Hollowton was small and yet huge, but all the more dangerous. The two young vampires found out the hard way as their music had attacked the pair, costing the both of them an eye each. Fresh blood still seeped from under the eye patches the twins wore like tears. Both were still bruised and scratched from from the encounter, but nothing serious. they sat on the cobblestone side walk next to the road. Versa, the girl, was still sobbing over the loss of her eye. Vice, being the good brother he was, hugged her close and comforted her. No words needed to be said for they both shared the same thoughts at the moment. They were scared, but Vice needed to hide his fear in order to comfort Versa. His firm protectiveness reinforced this. Few people were wandering the streets that night, but all of them recieved the threatening glare from Vice's yellow cat-like eye.
No one dared to challenge the threat, and soon they were the only ones on the streets. With no-one else around, Vice allowed himself a tear as he held his sister close. Little did they know that someone else was near....

It was a beautiful night, this night. The night sky was clear and throughout were the scattered stars of the universe shining their brilliant light upon the quiet town. Saephara's face was turned up, feeling the gentle breeze flow across her skin. After a moment she smiled and set her head straight to look down the street that she was on. Life had slowly gotten back on track after the incident with the plague that had ravaged the city. The cure had been discovered and dispersed throughout the affected subdivisions, saving an untold amount of lives. For that, she was truly grateful. Additionally, she was now working as an...assistant of sorts under Sir Integra of Hellsing. It was interesting to see how things changed so drastically in such a short amount of time. Grasping her new bow more tightly, she began down the road with graceful confidence. She had a new change of clothes as well that she had grown quite fond of. She wore a pair of black leather pants that looked to be painted along her legs, on her torso a deep purple bustier top that cut just short of her navel and left her shoulders bare. The seal across her chest was showing prominently against her slight tanned skin for the world to see. The black leather boots had a wedge heel that still resounded that ever so slight 'click' as she strode along. She had left her silver hair loose to let the wind take it, making it flow softly. It was a tad warm on this night so she had opted to leave her coat at home and enjoy the atmosphere.
As Saephara turned the corner and continued down the street, she noticed immediately that the street was barren. Except for two small children, she corrected herself as she approached gently. Staying to the opposite side of the street, Sae came up onto the young ones and stopped. It seemed that they were twins. The young boy held the young girl in a loving embrace, trying to protect her from the world. The two were also scuffed and bruised, as if they had been in a fight. The brief sight made her hesitate. They seemed...familiar to her. Like she had seen them elsewhere before. She just couldn't walk away from the two... Sae turned and knelt down slowly as to not alarm the two, setting the bow on the ground beside her to show she meant no harm. Her hair fell to hit the dirty street but she paid no mind to it. She kept her sapphire eyes soft as her voice as she asked the pair, "Hello there young ones...i will not harm you. I have no intent to do so. Would you like to tell me your names?"

Vice's eyes stared deep into the woman who just approached him and his sister. He wanted to believe her but he and his sister had been betrayed too many times. Versa however didn't feel that way and looked up to the woman with a slight smile. The same smile disappeared when she began to cough, hard. Vice held her close, his eyes trailing to her in shock. They haven't been sick for decades. Can the dead get sick? It would seem so. The sickness must be from this city, which was also strange because they haven't been here long.
"My name is Vice, and my sister's name is Versa", the twins said, looking up at her with their yellow eyes. "What is your name Miss?", Versa asked with a returning smile on her face. Her face was no longer hidden, but it still lay comfortably on Vice's shoulder.
((OOC: Vice's speech color is blue. Versa's speech is red. When they speak at the same time it is purple))

At the first sight of their yellow gaze, Sae knew they were not human. Each one wore one eye patch covering opposite eyes and she saw the trail of fresh blood on their cheeks. At the first cough from the little girl, her resolve grew more solid. She felt she needed to take care of these children somehow. Why they were on the street in the condition that they were, she did not know and she would not pressure them. Children were fierce, but fragile. They could break so easily.
She relaxed as the young man introduced himself and the young lady did the same. Vice and Versa, eh? Not the most difficult of names to remember, much less for twins. A gentle smile came across her lips as she dropped one knee to the cobblestone and raised one hand to caress the seal across her chest. "My name, Vice, Versa, is Saephara Crosswell. You may call me Sae for short." She paused before standing once again, taking into her hand again the bow she had laid upon the ground to place it on her shoulder, then walked carefully to stand in front of the pair. Slowly, she offered her gentle hands to the two and asked, "Would you two like somewhere to stay for the night? It is safe. I swear it upon my family name."

