Sparda hadn't been expecting Lori to already be seeing a newcomer, especially one who was so willing to offer his services. The devil allowed himself a pleased smile as Sazan led this petitioner away to a spare room, always happy to have more help, then brought Cloud forward when Lori prompted them.
With nothing to say, Sparda waited for Cloud to explain himself. The demon thus stood aside quietly, with Cloud's great sword still in his hand.

"Muchas gracias."
That was easier than he thought it was going to be but... He was Iron Man. He had that kind of luck. Tony walked over to Sazan with JARVIS close behind him and followed the woman out of the throne room as he looked around the castle he'd be calling home for the time being.

"Escort him to the spare room we have on the third floor so he can get started."
“Yes, My Queen. Right this way, Mr. Stark.”
"Muchas gracias."
Sazan smiled and led Tony out of the throne room leaving Lori alone with Sparda and the intruder turned guest. There was never a dull moment around here. More and more it was beginning to feel just like home. Only this time their home wasn't going to be destroyed by their enemies. This time they would prevail.

Cloud usually didnt like to speak much... but it seemed he had no choice the moment. "Forgive me Your Majesty for my intrusion. I'm not used to this.... world yet." Cloud started, with his blue eyes making contact with hers for a moment before looking away. "Darkness can live if strong enough... if it is fed... nurtured... and tempted. Mine lives and lives to torment me and others, spreading his darkness across the worlds. For years me and his victims have suffered from his doings and each day another falls to his blade. I've spent a lot of time tracking him down through my profession as a mercanary, and have word that he is here... on Genesis, the focal point of many catastrophies. I aim to stop him from adding a single person to his list of fallen." Cloud said clearly with anger sincere anger building his his throat. He hated what Sephiroth did... it ticked him off.
"I cannot stop him alone... not on this world. The world is far to big and everywhere I go I catch glares and contemptful stares. You are the only one who can help me. By my honor as a Soldier, I can only trade my life for his." Cloud said trailing off at the end quietly. His eyes wondered downward. After his intrusion... he doubted the Queen would help him... if not who else could?

Lori listened as Cloud explained himself but his explanation left behind more questions than they did answers. She had read cases on "darkness" that can be wielded by vampires, demons and witches. But he didn't narrow it down to any of these things. Just a single person who he clearly despised that could be anything. "Who is this man you speak of?"

"He is my embodiment of darkness. He calls himself Sephiroth. He is tall, and has long silver hair.... carries a long sword. Has a single black wing on his back." Cloud stated, explaining his other's description. "He tends to seclude himself from others, or others tend to move away from him."

Tall, silver hair and a long sword. The description wasn't ringing any bells for the Queen so she looked over to the only tall silver-haired man with a long sword she knew. "Sound like anyone you know?"

"Sephiroth..." Sparda shook his head, eyes upon Her Majesty. "Doesn't sound familiar, but a description like that couldn't exactly blend in with your average Jherran citizenry. At any rate, if he has some vested interest in this Cloud-" at this moment, the devil turned his gaze upon the blond swordsman - "he's bound to come looking for him. And when he does, we'll be ready to deal with him."

"So you will help me?", Cloud asked, head cocked to the side. They were discussing it, but did not confirm this. Cloud needed it confirmed. Confirmation brought security, and security was bliss. At the moment of that thought, a strained feeling crawled up on of his arms. He remembered that he was still bound. maybe there was exceptions to his thought, he thought chuckling slightly and quietly.

"I'm in the middle of two wars and trying to develop diplomatic relations with another so I'm afraid a search is out of the question. I need my resources here. However if you choose to stay then Sparda is right. This Sephiroth will come to you and we'd be able to eliminate him on our own turf. I've been wanting to test out the auto-turrets on a live target for a while now."

"Thank you Queen.... I have no where else to go my Queen." Cloud said with a relieved smile as he bowed his head slightly at her. He was thankful of course, but there was something else. Nothing was for free, and Cloud would make sure he would not recieve this as a gift, but rather a trade or a deal. "You mentioned you were involved in two wars? Would you accept my help? I am no ordinary mecanary as I am loyal to my employers. Considering the enormous debt I could never be able to pay back if Sephiroth was killed... I would serve under you if you would have me..." Cloud continued as he eyed his blade in Sparda's hand. Cloud hand itched for the blade, and its absent weight made him feel as light as a feather, which was strange to Cloud.

That made the second offer of assistance they had in the same day. At this rate Hallowton was going to be flooded with people who wanted to help their war. Not that she could complain given her situation but there was still the question of what this man could bring to the table. "Sparda. You had a chance to test this man's fighting capabilities, if I'm not mistaken. What do you make of him?"

"I had no occasion to fight him off, Your Majesty," came Sparda's answer. He caught Cloud's glance at the massive sword; he must be missing it, the devil mused. It was probably very important to him, just as Force Edge was to the Dark Knight. "He was smarter than to have it come to that. But taking a cursory measure..."
He paused, turning to face Cloud and regarding him with a gaze of long, purposeful scrutiny. "I'd say he's nothing to take lightly. Certainly not a force that would go amiss under our banner."

"I used to be a member of a military branch called SOLDIER.... we were the best our nation could offer, until our world was consumed by darkness, forcing me elsewhere. Sparda is right though" Cloud stated, shifting his hands to get a more comfortable position in his restraints. If he would have fought Sparda earlier, he may have not have ever set foot in the room breathing.

The Queen took a moment to think it over, weighing the pros and cons of this man's service in her mind before finally breaking the silence again with her voice, filled with the royal and authoritative tone one would come to expect from a member of the Royal Family. "Very well then. Give him back his weapon, he'll need it if he intends to serve me."
