"Plead for mercy?"
Phalis was insulted.
"PLEAD FOR MERCY!?"
He generated a lightning bolt in his right hand and lifted it up and pulled back. Ready to fire it towards Azrail and begin the war right here but a calm came over the God of Light by Elandriel's hand and not a moment too soon as he let the bolt disperse. For now they had avoided conflict. For now.

Hekate closed her eyes at the sound of Azrail's voice and held onto her head as if she had a headache. Until finally she forced her eyes open to look at him wishing she could see his face and read his expression, but there'd be none of that. Hekate could only imagine what he was thinking but obviously from his words he was confident that he could wipe them all out. Whoever the new god was he was no stranger to war. Good. Neither were they.
"As if a plead would mean anything to you."
Hekate listened to the elf goddess' words though never took her eyes off of Azrail. She was too afraid to. She didn't want to look at him, looking away sounded far more pleasing but the fear compelled her to stare. To not take her eyes away. That to so much as blink would end in her death. Fear was a powerful motivator like that. A gift and a curse.

The High Priestess said nothing further when Azrail and Elandriel spoke. Neither did she show much reaction to the outburst of Lord Phalis that was put to rest by the elf god. Whispers of her goddess flowed through her minds and then ceased before her eyes returned to the Baron.
“No pleads. If you invade Ignis we will bring an early Summer.”

Las Plagas maintained her role as an observer when the Baron spoke and the others responded accordingly. From the god of light's being ready to result to violence all the way down to the priestess' warning. But most of all it was Elandriel who stood out most to the demon child of Xanarnis and as such she would be the one to get her attention.
“Balance?”
Spoke the girl at length, blue eyes now on the goddess' chosen form for herself. Still not moving lest she risked beginning the war of Elim prematurely in such a sacred place as this.
“The realms have collapsed, each and every day new creatures arrive that do not belong and you speak of balance? The balance has already passed the point of repair and what the Baron does, or doesn't do, will matter very little.”
Las Plagas turned her attention away from the elf now and refocused it on the Baron.
“My master cares not of balance. She sends me here with a message. Attack Xanarnis, threaten its people and she will see to your end at the cost of her own life and I will adhere to her every word.”
Las Plagas expected the message to mean very little to the Baron, but that only made things all the more exciting for her.
“Personally, winter is my favorite time of year.”

There remained silence from him as Elandriel spoke her words, he would allow them all to speak their minds curious to hear the things they had to say finally he was given his time to speak, "Mhoar Palu was not tired, he was weak. He was afraid that his body could not pay the price of a full war. He decayed with every step and so he would slumber with each passing day. He forged alliances so no one would stamp him out in his weakest state."
"The moment this body and his soul combined he was fueled with nearly ten thousand years of war, he knew he could expand the boundaries of the dead city making the entire continent of Elim a grave yard. He would finally be able to spread his plague across the seas to the other nations of this planet. Sadly, I wish none of that. I am just here to take the heads of everyone who stands in my way and leave a body count behind, my minions will raise them later."
The demon child began to speak but before she could finish her masters threat Azrail began laughing at her, "Your master hides behind demons of unbalance and she dares threaten the likes of me? A god who has made enemies out of all of you and shown up to be outnumbered? No, Xanarnis will fall just like any other. And when the balance is fully broken it shall rebuild itself on death."

"That matters little, Las Plagas," Elandriel shifted her hardened gaze at the demon, "The realm itself may have lost balance, but we have not. We know what must be preserved and what must be lost in our lands." The gods were in charge of keeping the scales even in Elim, and they were the ones to ensure it stayed that way.
She said no more to her. The new Death God was speaking, and patiently, she listened to his words. He wasn't going to back down. Azrail's determination to complete his goal would not be deterred by a chance to second guess his choice. The rest of The Council was in agreement: they will not surrender to him and fight if it came to that. It was time to make that clear.
"Balance cannot be preserved on death. Without the cycle of life and death, it is impossible." Elandriel's voice was now booming, but she still spoke slowly and calmly, "You are provoking The Council to take action. Know this: we will defend our homes and our people with all the power we have at our disposal."