"Yes", the twins answered simultaneously. They were used to this, their minds were so similar. The two held each other's hand as they reached for Sae's hands to pull themselves's up. Once on their feet they distanced themselves from the lady, still afraid of her dispite her kindness. It was hard for them to trust her dispite their knowledge otherwise. They decided to go with her, and if she showed any reason that the kids shouldnt trust her, get out of there. It was simple, and the twins sealed the unspoken thread between them with a nod towards each other.

Of course the trust would not be immediate. They were lonely children that had been through some sort of ordeal. Saephara nodded ever so slightly and simply said, "All right then. Shall we be going then? I have a motorcycle not too far away from here and if anyone does come, I will be sure to take care of them for you." She winked as she ended her sentence and began to walk back the way she had came, listening carefully to make sure she could hear their footsteps behind her.
The plan now? She wasn't entirely sure. She would take them to her parent's home at least for the night and to determine what exactly they were and where they had come from. Were they hungry? What was their life like before now? There were so many questions that ran through her head that she forced them aside to be able to pay attention to their surroundings. 'Now we take a turn here...' she thought as they turned the corner that she had not too long ago. They continued on and a couple on a midnight stroll came their way. Saephara moved to the right hand side and nodded to the two saying, "Good evening," before continuing on. She could only hope that the children stayed with her. Oh, what was Integra going to say about her caring for children now. Sae simply sighed and carried on as if there were not a care in the world.

Trust would come sooner than they thought. Sae was almost like a mother, almost. Noone could replace their mother, even though she was dead. Perhaps this was the source of their distrust? Not wanting anyone to replace their parents. Ignoring the couple they just passed they ran up in front of Saephera with joy in their eyes.
"Do you like Music? We would like to play for you!" The Twins said together exitedly. They never once let go of each other's hands. They were slightly different, but were exactly the same in their love for music. The woman had failed to recognize all the luggagee on their backs, which were actually several cases of instruments. They only had a few clothing items but their main love was music, not clothing.

Sae looked down at the twins as they rushed up and in front of her, asking if she would like music to be played for her by them. She blinked not once, but twice. These two could play? She couldn't help but wonder what and agreed by nodding, saying, "Very well then, young ones. We must play as we walk along. We are not that far from my vehicle now." As an after thought, she turned her head up to the skies and asked, "What types of music do you play, Vice and Versa? Something exquisite I am sure."
Another sharp pain similar to the one before tore across her shoulder blades as she walked and she was sure to bite her lip and swallow her cry. She couldn't let these children know of any pain, nor let them discover that darkness that had stayed quiet since she had spoken to it last. She had agreed to give in part of herself in order to gain a greater healing ability. To receive, you must give? It was an understandable way of the world. She lifted a hand to place it on her seal and let go of a breath she hadn't realized she had been holding.

Vice frowned in thought. The vehicle was only a short distance away. Not enough for a full song... perhaps one when they get to wherever they were going. Of course! Vice chuckled in amusement and looked to Versa. She had heard his thoughts and nodded approvingly. Vice looked to Sae and said, "That is hardly enough for one song Miss, perhaps one when we get to wherever we are going. As for what music we play, we play any type of music we know of. I think you'll like whatever we play."
Versa nodded after her speech and ran to her and slipped her hand into hers with a smile. Versa's hands were ice cold, void of hardly any heat. Did the dead have warm blood? Not a chance. Vice chuckled but deep down he knew Versa was too trusting, full of good spirit, innocent.... but Vice tried to support her trust for anyone. Vice moved to the other side of Saephera, but did not take her hand. He may have trust for Saephera, but he didn't trust these streets, these demon infested streets.

Sae nodded to the two and the girl came up to hold her hand. She looked down upon the girl's hand in wonder. Her hands were freezing cold, yet she seemed unconcerned with it. The boy came to her other side and just walked along. Vice seemed more guarded than Versa was.
They finally arrived to her stretched motorcycle. It was beautifully and completely blacked out. Every square inch had the dark color along it's surface. She loved it. Grabbing her helmet, she unlocked the rear seat and passed the strap through one of the loops on the inside and buckled it together, closing the seat again to keep the helmet in place. Next she threw her leg over the giant machine to cradle it between her thighs and kicked the stand up, balancing it on the two wheels. Looking down at the children, she said, "Now, I'm going to place you, Vice, behind me so you can hold onto my waist. Versa, you will be seated in front of me so that I can balance you with my arms and legs. Have either of you ridden a motorcycle before?" She did not mean to sound demeaning but it was important to know so that she may explain what was to happen. As she waited for a response, she pulled a hairband out of the pocket on her jeans and began to braid her hair.

