Summer let out a small snort after the guard finished talking to Tall Jake. She didnt think of him as the kind who would be ok with people not doing what he wanted, when he wanted. Forgetting she had been talking to Mey-Rin for a second, she turned to the guard. "Why cant you see us now, we are here and then its one less group you need to deal with later." When she spoke, you could clearly hear the annoyance in her voice.

Tall Jake hesistated briefly, then suddenly hooked his fledgeling around the throat with his staff and pulled her back. "As much as I enjoy a good bloodbath, something else pulls my attention. Ademi, do you feel it?" he asked his fledgling as he turned his gaze towards the city. The corners of his lips pulled back in a dangerous look of cold amusement. He took a half step forward, expecting his fledgling to follow, but his gaze swept to Mey Rin. "Something evil stretches towards the city soon. You may continue with us, and I will extend to you my protection. The choice is yours." Something in his strange voice held truth upon his promise. Without any further words to Mey Rin he continued towards the city.

Mey Rin was both embarrassed and infuriated that her new companion was trying to make it out like it was all her fault that they were trying to intrude on the Queen's precious time: her two companions seemed to care even more than she did about finding a way back to where they came from, by which I mean simply that her intuition told her at least the man saw it as a duty to return, the way he was so no-nonsense about everything. Mey Rin simply greatly wanted to return--if she could not, she would learn to be content. If this man was told he could not return, he surely would search for a miracle, surely would exhaust the most fantastical of possibilities, to ensure he got home; Mey Rin was sure of this. And right now he was trying to avoid suspicion or something with the guard by making it look like he was helping some stupid female find her friends.... She took off her glasses. "I understand; I merely wished to inquire about the possibility of returning home. I should have looked to an authority much lower than the Queen; I suppose I was hoping she might know of a way to accomplish what I already know anyone else would tell me is impossible. I was told I came through a portal, home one second and here the next. I'm sure it's some sort of impossible witchcraft. But thank you for informing us about the petition."She answered Summer, "I worked for the Earl of Phantom'ive with my fellow servants: Bardroy, Finnian, Tanaka, Sebastian, though Sebastian disappeared with the Earl about a year ago. I don't know any of their last names except for Sebastian's, which is Michaelis. Actually, I think Tanaka is Tanaka's last name, I don't know. Nobody 'ere would know 'em so it doesn't matter." But she wasn't sure Summer had entirely listened to her, and then the man said he was leaving. She followed him out.

".... I've heard of that Sebastian. He is currently in the employment of Miss Integra Hellsing at the Hellsing manor not far from here. If you are looking for Sebastion, you might can catch him there or downtown running errands. I heard he is one hell of a butler... as for your waiting to see the Queen, there is an Inn nearby." Cloud dug into his pocket and withdrew a sack full of Hollowton currency and tossed it to Tall Jake.
"As for the portals I'll save you time by telling you what Her Highness might say, there are few ways to travel to other worlds or dimensions. One is space travel, and the other is through portals. Space travel is slow, with the other being the fastest. We are currently in a multitude of wars at the moment over the possession of the Downward Spiral, a gateway to other realms. That tower maybe your best bet of getting home. I can make similar portals but the medium is different, mine uses darkness, the same kind of darkness that can strip you of everything."

When Summer saw Cloud toss the bag of money, she instintively ran the few steps towards Tall Jake and reached out her hand, catching the bag and almost dropping it. Quickly she used her other hand and caught it before it could spill out all over the ground. She grinned sheepishly then stood up straight, bag in one hand as she shoved her hair out of her face with the other. She turned to Tall Jake "Tall Jake, there is something wrong around here." She paused and took a deep breath. "The air smells off."

Tall Jake narrowed his eyes and snatched the bag from her, rapping her upside the head with his free hand. "Clearly" he drawled. A sound like tiny crabs clacking filled the air as what could only be described as living darkness creeped from his coat to consume the sack. As it withdrew it made a rather creepy hissing noise. Tall Jakes eyes locked on Clouds as he smirked grimly. "It seems you and I have at least one thing in common" He then turned back to the city and sighed, then continued without another word.

Summer paused for a moment, scowling at Tall Jake's back before flashing a charming smile at Cloud and Mey-Rin. She then turned and started hurrying after the strange man, calling over her shoulder "Hey Mey-Rin! If you want to come with us, you better hurry. Tall Jake waits for no one, not even me." With that, she started jogging and caught up with Tall Jake easily. "Where are we going now?" She asked, her eyes bright with excitment

Tall Jake seemed thoughtful. "You are still half human, and our companion more. You both will require rest and. .. Sustenance..." Something about the way he said that last bit gave it an eerie edge as he led the small group, following Clouds advice in a rare show of... humility?

Mey Rin couldn't believe it, what Cloud had said. There couldn't be two] people named Sebastian who referred to themselves as one hell of the butler... Hellsing Manor. That's where she needed to go.
But for now, she would stick with the strange man. He didn't seem bent on harming her at this moment, and right now she was grateful for the help. Once she found Sebastian, she knew he would... help.... wouldn't he? He had before, he thought she was a great sniper. He would probably know of someone she could work for.
She followed the man and Summer.