Even while the object of the council's summons made himself known and declared his intentions to all those who would oppose him, Dalgar remained quite silent, concealed in the distant darkness. These beings were the masters of Zorteth's governance - all save for Azrail. Dalgar therefore had no place to speak amongst them.
She could see, however, that it was likely she and her kin would again be called to action. An influx of new inmates, doomed to Zorteth's confines, would not be unexpected.

"I see no reason to extend these proceedings any further," said the God of Light keeping his eyes focused on Azrail. "You are not the only one who has seen ten thousand years of war. We await you on the battlefield if you're foolish enough to march on Elysios' soil. Elandriel, it's been a pleasure. Hekate?" He extended his hand for the witch to take before they departed.

"Weak? You call him weak?"
It was more of an honest question than a challenge or anything else. To think of Mhoar Palu as weak, fearing the strain his body could take. What did that mean for her? Did it mean she was even weaker than Mhoar Palu were for continuing to fear him? Could she had become the new death god if she was brave enough to challenge him? Phalis took her attention off of that and Hekate simply placed her hand inside his before looking back at the others.
"Charmed."

“We have nothing further to discuss.”
Unlike the god of light who were already ready to depart from the shrine, the Jane Doe waited for the meeting to be officially adjoined by the one who called it before taking their leave of the temple. Silently praying to the Fire Goddess to give her and her warriors courage for the trials to come.

Las Plagas met the harsh gaze of the elf god with a smile. Remembering how long it had been since Elim has seen war. Oh sure there were many battles and smaller size conflicts, but a war on the grand scale hasn't been seen since long before the demon child was bred life. She hoped they hasn't gotten rusty after all this time.
“I hope you're right, My Lady. It would be a great shame if the fate of the Jherra gods were to befall Elim.”
Las Plagas wouldn't even get to finish her sentence as she watched Azrail laugh and listen as he said his piece. The others had nothing more to say and the demon child would wait for the meeting to be adjourned before reporting back to Ashley.
It was only polite.

"You are provoking The Council to take action. Know this: we will defend our homes and our people with all the power we have at our disposal." -Elandriel
"And it still wont be enough to stop me," he noticed several about to leave and he raised his hand, "Do not leave because of me, Elandriel has much to discuss with you, I have only come to remind you... Winter is coming." Azrail had turned and was already walking toward the door when he said that. If there was nothing left to be said to him he would be leaving.
Outside his guards had already reanimated the thirty of them were eyeing up the living guards but remained tame and loyal to the words of their master, Azrail. However, if they were provoked they would instantly go into attack mode, naturally this would be a problem for most people yet Azrail cared little what happened so long as the peace would remain, for now.

Elandriel was frozen in place, her eyes not once blinking nor wavering from Azrail. It wasn't until he left the ancient grounds did she turn to face the rest of The Council. She did have something to say, but it wouldn't be much--she knew the members had much to prepare for, for a future attack. This discussion will be brief. "Wait." Elandriel's tone was much quieter now, "Azrail's intentions are very clear. We are in agreement of stopping him should he attack, but it brings up an important question that we must put to vote."
She stood beside her empty chair and slid her fingers along it, "Do we wish to wait for him to make his first move, or shall we bring the fight to him? By doing that we would leave our lands without our full defense, and he has summoned many undead. Are we willing to take that risk?"

"You should have let me struck him with the lightning bolt."
Said Phalis flatly as he guided his wife back to the chair now that Azrail had taken his leave.
"Let him come. Let him invade our territory where our powers are at their strongest. I will strike him down like I have all others who dare cross Elysios," he spoke arrogantly.

A wave of relief washed over the Death Witch when Azarail and his presence was gone but she knew that was only a temporary relief as she sat back down. Sighing at her husband show of arrogance in the face of their enemy as she massaged her temple.
"He has the numbers game on his side. Even if we split up our forces leaving one half to defend and the other to combine and attack he can still swarm our lands at the same time and we still don't know fully what he's capable of. It depends how much you're willing to sacrifice."
