Q's grin did not subside as the vessel took evasive action and try not to be turned into atomized bits. His point was made, now, and the threat of death befell the crew of the ship. Oh I find this to be enthralling, trust me. But I have better things to do, quite honestly. They're defending their space. You are a hostile vessel to them. Simple territorial issues. Feel free to let me know when you're ready to break the Prime Directive, my captain.Wedge Antilles flew lazily out of the planet's atmosphere. Despite the other planets in the system, this one was the only one worth landing on for Wedge. However, even in his desire to return home, oftentimes he longed for the vastness of space which he was so used to calling home. However, seeing the strange ships in the vastness of space made him pause. Mynock ran a scanning diagnostic, and registered their configuration to the databank. The main board displayed that the smaller ship was outclassed in many ways. Wedge had seen things like this in his time, and he knew that if the smaller ship did not do as it was told, there would be hostilities. The hostilities commenced. Wedge rolled his ship around and plotted a course to intercept the larger ship, but its transponder said something not too inviting. That it was part of the Imperial forces of Vulture. A faction he said he was going to fight against. The traditional S-foils on the X-wing spread open, and the fighter surged forward in the blackness. Myock, try every comm frequency and get that frigate on comms. Prep the torpedoes, sync them for standard shield-penetration.
This is Commander Wedge Antilles of the New Republic. I'll draw some fire off of your frigate, bug out!

The ship began to turn to align the railgun with the Midori again, meanwhile firing more phasers in the path of the ship as it shot it way out of the asteroids that blocked its path. Red Queen detected the X-Wing coming in this direction and greeted it with a photon torpedo.

The phasers hit the Midori as they came out of the asteroids nearby and the vessel shook. The captain holding onto her seat to keep from falling off as a result of the damage with shields holding at 80%. Yalea ordered the ship move under the vessel and begin firing phasers upward at the ship's bottom. By the time the railgun could move downward Yalea would already have her ship going over it. This way they only had the armor and secondary weapons to worry about.
“This is Commander Wedge Antilles of the New Republic. I'll draw some fire off of your frigate, bug out!”
Help. Yalea wasn't expecting it but she was certainly glad to see it.
“This is Captain Yalea Emris of the United Federation of Planets. Acknowledged.”
Yalea said in reply before turning back to her crew.
“All right, I want as much attention kept off the ally ship as possible. Aim for their weapons. Fire!”

Q frowned at the new coming fighter. His lack of knowledge bothered him sometimes in this world. He could not always know what was happening. This new fighter could be meddlesome. Q took a seat again, smile not erased but happiness now marred.
Warning klaxons went up on the target lock and the launching of a proton torpedo. Mynock's quick scan told him that the torpedo could wreck him without a second thought, but it's guidance came from the ship and not the torpedo itself. Wedge kicked the throttle up to max and rushed the torpedo head-on, proximity alarms warning him of the impending doom.
Mynock, at 500 meters, open the S-foils!
Wedge closed his S-foils and charged the torpedo, waiting for it to get closer and closer. The number on his screen showed the torpedo getting closer and closer at an alarming rate. At 500 meters, the S-foils began opening again, and to what seemed like Wedge a minute was only a second when he juked his fighter just a bit left, letting the torpedo sail right through the S-foils. Mynock screamed in pure terror. He returned the favor by launching two proton torpedoes at the cruiser, one hiding behind the others wake as he banked off for a strafing run.

The phasers and proton torpedoes hit. The proton torpedoes doing the most damage as Red Queen detected the resulting hull breach. Already repairs were being issued, and just like the buildings in Isafaro, the outside of the ship if one was watching was repairing itself. As if the ship was capable of regeneration. Phasers fired from all sides of the ship, precise shots aimed at the Midori and the X-Wing.

The ship shook again and shields went down to 75% and holding as their sensors picked up the damage the ally ship had inflicted on the enemy.
“Magnify!”
The screen showed a closer look at the hull breach. Seeing how the ship was staring to put itself back together parallel to how a Borg ship could. Not wanting to give the ship time to finish repairs Yalea order came as followed,
“Lock on to the hull breach and fire at will! Don't give them the chance to finish repairs.”
“Aye!”
A series of phasers and their own photon torpedoes shot out of their vessel and aimed at the hull breach as the ships maneuvered as best they could around the released phasers from the enemy ship.
“Is something the matter, Q? You've been remarkably quiet.”

