Space/Time (Doctor)

[Ayen]

A woman ran around in a large room frantically going from one console to another. The walls around her were covered in various weapons from different time periods, and even different worlds. Sweat poured down her face as she pressed every command she could think of on the console at the center of the room to make her ship move faster as a large blast followed her from behind throughout space destroying everything in its wake. Many would have given up this hopeless run and accepted their fate.

This woman planned to fight till the end.

“Come on! Come on!”

Her computers detected a rift opening up ahead of her, a rift that led to a whole other dimension but it was unstable. It would collapse in on itself before too long. That was fine by her, the last thing she wanted was this explosion following her through. Without thinking she flew her spaceship right through the dimensional rift holding on tightly as she made it out on the other side, the rift collapsing seconds before the large explosion could follow her through. The woman sighed in relief and wiped the sweat off her forehead. She could finally relax.

“Warning: second TARDIS detected!”

Or not.

“Warning: second TARDIS detected! Warning: second TARDIS detected!”

“No, no, no, no, no, no, no!”

The woman quickly went back to the center control panel.

“Enter the other TARDIS, now!”

“Warning: entering the second TARDIS may cause a space loop.”

“A space loop is a hell of a lot better than the other thing. Just do it!”

The second unknown TARDIS was about to have itself a visitor as the ones operating it would see a red police box materialize into view. The woman took a deep breath, cracked her neck and headed over to the doors of her TARDIS and opening them to emerge in the TARDIS she had materialize in to find...

[Doctor Who]

"Not possible." A young man was walking around the red police box, looking absolutely flabbergasted, "No, no this isn't possible. Well, for all intensive purposes it actually can be since universes are collapsing. Yes, and merging into one which means..." He took his sonic screwdriver out of his coat pocket and started scanning the other TARDIS. The Doctor stared down at the device, and it was a complete one eighty. One moment he was very curious and then, he claps once, and explodes into a loud cheer. "AHAH! YES! YES I SHOULD HAVE ANTICIPATED THIS! BRILLIANT!" This was possibly the best news he's had in centuries! Another Time Lord existed! They weren't all dead!

"Hello, yes! I'm the Doctor. Just the Doctor. Nice to meet you. This is my TARDIS, also known as 'Sexy', but she doesn't really talk," The Doctor patted the control console, "well in her own way she does. She did steal me away after all--now! Explanations, yes, explanations. You should tell me how you survived the Time War." The Doctor stopped his rambling, stared at the Police Box, and squinted his eyes, "...what? You have a Police Box too? I...what?"

[Ayen]

"Hello, yes! I'm the Doctor. Just the Doctor. Nice to meet you. This is my TARDIS, also known as 'Sexy', but she doesn't really talk."

The Woman was quiet as the man ranted about in her presence, still not fully believing that what she was seeing was real. But it was. Another survivor of the Time War. She wasn't alone!

"well in her own way she does. She did steal me away after all--now! Explanations, yes, explanations. You should tell me how you survived the Time War. ...what? You have a Police Box too? I...what?"

“Of course I have a Police Box did you think you were the only one?” she asked while looking The Doctor over bow tie and all. “I got out by the skin of my teeth. Some kind of dimensional rift opened up in front of me while I was fleeing from the explosion – it was collapsing so I went through it as quickly as I could and it closed before the explosion could follow me. Then my TARDIS detected another TARDIS in the area and I wound up here... I thought I was the only one who made it out. How did you survive?”

[Doctor Who]

The Doctor froze when she asked how he survived. This was not what he anticipated and he had to dodge the question as best as he could. "...ah, yes. Well there were complications that somehow allowed me to uh..." He again looked at the red police box, "...survive. How is it you got a police box so similar to mine?" He walked around it, sometimes tapping the exterior, and when he got to the door, he poked his head inside to take a quick look. As expected: bigger on the inside. Gods did it feel good to see another TARDIS!

"Oh, a beauty. Really is. But not like Sexy, no. Plus if she overheard me complimenting on another TARDIS' appearance she might get cranky. Probably send me to a planet of...flesh eating plants. Very nasty place. Been there before. You don't even want to know where the digested meat goes." The Doctor shuddered, "ANYWAYS! I don't believe I got a name."

[Ayen]

"...ah, yes. Well there were complications that somehow allowed me to uh..."

The woman looked on as he spoke eager to hear how he had survived and wondering if there were anymore Time Lords that managed to make it out even though she couldn't sense any of them. Just him.

"...survive. How is it you got a police box so similar to mine?"

“What?”

The Doctor started going around her TARDIS and she quickly followed suit.

"Oh, a beauty. Really is. But not like Sexy, no. Plus if she overheard me complimenting on another TARDIS' appearance she might get cranky. Probably send me to a planet of...flesh eating plants. Very nasty place. Been there before. You don't even want to know where the digested meat goes. ANYWAYS! I don't believe I got a name."

“I'm The Crusader. Of Time and Space. I've been hopping from one time period to the next learning the ways of war and collecting weapons to use in combat. That's how I found this.”

The Crusader pointed to the red crystal earring on her left ear.

“Handy digital weapon created by an alien race known as the Jokaero converts weapons into energy to be contained in the jewelry. Enemies never know what hit them. Literally.”

[Doctor Who]

"The Crusader. Well, at least people won't call you 'Doctor Who'. People always assume that I have a name after 'Doctor' when I don't." The Doctor patted the red TARDIS' exterior, and hopped away to his console to check the readings. So, The Crusader was collecting weapons for combat. "I see...well, personally I don't like weapons. They can be bad. Very bad." It brought back memories thinking of all the times he nearly used a gun. The most recent one weighed heavy on his hearts.

