A trek into the new (Raal/ OPEN)

[Ayen]

“Look out!”

The three leaped back out of range of the acid spit that hit the ground and started to burn through it before looking back into the alleyway. Ranko's eyes didn't have much difficulty tracking the alien's speed as she had mastered advance agility and agility tracking centuries ago and Ra could see in the dark no problem. Since Jill was the only one having problem seeing with her naked eyes Ranko and Ra directed her once the alien stopped and left himself exposed.

“Over there!”

Jill aimed where Ranko was looking and fired another blast of energy at the creature.

[Raal]

His barrier faded off, and when the seal locked back into place, he could not access much of his power like before. Fuck! He had to think of something. He wanted them to stop shooting so he could find another solution, but he doubted that they would be so keen as to talk since two people were killed not too long ago. Son of a bitch. Well, here went nothing.

"Wait, stop shooting!" Grand, he still sounded the same as when he arrived back in Hallowton. Oh yay.

Hopefully they would stop shooting. Raal had no idea when the seal would start moving again, so he was mainly SOL until further notice. Scar would be SOL too if one of his legs was blown off by the energy weapon. This sucked, big time. He wanted to protect his new friend, but could barely do so with the THING on his back. Shit.

[Ϟ Scar ϟ]

Scar just stood there. His arms spread out, still towers above the four. Guarding Raal thinking about what actions he could use to diverse the three from any more hostilities. He doubted they would consider such diplomatic actions so far. But he felt like he had to protect Raal, he was important to Scar, much like a master who dictated his future actions because he use to be a beast but now he would have to listen to Raal if he wanted to learn more. But learning more about magic and other powers of this world would allow him to pursue other, hidden motives. Motives he would keep a secret until he had a better advantage which he knew would come after helping Raal.


Then the blast hit him. He had seen it but made no wavering. He was steadfast, it was up to Raal what would be done and he wanted no shooting so the alien respected that. His claws sunk into the concrete and he slide back. The energy sizzled against his chest. The alien hissed loudly against the pain but endured against it. He growled as he didn’t bleed from the damage. He knew energy would make his wounds heal over from the heat but his tissue was still damage. He reached a claw down and sliced the wound off. Blood poured from it making the ground in front of him vaporize. The skin began to heal over. From the experiments humans had done to him he had healed much faster then any other xenomorph could.


Of course Scar knew that humans were too dumb to reason, they were prey, his kill, his target. But he was chained for now. The blood on the ground stopped sizzling. A noticeable hole was left in the ground. His tail moved back and forth but not in a threatening manner, no it was there to defend Raal against any attacks. He began to speak to both Raal and any of the trio that could be accessed telepathically. But he had a message, of course he understood human sympathy. He wasn’t a coward, no he just wanted to survive to kill yet another day. So he had a statement for them all, of course Raal could listen in just because he was linked to him.

”……. You humansss are sstrange beingsss….. you try to attack things without reason but my ssick friend required food….. the only raw food for him to eat was these two humansss…. Or he would of continued on in pain…. You kill cows and other creaturessss for food to survive… it is no different.”

[Ayen]

"Wait, stop shooting!"

“Did he just ask me to stop shooting?”

“Hold your fire! I want to hear this.”

”……. You humansss are sstrange beingsss….. you try to attack things without reason but my ssick friend required food….. the only raw food for him to eat was these two humansss…. Or he would of continued on in pain…. You kill cows and other creaturessss for food to survive… it is no different.”

“Who said that?”

“I believe it was the alien.”

“That's new.”

“What's wrong with your friend?”

[Raal]

He nearly collapsed had it not been for the wall behind him. They stopped. They actually stopped shooting. He got them to stop shooting. Hah, they had even heard Scar's explanation as to why. Excellent. The two had a better chance of living now. Well, everybody involved had a better chance of living now.

Now was the moment of truth. When one of them asked what was wrong, he answered instead of waiting for Scar to answer, "Ritual binding."

Raal limped out of the darkness, his attempt at a psionic-induced human illusion slowly fading out as he emerged into the light. He lowered his hood, showing what the ritual binding was already doing.

[Ayen]

“Ritual binding?”

The three women remained where they were, cautious as ever while Raal came out in the light and unveiled his hood. The three unsure what to make of it all as they looked to each other and then back at Raal.

“How did this happen?”

“And how does it relate to human flesh? What are you a cannibal?”

[Raal]

His expression did not change, even as the questions rose. What, they didn't know what a ritual binding was? Or why? Haven't they seen magic before? It was all over the place in Genesis. Even the damn tower nearby was radiating magic like crazy. How could they not miss it? Bah, whatever. To each their own.

