallowton before going back to Sazan, his helmet going down as he looked the woman over.
"Wow, that is a lot of blood. What they get you with?"

The bullets blew it way through her gut and left a large hole in their wake, blood falling down through the air and towards the ground below as her body followed suit. The wind picking up and blowing in her face as her body headed for a collision course to the ground until Iron Man swooped in and saved the day as he always did. Taking her back into the carrier to look her over, just in the nick of time.
"Wow, that is a lot of blood. What they get you with?"
“Custom, Cal. 16mm.”
Sazan coughed out more blood.
“Silver cased, armor piercing, explosive core blessed. The silver and the blessing doesn't hurt like it would a full vampire, but, well... human.”
Sazan leaned back against the wall behind her back, trying to relax and let her natural healing abilities mixed with the Witch Within to do its thing but it would take time. If Stark wanted to assist with a first aid kit she wouldn't protest. The main concern now was getting home, she had done all the damage she was going to do to Ranka today. And she was only getting started.

From the roof, to which the Dark Knight had found his way when he heard the gunshot, Sazan's skin-of-her-teeth escape was witnessed. His gaze unwavering, Sparda stared out across the skyline, his breath coming in furious hisses. His right hand clenched so hard around the phone, he crushed it. Finally, with a roar that echoed down the corridor, he knelt and slammed the same fist against the floor, denting the metal as easily as he'd have punched through stone.
"DAMMIT!" he screamed. "What the hell made me think bringing her here was a good idea?! I should've just left her with Harker, goddammit - now I might've started a war!"