In a town called "Mercy", he was going to use a gun on someone. Had it not been for Amy Pond --god did he miss her and Rory--he would have pulled the trigger. "I see...so! I believe I'll be setting a destination now! Don't know where but I don't like staying in one place for long. Nothing exciting happening here, no one to help, and I'm looking in to this deal with the Arashi. Nasty business. They are going to destroy the universe if we don't come up with a way to stop them. I'll fill you in later!"

The Doctor started moving switches and turning dials.

[Ayen]

"The Crusader. Well, at least people won't call you 'Doctor Who'. People always assume that I have a name after 'Doctor' when I don't."

“Weird.”

"I see...well, personally I don't like weapons. They can be bad. Very bad."

“Well, they're not for everyone.”

"I see...so! I believe I'll be setting a destination now! Don't know where but I don't like staying in one place for long. Nothing exciting happening here, no one to help, and I'm looking in to this deal with the Arashi. Nasty business. They are going to destroy the universe if we don't come up with a way to stop them. I'll fill you in later!"

“Arashi? First it's the Daleks now it's the Arashi– The Daleks! Doctor, do you know if any Daleks made it out alive?”

[Doctor Who]

"They did." The Doctor glared at the switch he was about to pull and curled his fingers into his palm, "Somehow, someway they always find the means to survive! They're like Earth's cockroaches! They'll survive almost anything you throw at them even if it's your own boot!" First it was just one Dalek, then an army invaded earth, and the endless cycle with those vermin just kept spiraling. Had it not been for "Souffle Girl", they would still remember him. As far as the Daleks were concerned The Doctor was someone they didn't know. He was content to keep it that way. For now.

[Ayen]

"They did."

The Crusader's hearts sank. After years of war and the destruction of their own the one good thing that could have came from all of that was ruined by the Daleks uncanny ability to survive. Damn them all.

"Somehow, someway they always find the means to survive! They're like Earth's cockroaches! They'll survive almost anything you throw at them even if it's your own boot!"

“Then we have to get to Gallifrey before the explosion and warn the other Time Lords. Maybe together we can come up with a solution to this Arashi business as well.”

[Doctor Who]

The Doctor didn't want to answer that. No, no; she couldn't know what happened. It will either break one of the last Time Lords or something else. But...she had to at least know why they couldn't return. He leaned against the railing that surrounded the heart of the TARDIS, his TARDIS, and gathered the words. "...we...can't." The Doctor finally mustered out, "...Gallifrey is trapped in a time lock. No one can go in, and no one can get out."

[Ayen]

"...we...can't."

“What do you mean we can't?”

"...Gallifrey is trapped in a time lock. No one can go in, and no one can get out."

“What?”

The Crusader took a step back from The Doctor trying to process this information. A time lock? Who in blazes put a time lock on the place? Why would they put a time lock on the place or was it the cause of something else?

“But I got out. If I can get out then there must be a way back in. There has to be.”

[Doctor Who]

"Meaning there's absolutely no power in the 'verse that will allow us to get into that time lock!" The Doctor won't allow that time lock to be breached or even touched. He had his reasons, very good ones, and Gallifrey was going to stay locked up. "There ISN'T a way back in! Don't you see? You got away before the time lock was placed! There's NO way in and NO way for anyone to get out. We cannot lift it. It's permanent!" The Doctor pushed the lever down and the engine roared to life. If there was one way he could possibly get out of this conversation, it was to let "Sexy" take them somewhere.

"It's gonna be a bumpy ride! Hold on tight! Keep your hands, arms, feet, legs, and TARDIS inside until Sexy comes to a complete stop!" The blue police box shook from the travel.

[Ayen]

"Meaning there's absolutely no power in the 'verse that will allow us to get into that time lock!"

“No. I don't believe that. I refuse to believe that!”

"There ISN'T a way back in! Don't you see? You got away before the time lock was placed! There's NO way in and NO way for anyone to get out. We cannot lift it. It's permanent!"

“Time locks have been passed through before. It can be done again!”

"It's gonna be a bumpy ride! Hold on tight! Keep your hands, arms, feet, legs, and TARDIS inside until Sexy comes to a complete stop!"

“Doctor. Doctor!”

The Crusader shook as the TARDIS did, quickly grabbing on to the nearby controls to keep from falling to the floor.

[Doctor Who]

"GERONIMOOOOOO!" The TARDIS shifted through space and time. Oh, he loved it! He loved the thrill of a new adventure coming his way! What new surprises would be in store? As long as it didn't have anything to do with Daleks or Weeping Angels, he'll be content. Best of all this will serve as a distraction from the question he didn't want to answer the fellow Time Lord. With a loud THUD, the TARDIS arrived at its destination. "Right, now, let's see." He pulled a screen down, tapped it to make the picture focus, and he squinted his eyes, "...huh, well, that's the last place I expected us to be."

[Ayen]

"GERONIMOOOOOO!"

The Crusader wasn't used to having to hold on to anything in her own TARDIS. Did this man not have a Gyroscopic Stabiliser? Was it busted? There didn't seem to be a voice command either. Just how old was this thing? The rattling would come to a stop as the TARDIS arrived at its designation and The Crusader straightened herself up her eyes then falling upon the Gyroscopic Stabiliser over on the mechanical panel.

“Forget to activate the Gyroscopic Stabiliser did we?”

"Right, now, let's see. ...huh, well, that's the last place I expected us to be."

The Crusader looked over The Doctor's shoulder at the screen.

“Where are we?”