"We have once", the twins said as they did as instructed. They were younger when they had ridden one, but the memory was fresh on their mind. The two giggled as they mounted the bike, looking it over with awe. The ones they have ridden were literally bicycles with motors, early types. This new experience was exciting for them.
Versa was scared as much as she was excited. Vice could feel an invisible field pressing him on the bike, keeping him in place. He knew Saephera would feel the same. He also knew that she would ask questions later about it, and perhaps regard the two as freaks like the rest of the world did. Versa felt the same way but they both knew she wouldn't... or would she? Vice and Versa were growing hungry, and they did bad things when they were. People died, then people hated the twins... Saephera would hate them too. He wanted to grab his sister and run away, but the telekinetic forces around them kept him in place. He decided to go along with Saephera.

Feeling the pressure on her after the twins had mounted her bike, Saephara was a tad bothered by it. Only because she did not like to have any force exerted on her by anyone or anything. But, it was not so horrible that she would demand anything of the two. They were still skittish, after all. Instead, Saephara chuckled lightly and said, "There is no reason to be afraid. I am a very good rider. So calm yourself and enjoy the ride." She ruffled the hair of Versa and nudged Vice behind her gently with her elbow. "Now, it is very simple to ride passenger on a vehicle such as this. Simply hold on tight, look where I turn and lean the opposite direction. It will help to counteract the weight of the motorcycle so we do not fall and harm ourselves." It felt good to be teaching young ones the wonders of this powerful machine and she could not wait any longer. ["This is going to be loud," she stated as she leaned over Versa, inserted her key and turned it on, pressing down on the ignition button to bring the bike to life.
It purred smoothly as she adjusted slightly to get to where she was comfortable. She nearly forgot to fold her bow and place it in the compartment that was built into the sleek design on the rear of the bike. She pulled a pair of black riding glasses out and placed them over her eyes. Grasping onto the handles, she revved the engine slowly to ready it for the ride. When she felt it fall into the perfect rhythm, she pulled the clutch in and pulled up her left foot to press down on the lever, dropping the bike from neutral to first. Slowly releasing the clutch and giving the bike some gas, Sae yelled, "Hold on tight!" With that, off she went.
Her braid was held down by Vice holding onto her by her waist as the wind flew by them with a ferocity not seen by most. The freedom she felt when she rode was what made her buy the contraption at first. It felt as if she were flying and nothing could stop her. ..well, a building could, but she wasn't counting on that anytime soon. Especially with these beloved two that were riding with her. Saephara smiled, changing gears as if the levers were a part of her body. It just felt so...natural. She flew by brick buildings and tore through alleys, turning sharply to get onto other roads. There were times where she had laid the bike so low to the ground, her knee scraped along the stone but she had done worse before. She was only worried about how the children fared with her adventures.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It took all of 30 minutes to arrive at their destination. Sae slowed the bike through the alleyway until it came to a full stop, placing the bike into 1st gear, then neutral before turning it off. Holding onto Versa and feeling Vice still holding on, she kicked down the bike's stand and let it rest on the small piece of metal. "Come now. We are here. It is right around the corner."
The twins were numb from the ride, and nearly stumbled to the ground when they got off the bike. The experience was exhilarating! The twins didnt walk far before they stopped, waiting for their new friend. They smiled and they laughed like only children can. The stood there clasping their hands over each other.
"Thank you, for the ride Miss Saephera... not many people are willing to do us a kindness such as this.", Vice said thankfully with a slight smile toward Saephera, with Versa nodding in agreement next to him.
Saephara smiled again at the twins as she walked to meet up with them. "It is my pleasure. Now..." She continued around the corner and walked up a short flight of steps to the doorway of her home. She quickly opened it and pushed it back, walking inside. "This, children, is my home. You are free to stay here as long as you would like."
Downstairs they would find the living room, dining room and kitchen along with a play room. The home had been left the same since she had left so many years ago and she hadn't had the strength to rid the home of the dust that littered everything. The living room was simple with a long couch, wooden coffee table and a television set. In the far wall, there was a fireplace for the colder of nights. The free corner held all of her possessions still. She hadn't made time to come back and transfer them to Hellsing where she resided now. The dining room held 3 chairs and a booster seat still; the kitchen was updated with the most modern technology at the time. Up the stairs were the master bedroom and two guest bedrooms in addition to the bathroom. She had at the very least washed the linen in all the rooms occasionally. At the moment though, she turned around and faced the children, hiding the pain in her heart with a smile. "Well? What do you think?"