"I can dimension jump. During one of my jumps, I was bound. I need to get this off."

His deep amethyst eyes locked onto Jill, and he dropped the human illusion he put on top of himself, distortion waves signalling the illusion's passing. His black wings were exposed, as were his feet and tail. The black horns on his head appeared as well. Raal spoke once again, sounding more tired than before.

"Lady, I'm one of many types of demon, raw meat is all I can have. How can I be a cannibal to humankind if I am not human to begin with?"

He abruptly turned around, his back to them. Raal lowered the cloak far enough so they could see the black sigils on his back, with the ancient words circling them. The veins around them had blackened, a side result of having the cursed ritual planted on him. The sigils and words looked like someone had taken a knife and carved them directly into his skin. How'd they blacken though?

"The result of the binding. Make what you will of it."

That's when the words started to move, slithering and spinning around the ancient sigils as they began to move as well. They moved on their own, shifting and twisting on his skin in ways no mortal could bring logic to. Raal involuntarily shuddered, the feeling of something crawling beneath his skin returning, like so many times before. Shit, what a nasty feeling.[/center][/size]

[Ayen]

"I can dimension jump. During one of my jumps, I was bound. I need to get this off."

The three watched as the human guise on Raal disappeared, and all that remained was his devil form, which came as no real surprise to Ranko who was used to dealing with demons who had human forms to blend in with the world around them.

"Lady, I'm one of many types of demon, raw meat is all I can have. How can I be a cannibal to humankind if I am not human to begin with?"

Jill didn't say anything in return and just viewed the back of the demon with the others, watching as the words circled around the black sigils on his back and saw the veins that were visible appearing as black as the symbols on his back.

"The result of the binding. Make what you will of it."

“That's disturbing.”

“The universes being in the state that they are, you're lucky this is all that happened to you.”

“Regardless of your current situation we can't allow you to run around eating people. If we help you get this off do you promise to leave the people here alone?”

[Raal]

Raal pulled the cloak back up unceremoniously, not caring at this point what disturbing things they saw. His eyes lit up with a hidden happiness when one of them offered to help him get it off. It darkened just as quickly when the eaten people were mentioned. Yes, he regretted doing that, but they were the only source of food at the time, for him and Scar. Speaking of Scar....

"The only reason I ate people was to help keep up my energy. I normally don't eat humans, but it was a necessity at the time. Now I don't eat humans, but he does, apparently. He was swift, quiet, and precise in returning with the corpses, something that only an expert hunter can do."

He briefly pointed to Scar, then continued, "If you don't want humans being eaten here, I suggest you find him a temporary food source until we move again."

Unless you have other plans, Scar.

[Ayen]

"The only reason I ate people was to help keep up my energy. I normally don't eat humans, but it was a necessity at the time. Now I don't eat humans, but he does, apparently. He was swift, quiet, and precise in returning with the corpses, something that only an expert hunter can do. If you don't want humans being eaten here, I suggest you find him a temporary food source until we move again."

“We can always just kill you.”

“Easy there, Jill. If we can get come out of this without a fight we have an obligation to try it.”

Ranko looked over to Scar.

“What else do you eat?”

[Raal]

Raal's gaze darkened significantly, returning his focus on Jill. He had expected this of a trigger-happy human. She would not be able to kill him easy, even with the sigil on his back. One thought and BOOM, her head would explode like putting a pin to a balloon! He didn't want to kill another human, but if she decided to threaten him again, well that may be another option to explore. Raal did not take too kindly to threats, especially when he needed assistance.

"You won't get any new allies with that kind of attitude... Jill. I thought humans were a civilized, intelligent species."

The almost murderous shimmer in his eyes disappeared like turning off a switch, returning to the tired, nearly empty state. Purple energy sparked off of his horns, like a shorting electronic device or severed electrical wires that were still active. Well fuck. The sigil had just shut off his advanced skills again. It must've locked back into place after the recent shift. The little random bits of sparking stopped after half a second of the display, and Raal's expression had changed to rather annoyed during the sparking.

One of the ladies had a point, he realized. Did Scar eat anything else besides humans? It would be beneficial to him if he did.

[Ayen]

"You won't get any new allies with that kind of attitude... Jill. I thought humans were a civilized, intelligent species."

“Killing someone who goes around eating people is a form of intelligence.”

“Jill, save your energy for when we'll actually need it.”

“Yes, ma'am.”