Q looked up, a smirk on his face. Oh no no no, I'm just enjoying the show. You've already broken the Prime Directive, so my goal has been achieved. Again. Though this new ship is an interesting change of plans. I was expecting you to be dead by now, personally, but that asteroid slowed it down.
Wedge corkscrewed, juking and jinking randomly to evade the phaser bursts that surrounded him. A glancing blast caught his port S-foil, flaring the shields and leaving him exposed to the void. The pilot grimaced and dove for the ship, pitching and yawing to avoid being a simple target for a computer. The X-wing's crimson lasers began streaking down at the damage that Wedge was surprised to see repairing itself. Undaunted, Wedge pressed on the attack, fighter sprinting mere meters from the guns of the Vulture's ship itself, lasers lighting up anything in its path.
Captain, my droid is patching through targeting data! Kill their guns and you'll be home free!
Mynock sent a data stream of damage, painting the phaser strips that he had just blazed by, all while letting out a wail of futility.

The Red Queen went to full impulse moving the ship to where the Midori's weapons couldn't further damage the hull breach any further while at the same time aligning and charging the railgun. New damage was caused from the last Midori's attack as it came back with another massive wave from the railgun itself. Meanwhile the secondary weapons were being blown away by a close up Wedge. The remaining guns turning and firing in an attempt to blow Wedge out of the sky.

“So sorry to disappoint you,” she said sarcastically.
“Captain, my droid is patching through targeting data! Kill their guns and you'll be home free!”
Yalea looked over the data and speaking of guns, the railgun was approaching them again. The energy came in no time flat and the ship barely managed to avoid it in what was the closest shave for the Midori yet. More power was put into the engines to help evade, shield dropped to 58% and holding from the onslaught of the enemy's phasers. Had the slightest calculation been off they all would have been dead.
“Aim at these coordinates and fire! I want those weapons taken offline!”
And at her command the Midori fired at the weapons to based off the data they had received from the ally ship.

Wedge grimaced at the blast from the primary gun as he scooted by the side. He banked left and dove into the blindspot his strafe had created, watching as the friendly cruiser's laser fire lanced into the damaged ship. Wedge wasn't about to let them have all the fun, and accelerated to engage in the strafing again. Laser cannons fired in response to the turret fire, and both ships traded blows. What little shields that remained on the X-wing were striped away by a crossfire, some rounds punching through the starboard ventral S-foils, while other rounds denting the armor. Wedge snaprolled and dived out of the way, getting clear for the larger cruiser.
Draw the fire toward your ship. I've got 4 torpedoes left, and I'd need a moment to paint my target for the lock!

Red Queen performed evasive maneuvers as some of her weapons were taken down by the Midroi's ship fire. Locking a tractor beam onto the ship in an attempt to pull it aboard. Whether or not it succeeded was irrelevant. The starship would be hard pressed to do anything more than break out, if it could, while Red Queen resume cannon fire on the X-Wing. Not content with giving it that moment.

“Direct hit! Missed!”
“Draw the fire toward your ship. I've got 4 torpedoes left, and I'd need a moment to paint my target for the lock!”
“Move us in closer, Lieutenant.”
“Aye, Captain!”
It was then that the tractor beam caught them and they began being pulled towards the enemy ship. To make matters worse their weapon systems were being jammed so they couldn't fire at the source.
“Switch to full impulse! Get us out of this thing, Lieutenant!”
Full impulse engines were activated and the ship began the process of attempting to wiggle out of the tractor beam before they could be boarded.

Wedge pulled his nose up just in time to see the Miranda-class vessel be hit by the tractor beam, and no longer providing covering fire. The X-wing closed its-foils again and shot forward, faster than before. The nose swung around to follow the turning railgun, and a proton torpedo flew out of the launcher. The missile turned much harder than the X-wing did, which was now peeling off and moving around to help the cruiser.

Red Queen put more power into the tractor beam to combat full impulses and keep it from getting away. Then came the X-Wing with a direct hit into the ship's most valuable asset. The railgun. It was taken out and those inside the ship who manned the weapon were killed as a result. Red Queen fired every secondary weapon they had remaining. Bullets and phasers alike while firing two photon torpedoes of her own at the Midori while it was still trapped in the tractor beam.

“All right, Q!”
Yalea sat up from the captain's chair and looked down at where the alien currently sat.
“You got what you want. We'll help the situation in Genesis now get us out of this!”
