Thor looked around, his eyes scanning his surroundings as he kept his hammer held in his right hand. He didn't recognize his surroundings beyond the fact that it was a forest. Was he back on earth or a different world altogether? It looked like earth but the sky. A second ray of light shone alongside the first and to his knowledge the earth only had one sun. So it couldn't be earth. But if it was not earth then what was it? And where was his brother? Did he have the Tesseract? The Thunder God couldn't afford to wait and find out. He rushed through the forest in search for Loki, or anyone who could assist in where he was and how he got there.

Priest ▪ Kreznik 02 ▪ AX Agent"Who can say what stops one, what starts one. Is it simply that I do not wish to kill another person? Simply because I like people?"
"Ugh.." Abel blinked furiously for a few moments, trying to regain his senses as light flooded his vision. Blinded for a second, he sat up, rubbing his eyes before looking around.
Where was he?
Looking up, Abel spotted two suns. Well, wherever he was, he surely wasn't on Earth anymore. Or anywhere in the Solar System. But he hadn't heard of humans colonizing anything besides Mars, much less a planet in a binary star system. It was perturbing to say the least. He had last been in the Vatican, on his way to make a report to the Cardinal when he had suddenly gotten dizzy... Falling back on the ground, Abel stared through the trees again, sighing. This was going to be a problem.
The sound of someone approaching caught Abel's attention, and the priest tensed. They were rapid, footsteps, of a man running. At least what he hoped was a man running. Bipedal, though. He stayed as still as possible on the ground. Hopefully the figure would pass by without noticing him, and he could follow. Then he could figure out where he was.
Of course, this plan was shot to hell when the person approaching stepping on Abel. "Hnng!" Clutching his stomach, Abel rolled over, grunting in pain. "That hurrrt." He wasn't badly injured or anything, but that didn't mean that he couldn't whine about it.

Thor stopped in his tracks when he heard a noise. Turning around to find that noise was from a man who he had apparently stepped on. The Asgardian Prince observed the male, making sure he wasn't seriously hurt by the Thunder God's feet before speaking to him. "My apologies stranger. I did not mean to flatten you. I am searching for my brother. A pale man with black hair and dressed in green with a large staff. Have you seen him?"

Abel smiled sheepishly, picking himself up. "It's okay." He managed, still rubbing his stomach and wincing slightly. "I'll be fine. It just reminded me that I haven't eaten anything in three days, that's all." Working as a priest did have its setbacks, including minimum wage. Most of the time he barely had enough to pay for train tickets, much less meals. If only Caterina had allowed him to get something to eat before going to see her... sighing, he listened to Thor speak and then shook his head.
"I'm afraid I haven't seen such a man," Abel commented, a carefree, almost goofy smile appearing on his face. "In fact, you're the first person I've run into. I'm a bit lost, you see. You wouldn't be able to tell me where I am, would you?" Something suddenly occured to him and he jumped slightly.
"Oh!" He exclaimed. "Where are my manners?" Smiling pleasantly, he extended his hand to shake. "I'm Father Abel Nightroad, a travelling priest of the Vatican."

No luck. The first person he came into contact with and he was just as clueless to their whereabouts as he was. That would suggest that he and Loki were not the only people that has been transported to this world, whatever it was. Did the Tesseract cause this? That was the only explanation Thor had to give to himself until he could find out but first he had to find his brother before he could do more damage to another defenseless world. Hearing the man give his introduction he in turn did the same. "I am Thor, son of King Odin and an Asgardian Prince. I am afraid I cannot you see, I too am foreign to these lands. I was just on my way back to Asgard with my brother when we were transported here by mistake. I had first thought I had returned to the planet earth but they only have one sun."Thor took another glance to the sunlight that bled through the trees, careful not to blind himself from the intense light of the dual suns before looking back to the priest. "My brother is a dangerous man and it is imperative that I find him."

Figures. The first person he would run into would be just as lost as he was. The name this stranger introduced himself as caught Abel's interest, though. 'As in God of Thunder?' He thought, staring at the blond for a moment. Well, he had a hammer. And his father apparently was Odin. 'This sounds like some 20th-21st century comic book or movie.' He remembered reading up some information on the Norse mythos, but he didn't remember that much about it. Who was Thor's brother... didn't he have several? In any other situation, he would dismiss the idea of hanging out with a Norse god, but he was on a planet with two suns right now, so anything was game. "Yes, I'm from Earth, too. The year 3065, actually."
"That doesn't sound good." Abel remarked casually, brushing some dirt off of his uniform. He wore the outfit so much it almost seemed like a second skin to him. "What's his name? I'm not all that familiar with Norse mythology." Whoever his brother was, Abel had the feeling he didn't want to fight him. Well, Abel honestly didn't want to fight anyone, but more than often he was forced into a situation where the use of his pistol was required. And sometimes... the priest shuddered for a moment, not wanting to let his thoughts wander down a darker path. Instead, a bright, harmless grin spread across his face.
"Well then, Thor, since I have nothing better to do, I'm more than happy to help you!"

"It gives my heart joy to know your planet survives for another millennium."Humans were fascinating creatures, if not even a little paradoxical. They held many disadvantages when compared to an Asgardian but despite their many weaknesses they endured, they rose above their limitations and continued to expand, to evolve. Whether it be through technology or otherwise. Thor honestly was not surprised at all to hear that they had survived another thousand years on their planet and expected them to go on even longer than that. "His name is Loki; god of mischief and he remains true to the name. He has deceived just as many Asgardians as he has humans. He wields a staff with a blue crystal at the end which is capable of taking control of your mind if it makes contact with your body."Thor began to move forward, slowly walking through the forest and remaining alert. Hearing the man offer his aid Thor nodded. "You have my thanks. This forest appears similar to the ones found on earth. I believe if we keep walking we will find a town where we can learn more about this world."

Abel smiled sheepishly as they walked, rubbing the back of his head as they walked. "Yes, we've made it that far..." 'Barely.' He finished mentally, looking to the side for a moment. It was curious to think that this "god" was more famaliar with the 20th- or 21st-century Earth, but it was also mildly frightening. The idea of this "god" knowing who, or more of what he was, was not something that appealed to him. But he hadn't reacted to Abel's introduction, so it was likely that this Thor fellow knew early 21st-century Earth. "A millenium, huh?" It was odd to think that he was almost that old. Sometimes he felt that old, but it didn't actually occur to him how old he was until someone else mentioned it.
Abel had gotten so absorbed in his thoughts that he failed to notice a root poking through the leaves and earth, and caught his foot on it. With a shrill cry, he face-planted into the ground, his arms flailing about as he was rudely introduced to the dirt. An unpleasant, earthy taste sat in the priest's mouth as he sat up and spit the bit of dirt out of his mouth. "Remind me to brush my teeth once we find civilization." He picked himself up rather quickly and continued behind Thor, deciding to distract himself from thoughts of Earth and instead learn more about this Loki fellow. The idea of being controlled by another... of that other person learning the magnitude of his abilities... he shuddered. "Do you know how Loki's staff-thing works?" Maybe they could figure out how to disable it.

Thor turned back around to see Abel had fallen and went over to help him up to his feet. Smiling at the man on the topic of his teeth but soon became serious again on the subject of the Scepter. "The root of its power is a blue gem that harnessed an ancient artifact of my people called the Tesseract which is also lost. It allows my brother to focus his powers. I'm afraid I cannot tell you more. Not now and even then not out in the open like this."
